like the title says... 16" stockers, will they work on the front of an 06 SSS? I know the rotors are a little bigger on the 2WD trucks.
-
Might be overkill, but i ran a 14.1 (traction Problems) with CAI, Full exhaust (no cats) and a Mail Order Tune at full weight plus some. Don't think the 4" is hurting me like some people said it would.
-
Whyyyyyyyyy? they look sick on the hoe!
-
LPPs are 1 3/4 as well
-
Damn, is that tundra stock? Just suprised, thought I wouldn't stand a chance against one, I ran a 14.1 with traction problems as well.
-
I did that on my blown 1500hd. It did good, but I just think it is a little too restricitive for a fi 6.0, but it does work.
-
man I want the 420s in a 295/50/20... what's up with that size being offered in a white wall only????? That's garbage.
-
That is a sweet ass calculator, thanks my 14.1 was run at a 1275 DA Corrected time is: Stock and Mildly Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines 13.971 @ 97.082 MPH Can I get in the 13 sec club now? hahaha
-
I would go with LPP stainless headers (or ARH if you wanna go crazy) then 3" custom duals all the way out.... Or do like me and mod the LPP Y to merge into a 4" and run a single 4" the rest of the way out. There's more room for two 3" than a single 4" above the t-bar crossmember though.... I know!

26th is looking good, should have my drag radials strapped on by then, .... directions http://www.statecapitolraceway.com/directions.htm
-
What I understand is that FI exhaust relies less on velocity and scavenging, etc. It more important to open it up and remove restriction. I say longtubes with 3" duals can handle anything you can throw at it.

Weight reduction for me would be ditching my wet bedrug and my little girls carsest, lol. Prolly drop my spare and tailgate..... plus my wheel and tire combo will be a bit lighter. Hoping for solid 13's on the stock tranny. Hope it holds for one outing at least. If i clip off a good run first pass I may not push my luck any farther, haha.
-
I'm waiting on my track wheels and tires to come in and plan on some weight reduction my next time out. You had a little better mph than I did... impressive being that's where the RWD is supposed to shine. Fun wasn't it?
-
damn near neck and neck with me with virtually the same mods.... awd vs 2wd. nice times...... but i win, haha, jk bro.
-
i just decide to get some gm 16s. hope they fit the front. gonna run 275/55/16 M & H drag radials. Maybe that will hook. With some 28" p series tires up front.

Its 20 bucks to run test n tune at State Capital, run all you want. I think 3 weeks from now would be good for me. guess thsts the last Sunday in April.
-
Good score
-
I vote for a Sunday at State Capitol for test N Tune. I went about 11am and had about a dozen people, early like that, you can run as you please w/o feeling rushed for a first timer, or park and chat. I had a blast, and track perp was great.

Corvette Servo In A 4l65e
BigCountry replied to BigCountry's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
Thanks for the info guys, i think i'll do this as a band aid to help until I get an 80e ready for the truck. Oh and I see them sold with or without a new pin... what should I get, I've heard the new longer pin helps, but don't know... that part's obvious, lol. -
I called around a few places to see if I could find a Corvette servo in stock locally and had more than one shop tell me that the 4L65e all ready had a corvette servo installed... that's part of what make it a 65. I figure it's BS since I've never heard of that before, so what's the skinny fellas?

What Is The Loudest Deepest Dirty Exhaust Out There
BigCountry replied to JohnZ1234's topic in General SS
I may have to vote Aeroturbine... The 4040XL was very deep on my truck with LT's and cat delete and pretty damn loud at WOT. The 4040 w/o resonator would be louder still I'm sure. -
Hell of an offer, wish Houston wasn't 4 hours away, but I sure do appreciate it.
-
Maybe you could paint it without sanding it down, leave the texture and it would resible the finish on a tvs.... maybe in a matte black.
