  1. An alarm with starter kill should keep most honest thieves away. The best protection IMO is a GPS tracking system. I run a compustar drone. Full GPS tracking though smartphone, instant txt alerts, about $100 a year for the service.
  2. What kind of pager alarm does the truck have?
  3. My buddy is running them in his escalade, but those fogs are different iirc. IMO they are too bright and give off alot of glare. I prefer led fogs myself. You can get matching color to your headlights, and not much glare.
  4. usually if it is the low side switch, the compressor wouldn't engage.
  5. I had the same issue with mine,a bad fan clutch. My AC Guy just grabs it with his bare hand and stopped it. He's braver then me. I had the dealer replace it under warranty, but it does the same thing again. I'm switching to electric fans and that should take care of that issue. Like I said, you need lots of airflow. Male sure you clean out the space between the Rad and condenser. The op has an 05, so he should have electric fans though.
  6. I was just thinking, maybe you want to bring it to me and we can try to fix it, I got some autobody tools like hammer and dollys.
  7. Your charge might be a little low. Also you need to check for dirt in between the condenser and rad. If you do have poor airflow, you can blow your seals out real fast. A trip to an ac shop for a quote might be in order, we check all that stuff.
  8. I would kick your "friend" And then give him the $620 quote for a new door panel. Know any body guys who could fix yours or make you a new one?
  9. I wouldn't have bought 12"s. They specs say they require min 1cu/ft per sub and that box is .70ft per side. There's not enough airspace under our seats to run 12"s. So your sound might be off. I'd just stuff as much dacron in that box as you can, that'll cheat it alittle and help a bit.
  10. We need those wire colors in those extra harnesses to try to trace the plugs. Also the length of the harnesses
  11. I just did this upgrade yesterday...defiantly worth the $10 it cost me(I had the sway bar mount bushing from an old energy suspension master kit that I didn't use, so I just had to buy the end links). There's less lean on corners and alot smother hitting potholes, it doesn't rattle any more.
  12. Easy, you just need a fuseholder and a length of wire, doesn't matter what size...16, 18 gauge, whatever. Remove the under dash bolster cover and locate the harness that runs overtop the brackets and to the back of the drivers junction panel(fusebox). Take a knife and testlight and probe the big brown wire in that harness and check it for power on accessory. Strip an inch of insulation of the wire with wire strippers and a knife, wrap the fuseholders wires arund it and soldier the wires together. Tape up the connection with electrical tape. Hook the wire to the other end of the fuseholder and soldier and tape. Run the wire with the rcas to the amp.
  13. With the pac oemgm24, it gives you proper outputs for subs, just have to plug it in behind the deck and run the rca's. Since you already have it, no need to hook up to the sub wires. This is your converter. I don't recommend using the remote turn-on wire that they give you on the gm24, it acts funny like turning on when you unlock/lock doors and such. Hook up a remote line from your accessory wire(big brown on the column harness) to the amp for remote turn-on. Then Power and ground on the amp, hook up the speakers wires out to your subs...done. That easy.
  14. Which pac adapter do you have? I would just run a remote line from the accessory wire to the amp(with a fuse of course) There's a grommet on the firewall that the gas pedal wiring goes through, pull out the insert, poke a hole, and run the power wire through there. there's room behind the radio, you just need to play with it.
  15. You can change the button colors on all pioneer double din screen decks.
  16. And whats with that trailer? The axles are narrower then the cars axles... what are they? 1000 pound axles with a 12" tire? Defiantly not made for car hauling.
  17. On a good note... at least we don't have rats. Alberta is one of the only rat-free places in the world. I saw a rat for the first time in vegas last year... Yuck, I much rather have the mice. I'd just thought I'd through that in.
  18. Ya I've heard that from a few guys that store cars that the bounce sheets work. I'm from the country(mice haven) also and I hate them fukin mice. They get in everywhere! I was pulling into to timmys today actually, and I thought about the 'mice-cap', stopped the truck just before the drive-thru entrance and drove across the street to the mcdonalds and got an iced coffee instead. I think i'm off the ice-caps for good.
