Dang so many choices, now I am really confused.

I was wondering if anyone knows what is a good replacement tire for the SS besides the Goodyears I am in need of new tires and want something that looks good on there and do good in the winter.

You dont necessarily have to have an SS, anyone is invited. I will trying to be putting it together when I hear from the lady at the museum. Just keep putting the word out and I will let you know something when I know something.

No date has been set I will be talking to the Museum next week or so to see what they have open and then I have to get a hold of Beech Bend Raceway to see if they can accomodate us the same weekend. I want to have another one this yr we had a good time last yr.

If that is all the interest I have in it then I am not going to fool with it. I can't have an event for just 2 people.

I am in the process of trying to set up another gathering at the Corvette museum this year. I just wanted to invite everyone that can to try to attend. I will be getting with the museum in a couple of weeks. We had a good time last year hopefully we can have a bigger crowd this year. I will try to get the track at Beech Bend again also. Will keep you posted later. Thanks Jim

I had mine quit about 2 months ago, it cost me $430.00 to fix but be careful because i had to go 3 times the first time my odometer read over 100,000 miles I took it back and then i noticed they lost the total hours on my motor and now they say it cant be put back in so now my total hours on the motor are wrong and I dont remember what they were.

I think all of you are right. forget I said anything and I am going over my truck with a fine tooth comb and telling my insurance agent.

I just wanted to vent on what my put my poor truck through this last week. First I was backing out of a parking lot and hit a yellow concrete pole and scratched yellow paint all on my corner bumper. Thats not the worst 3 days later I was almost home sleepy as heck with my boys in the truck and ran off one side of the road got it back on just before a bad culvert which would have flipped us only to over correct and go off the other side of the road scraping against tree limbs. Well with the AWD it didnt take much to get out but I was scared to look when I got home. I had deep scratches on both sides of my truck, luckily only the cladding. So I take it to a shop I took it to last year after Lowes scratched my tailgate cap. The guy says it looks like you hit a deer trying to swerve to miss it I can see some hair on the truck. He says if I tell the insurance I hit it it would be under my comprehensive and only be $250.00. He said they would take pics and send them to my insurance co. I messed one wheel up pretty bad. I happened to show him some dents on my hood I had done laying on it trying to help AAA unlock my door one time and he says that looks like where the deer hit my truck. Now I am really not one for dishonesty I would rather pay the $500.00 but I may be wrong but if I can get it for $250.00 wouldnt you?

Does anyone have or know of anyone selling a blue front bumper, I hit a concrete pole yesterday and now it is yellow, I am going to see if it will buff out or paint over. If not I am going to turn into my insurance and try to replace. Talk about a bad day yesterday.

We had one last Nov in Bowling Green,Ky We toured the corvette plant, toured the corvette museum and Sunday we went to Beech Bend Raceway Park and had races of the quickest trucks. I am in the process of trying to put together another one hopefully late spring, early summer. We actually had a good turnout even Tim (Taws04SS) came in from florida. I just spoke with him today about one this year and possibly changing things around. Let me know your feed back, THe corvette museum was interested in maybe if we keep it going it could be one of their sponsored events. Thanks Jim Oh yeah Kim we missed you last year I knew you had wanted to come but something came up. Maybe this year

If I bought an 07 truck and had to turn it in to fix the motor would that be refurbished or new sir. They dont even give you a choice i found that out with the cell phone deal too many times

Mine also did this. With no warranty left went to dealership anyway. They said this is a known problem at GM and they would cover it up to 60K. But it would be a refurbished cluster / no charge.
I love the term refurbished they didnt even tell me that but thats what I always get with a cell phone exchange. (Always Refurbished) whats it take to fix something anymore an act of congress.

Well I took the truck in Friday and they said it would have to replace the whole cluster panel. Well guess what happened yesterday. I got pullled over I seen him coming and got out and showed him where I just had it in for that. MY speedo said 45 he said I was doing 73. Smart elec said I should have know the difference . I told him I knew it wasnt right but I didnt think I was running no 73. He told me to take the paperwork to court and try to get out of it I dont know if its worth all that. The whole cluster panel is like $485.00 and the ticket is like $130 something I cant win for losing.

figures just my luck right after my warranty ran out. My son told my wife i couldnt do 100 mph anymore it just stays on 30-40 mph. He is always telling on me.lol

My speedometer I noticed this week is jerking like it has tourettes syndrome at times. Then at other times I can be running about 50 and it says 30 mph. I guess this means this is my 1st trip to the dealership right after the warranty expires (figures). Any Ideas on a quick fix?

I was just wondering if there are many people who smoke in there trucks? I had always let my family smoke in my vehicles when I was younger even though I have never been a smoker myself.(cigs anyway shhh). Now that I dont let anyone smoke in my truck I can really tell the difference when I get into like my dad's truck or someone who does. I just never payed any attention to it when I was younger but now I cant stand it I would never buy a used vehicle that had been smoked in now for anything. Dont get me wrong I have nothing against it growing up with it all my life but I just personnally dont care for it.

Thats what I say Seems to be the one they represent with like the Hallmark ornament and the Hot Wheels SS. They also quit using blue which usually means will likely be a limited edition but I am just partial to blue what do I know?
