  1. Thanks P. I have a spacer already so I think that may be what I end up doing. Now I just need to figure out the wiring. I may run a small filter too or I may make my own ram air tubes that go into the headlights. All of that will be in the future!
  2. I didn't notice anything. I have raced twice since then and one event was quick due to the weather and the other was slow due to the weather!
  3. I used the brake cleaner in the housing but I ran out before I did the bolt holes. I got them all in but they were tight. I just assumed it was because the threads were dirty. Oh well, thank God they have a drain plug for the future! I haven't had any leaks yet except for their fill plug which I have fixed.
  4. Oh well, I was at the track when I did mine and was trying to get ready to run. I guess I may have re-threaded my rear end then!
  5. Mine were really tight as well. I just figured that it was because the threads were a little dirty. I just forced em on in there. Tighter the better I always say!
  6. The wife gave me permission to finally get a rollpan but I don't want to pay the $350 if I can help it. Anyone have one for sale? Or better yet, hey BSER hows about a sponsorship?
  7. I'm an idiot, I now, but is this an improvement over stock besides the bigger TB? I may be interested if so. Thanks.
  8. What for? Seems like you had a good business developing there. I was just going to ask about a carbon roll pan.
  9. Since I am drag racing only these days, I wasn't planning on using any filter unless I'm in windy or dusty conditions. I may use on all of the time. The jury is still out on that one. What does the sensor plug into if the stock one was in the MAF? Does it plug into the PCM directly or into the old MAF plug? Thanks.
  10. Thanks Krambo but the plan is to not use and intake or tube, just run open throttle body. Any ideas for that?
  11. I don't have a second bung. It says that it simulates a narrow band sensor so I am replacing the stock one with this. What do you do with the wires? Do they splice into the original plug?
  12. Easy, just playin' with ya! No, no more HP. Just used for tuning and engine management. Very important a bracket racer such as myself.
  13. Uh, it's a wide band o2 sensor. It monitors air/fuel ratio.
  14. I removed my intake and got things ready to tune for SD/OL with chpspecial tomorrow and these are the codes I got: P0102-MAF Circuit Low frequency P0120-TP System Performance P0220-APP Sensor 2 Circuit P1516-TAC Module Throttle Acctuator Position Performance P2135-Throttle/Pedal position Sensor/Switch A/B Voltage Correlation Are these all related to the MAF not hooked up correctly? The truck runs fine. I cleared the codes and unplugged the MAF and only P0102 returned. Also, where does the IAT sensor go? I couldn't find a place to install the new one. Thanks...
  15. How do I install this on my SSS driver's side bank 1? Do I just splice into the stock wires? TIA...

    Help!

Would it be better to just stick the wide band in the passenger side and get a stock one for the passenger?

    Help!

I scanned my code that I got last weekend and discovered that it was fuel trim lean bank 2. I am sorry, but I don't remember the number and I cleared it already. Any ideas as to what this is? Has another o2 sensor gone bad and if so, can I replace them with wide bands in both sides? I only have the front sensors on both sides. The rears were removed when the cats came off. TIA...
  18. What throttle body fits that intake and what is needed to use it on my 2003?
  19. Never broken one on mine despite all of the racing. I alway use the torque wrench and no air tools.
  20. Welcome back! Good to see you here again. I always say no cats are the best cats! I have never heard of the ones you are considering so I am no help there. What are the smog laws down in the big easy?
  21. It's okay. It turns out that the Dash Hawk is illegal in my racing class anyway because of its logging capabilities.
  22. A local tire shop should be able to fix it up for pretty cheap. If not, get an ARP or Moroso screw in stud and DIY.
  23. Art: Yes, cleaned the MAF and nothing. Brad: It was a little hesitant before the plug change and has progressively gotten worse. The overall "problem" has been progressively getting worse for a couple of months now.
  24. According to him, the truck runs okay once it is past 2000 rpm or so. At that point, it only stutters a bit when he stabs the throttle to pass someone or something,
