930 Turbos aside I bet you mean...? Pretty funny when a truck is out terrorizing cars- Chevys, Dodges, Fords, whatever. I like these kinda stories! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I havent seen a real 930 in a couple of years...did get my @ss whupped by a DP935 about a month ago

The flight to Australia was 14 hours. Took my kid with me, and we did first class on Qantas. We didnt have any problems sleeping or anything else. The cool thing was, as soon as the plane took off, they started to get everyone used to Aussie time, fed us about 2 hrs into the flight, then turned the lights way down. If you have trouble sleeping on planes, get you some of those Bose noise cancelling headphones...totally blocks out the airplane noise, even if you dont have them plugged into anything, just turn them on...very worth the money.

I have seen them, but dont really have any info. I also know someone who has a totally electric Toyota RAV-4.

Are there any projector style lights available for 03-up Chevy trucks?

I made the same kind of trip up into the Kern River canyon yesterday. The river is higher than I have ever seen it---really awesome.

We used to use naptha mothballs in the gas tank to raise octane, back in the good old days. Dont know if I would try that now or not...

On my 05, if I turn on the parking lights before turning on the key, once I get outside I will be running with DRL's and parking lights... So that is the story of how I use my DRL's as fog lights

I moved here from Alabama to get away from the racism...but you and I both know that the N.O.R. area are as bad now as Montgomery was in the 50's and 60's, as far as racism and hate crimes go. And they let it go on. You and your dad need to get you some top gun lawyers in LA and go for the balls on this one. I also know a couple of good local attys as well. I would also call the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, and see if you can build support. I havent had any problems with the Inalfa...you mentioned that ASC didnt seem to know what they were doing...dude-they were b i g in the aftermarket sunroof biz in the 80s and 90s, did a lot of supplying roofs to new cars... Mine was $1100 installed, no drips, no squeaks...it made me like the truck a lot better.

It would be less authentic as an SS if you changed it to an 06 because Arrival Blue went away at the end of 2004 year model.

I hope you dont sell your SS...but there are new 06 Tahoes all over the LA metro in the high 30 range---you just got to look for em. Just sit in that chair and refuse to leave til they give you the deal you want. Tell them that price they want is crazy. Take your original offer even lower. GM is hurting right now, so you can pretty much work a good deal with the dealer if you stick to a price and become a fixture in the office, and dont forget to tell them you want to buy _today_, if they can give you the right price. You can get into how they can never get that price for an OBS Tahoe, with the new one on the road, and gas doing what it is...play it poker style with them, and if they bs you, walk out the door. Something else to think about (if you dont have all day to sit there and argue price) you will usually get a better deal in the morning...I find if you can close a deal before 11am you should be able to get what you want at a decent price. And your salesman was right...newer AWD SS's are in high demand right now in the used car market.

Ive heard of people retrofitting Gen I Onstar, but Gen III would just be a major headache. If you want satelite tracking, get a LoJack...if you want nav/directions, just get a nice portable GPS...if you want your phone onboard, just use a bluetooth adapter...problem solved

I imagine it would cost well north of $3000 parts and labor to retrofit it, even if it is possible. What you might think about, if trading is out of the question, is find someone who _really_ knows what they are doing re: OnStar systems to help you, and try to get the setup out of a truck from a junkyard. I wouldnt count on success though it would be a cool project to try... Now that I think about it, its possible you would be replacing multiple wiring harnesses...and the 03 is wired differently than the 04, the 05 is wired differently from both of those...you see where this might become a huge mess?

Ive seen those 225 slant 6's run pretty fast with a 4-barrel intake. And dont forget the Aussies built a real Hemi head for a 265 slant 6 back in the 70's. They used three Weber 2-barrels if I remember my Down Under Mopar history...

In a way, every cup I buy makes me richer...stock split back in October If you dont like the guy or his products, dont buy em... The 450 calorie drink I get every day is like I said, usually my breakfast and lunch...compared to what ppl usually spend on those meals, Id say Im not really losing anything.
