  1. TTT... Coming up this weekend. Can anyone confirm if they can make it or not? We are going to meet a park around 10am. Barbque will start some time afterwards at the same park. The list is up to around 15 or 16 confirmed and 7-8 possibles.
  2. IMO it's not going to bring alot of money not having a/c and only having the 305. Does it have power windows/locks? I was looking at a 78 a few weeks back that only had 60k original miles on it, it had factory air and a 350 motor. I could have bought it for around $4,300.00.
  3. If you wanna part the 90 mm TB and j-tube conversion, I'll trade you my stock tb and J-Tube plus give you cash. Let me know.
  4. Send a PM to posi12bolt. He just switched over his front end a few months ago.
  5. If you've already got the caltracs, I would just use those. I have them on my truck and they don't weigh that much. The traction you will gain from the bars will more than make up any lost time from the weight.

  7. So you still got the black SS sitting next to the garage?
  8. I've got a set of GM factory chrome 20" VHO wheels with tires. The wheels are in excellent condition with zero curb rash. Tires have about 85-90% tread left. These were off my friends 06 silverado, and he just got some 22's. He's looking to get $1,200.00 for them. Can do local pickup or shipping (buyer to pay for shipping). I'll get some pics up ASAP.
  9. I've been away for a few days. Here's the updated list along with a few food/drink things people are bringing. Anyone is more than welcome to bring something as well. Can I add you as a possible attendee Brian? 10. That's him. Sorry, he goes by .justin. here and on GMFS he goes by justinSS.
  11. Well I know .justin. is (a.k.a. justinSS) I'll post up over on gmfs and see who else is from there...
  12. You should really try to make it. Where are you from? There is a group of guys heading up from Fresno, and I'll be in a group heading down from Sacramento. Depending on your location, you might be able to meet up and caravan down... List is updated. Same goes to you on the caravan, I think there might be a few guys from San Jose heading down too, you mihgt be able to mee up with them as well. Hope to see you there
  13. Here is an updated list. For some reason I can't update the previous posted list It looks like there is going to be a big turn out. Hope to see some SS'ers out there... 14. I just talked to the guy. Apparently, it was his grandpa's truck (who died) and it was towed behind his motor home most of it's life. It was also garaged since new. It had a camper shell on it since it was new as well so the bed of the truck is mint. He's about 100 miles from my house. I'm going with cash to look at it on Sunday.
  15. Yeah my 87 had an RV cam, shift kit, and 4.10's. I usually kept 3 bags of sand over the rear end to keep the tires planted. I wouldn't do any performance stuff to this though, I'd probably just keep it as is and drive it to work everyday. I have an email out to the guy now, hopefully I'll get a response soon
  16. I've been looking into getting another truck that I can use as a daily driver. I would love a 67-72 swb truck, but I'd spend way to much money on it. I also really like the 73-87 body styles as there are so many out there and parts are fairly cheap. I use to own both a 73 and 87. I don't want anything real expensive, but it has to be clean. I found this truck on Craigslist and it's pretty close to me. Naturally there are a few things that I don't particulary like about it like the steering wheel or the tie down things on the sides of the bed. The motor compartment is a little dirty, but I can clean that up. The color is ok and wouldn't bother me at all. I don't think the truck is that bad for the money. Only has 60k original miles and is a 1 family owner truck. What do you guys think? If I can get it for around $4,200 - $4,500... Ad on truck
  17. Running with the a/c will slow you down that much. Don't feel bad, I've done it before too. Just gives you an excuse to head back out there next week.
  18. If you want better reaction times, you could try deep staging. I did that when I first started bracket racing two years ago. I could get consistant .007-.042 lights. It cuts your ET down a little though. I don't deep stage anymore as I've gotten used to the lights now. I usually try to go every other Wednesday night during racing season, although I only went about 9 times last year. I've got 12 trophies from races I've won in the past two years. It's very addicting.
  19. Ok, a date and location was finally determined yesterday. The details are listed below. I'm sure there will be at least another 10+ trucks there as well, this is just the list so far. Me and a buddy will be heading down from Sac. so if anyone one wants to meet up along the way to get a caravan going let me know. You can also check this tread...April GTG Date will be Saturday, April 7th, 2007. Location will be in Merced. It is almost directly in the middle of Fresno and the Stockton, tracy, modesto area. We need to find an exact location in Merced but at least we have the town booked. I will update the list of confirmed attendees and possible attendees as people post and let me know. Please PM me if you can go or post in here. Thanks guys. Let's make this happen. Confirmed Attendees Mauro laynlow77 Lifted03Silverado Fordsareslow 99/5.3w/hips
  20. I haven't tested it yet. Do I use just a regular volt meter and do I have to test the wires directly at the pump or can I test them right as they go into the tank? Also, how do I measure the voltage at acceleration? Do I just put the truck on jack stands and do it that way or is there a volt meter that has a really long cable or ??? I did put another fuel pressure guage on it last week to make sure the guage wasn't bad, but it showed the same results.
  21. I hope this is the right section. A couple of months ago I started to loose a few PSI of fuel pressue. I'm currently running a Walbro GSS340 fuel pump (255lph). The pump is about 7 months old and when I first installed it, the truck would idle at 62 PSI and would be around 57 PSI at WOT. Now it's down to 56 PSI at idle and drops to 52 PSI at around 45% throttle (to affraid to take it to WOT to see what it drops to). Also lately my gas guage has been acting up. For example, it will show 1/4 tank and then after a 10-15 minutes of driving it drops to 1/8 or lower and the low fuel light will come on. I can shut the truck off and start it up again and it goes back to 1/4 tank. Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking that it's either the fpr (fuel pressure regulator) of the sending unit.
