  1. Ya I'm not to worried what it looks like. I could have built something custom to flush the amps in but I like to change gear often so that doesn't work when you build it to fit. The only person who sees it is me anyway. I was happy just to get all the dynamat covered with carpet. I'm thinking about x-types...not sure yet. My amp is got a fair bit of power at 1ohm. I was thinking about 10w6's like you have, I've built boxes before with them an they hit hard. But cost from my wholesaler is a fair bit more then i can get other descent subs for. I'd run hcca 10's if I had the money....big$$$
  2. If I was doing it over, i should have just built the ducts in the rear panel thats glued to the back of the cab, then they would all have been carpeted together. Maybe I rip it out and start over
  3. I built some ports using 3 inch abs and fiberglass. i made them screw into the ports that I built on the back of the cab and they just went down and then towards the middle of the seat. Then I wrapped them with some dynamat. It helped to reduce the road noise, so right now it's louder then hell. But i took them out last fall to cover them and they got wrecked before i got around to it. I'll probably get building some new ones here soon, maybe I'll cover them with bedliner... make life easy. I was just n the gmfullsize site a few days ago and guys where talking about how they blocked the ports off to quiet the noise, I told them 'better learn how to read lips now, in case an airbag goes off...' I'm kind of a ass sometimes.
  4. Now I want a roll bar....
  5. 4x6 No...its not a dodge...thank god. yes you can put amps behind the rear seat.
  6. No real point in taking pics, everything is pretty much hidden except the back of the cab. The only picture i have of it is without the fresh air vents. I took them out and they got smashed so I have to build new ones. I just relayed the power feed on the gas pedal off an aux on the starter so if someone steals my truck, I can track it on my phone app and then disconnect the pedal. I figured it would be better then killing the ignition, they aren't going to get far on idle.
  7. and TSB #070232001 -- REDUCED STEERING EFFORT (DIAGNOSE/REPLACE STEERING WHEEL POSITION SENSOR). *KB (NHTSA ID #10021450, MARCH 01 2007) i couldn't find the actual tsb
  8. Could it be a bad steering wheel speed sensor? Or pressure control valve? Document ID# 1653246 2002 GMC Yukon Lack of Steering Assist or Shudder During Parking Lot Type Maneuvers - keywords bind booster brake hard hydraulic low no noise oil power slow speed steer trailer #PIT3386A - (Apr 28, 2005) Lack of Steering Assist or Shudder During Parking Lot Type Maneuvers 2002-2005 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT 2002-2005 Chevrolet Avalanche 1999-2005 Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe 1999-2005 GMC Sierra, Savana, Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL 2003-2005 Hummer H2 The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI. Condition/Concern: Some customers may comment on a lack of steering assist or shudder during parking lot type maneuvers. Recommendation/Instructions: Please follow normal diagnostics in eSI for this condition. If the customer situation warrants a repair, replace the current pressure control valve with P/N 26095470, available from GMSPO. This valve will provide additional steering assist during parking lot type maneuvers. If this concern occurs when stopped or at very slow speeds with brakes applied, please reference PIT3310. Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
  9. 10. That cable looks like it should be long enough to work. Bolt it to the red box and the to the alternator. The the breaker is bypassed
  11. Where is the breaker wired to? it looks like its going to the fuseable link and then the other end is loose.
  12. Ya cobalts have a transponder key so they need a interface too.
  13. I want to buy one...NOW Make it!
  14. Its super easy. They could train monkeys to do it. Once your harness is preped, it`s like 7 wires inside the truck.
  15. I can`t do it, I can`t drive a pos when my beautiful SS is sitting there. The girlfriends crapalier gets like 40mpg but I don`t care, my truck is just too comfortable, powerful, shiny, etc.
  16. So everybody is getting screwed. At least the girl at the gas station said `Nice truck`, right before she said`how do yo want to pay`. So I was happy for about half a second.
  17. I don`t get it, we get so screwed. We have the largest oil reserves in the world, but pay more for gas. Well at least our dollar is worth more. Edit: I looked it up. Canada exports over 2 milion barrels per day to the U.S., more then double what saudi arabia and mexico each do. Why don`t we start setting oil prices.
  18. Do you have a meter to measure the resistors? The bands should be yellow, voilet, red and one other color
  19. Yes sir, $4.99 Can a gallon, which converts to $5.21 US per gallon.
