FINALLY A TOPIC I KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT!!! I've co-owned my own lawn care and landscaping business for a while. We run nothing but Toro. It's expensive... but The only thing I've ever had to do is regular maintenance. I know your not mowing anywhere near the grass that I do every week- but Toro is reliable. I never have any downtime. It seems like I have everything Toro makes: Personal pace 20", Proline 36" walk behinds, 44", 50", 52", 60" Z-masters. The Zmasters are definitely more for the commercial side of things- but they do have a homeowner line that's cheaper. I don't have striping kits on mine- but they still stripe like crazy. If your only mowing a normal size lawn, youd prolly have luck with craftsman, they even have zero turn riders out by me. They look "cheap" to me though... mainly because all ours are commercial- 7guage steel decks and so forth. Let us know what you get!

I'm pretty much completely stock... all I get is 12.5 mpg. It doesn't matter how I drive it!!! I figured my mpg would drop to about 5 after the last zippy event I was at... but it stayed pretty much exactly the same. I've never driven the truck harder, or had such a hard time trying to keep up with everyone else than when i'm in Michigan!!! I'd love to have 20mpg... but that's not why I bought the truck.

A couple years ago Bob and I, along with my fiance, went golfing. That was a riot. I even have video of it. It was the first time I ever golfed!!! If bob chimes in on this he's gonna try and tell everyone that Christy (my fiance) was hitting the balls farther than I was. It might have had something to do with the clubs!!! Atleast that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I'll buy a set of my own this year. Bob: we still have to rematch anyways

Thanks! Honestly, the main reason she has such a good time, and the main reason we keep coming back is the awesome people you meet behind the wheel of the awesome trucks we drive. It's amazing to me how much fun you can have with people you barely know!!! Thanks again for everything you said. BTW, I'm not sure what christy's thinking... shes definitely getting the short end of the stick. Don't anybody tell her!!!!! I look forward to seeing everyone again at the next zippy, if not sooner at another GTG.

My family has a condo in FT Myers Florida... even that isn't good enough I shouldn't blame it all on her... I kinda want someting different and special too. You only do it once right? Well, I'm only doing it once anyways!!! Plus, I have to give her credit- she's a trooper when we come to the Zippy Event. She's usually the only female (other than Brians wife) there. And she never complains one bit. She's a keeper

I missed out last year. I definitely wanna make it this year. Might be tough though- It know it's usually mid to end July. I'm getting married on July 12. She wants to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon... go figure

I agree with Bob! There's like 3 other SSS trucks in my neighborhood. I've waived to every one of them and every time, all I get is some crazy stare. I'm not sure why, but it kinda makes me mad. Some people don't get it.

I really gotta stop driving my truck so much... I have an 03 SS with 38,5xx miles. Only problems so far: steering shaft (like 2 times already) Gauge cluster Within the last couple weeks the heated seats don't seem to wanna work. (from what I've read on here it's some 400.00 part) I'll tough it out the rest of the winter and think about fixing it next fall. Truck actually went out of warranty due to time, not mileage... I didn't pay attention, and like a dummy I missed the chance to put on an extended GM warranty.

I just wanna point out that in the other thread when I said my rear projection DLP was "built in the wall" this is NOT what I meant!!! These pics are hillarious.

I have both Blu Ray and HD DVD. I like them both. Honestly, I'm suprised one actually won over the other. I really thought with all the movies and options available they would both be out. Obviously when movie companies shifted towards Blu Ray, it didn't leave HD DVD with many options. Even selling the players for 1/4 of the cost of Blu Ray didn't make much difference. I paid 400 for my Blu Ray player, and got the HD DVD player for 120.00. Honestly, if anyone is in the market for just a decent upconvert dvd player for standard dvds I'd buy one of these while they last. I've had a couple unconvert dvd players, but none have upconverted picture as well as the Blu Ray and HD DVD player. Besides, you get 5 free HD DVD movies. What really sucks is deciding AFTER I bought the Blu Ray player that I wanted PS3 too!

I got my chairs from American TV. They are the "Showtime" collection from Coaster Co. I've seen them for sale online all over the place. Really nice recliners if anyone is in the market. Not to pricey either. I got mine brand new for $1100.00. The nice thing is, you can add as many as you want.
