They look pretty bad ass, but it has alot more stuff on it than I would ever need/use. I probably don't use the one I have to it's fullest potential.

First off, glad you and your passenger are ok. Second, I hope GM does the right thing, and I hope this doesn't leave a sour taste towards GM. These kind of things can/do happen to all makes of vehicles. As bad as it sucks it's probably an isolated incident, and hopefully you'll get taken care of. It's weird that they could fix the problem, though.

Most GM CD units have the "Theftlock" system which renders it useless once power is disconected. If you get the VIN off of the car you take it out of then it can be unlocked. Try your local dealers to see who they use for radio repair. They may have some extra units. If not, I've personally had good luck with Pioneer and Sony receivers. You can get a nice one in the $200 range.

You probably did the best thing by walking away and letting karma run it's course. Like everyone else, I would have made him clean it off while trying to pull my foot out of his ass.

My neighbor has an 05 Expedition that is setup alot like that one. The low profile light bar, brush guard, computer, ect. Alot of stuff on those.

I was diagnosed with high blood pressure when I was in my mid 20s. Runs in my family, too. Vince, glad to see you're doing better. I'm not that far behind you, age wise (40), so these stories really hit me. Just be glad you're in good physical shape or it could have been worse. Good luck.
