    Hey everyone, I was planning on everyone meeting at Cracker Barrel on saturday morning at 8:00. It is at exit 22 in Bowling Green off I-65 if you are coming from the south it will be a right turn if you are coming from the north it will be a left then a right turn you cant miss it. I hope this is ok unless anyone has another preference. I figured we can get to know one another there then have an SSS parade down I-65 to the museum. They are having a customer appreciation day that day, but I am hoping they are out of the way so we can park around the front circle (pictured on their site www.corvetttemuseum.com) other wise we are using the truck lot. We are to be there around 11:00 and will tour the museum at 1:00. Please let me know if this is ok. I will have my cell on if you need directions or have ?? (270)847-9590.     Ok everything is set for Nov3,4,and 5th I finished up the details today at the museum.They are only going to charge us $4.50 for the kids and of course $8.00 for us. This is going to give us access to the museum all weekend. As far as I know there are only 3 of us going friday to the plant tour if anyone else wants to let me know by next tuesday cost is $5.00 and kids have to be 7 and older. I have scheduled us to be at the museum saturday at 11:00. I thought we could all meet and like cracker barrel for breakfast and drive to the museum together. We will actually tour the museum at !:00 from then on its whatever for us. If you have any changes or cant make it or bring more people my deadline is tuesday the 24th. Remember now we set our clocks back 1 hr next weekend so I dont know if all of you are on slow time or not but we will be. Sunday we go to Beech Bend's Dragstrip at 11:00 they will give us two test runs then an elimination round. I havent figured up all the cost of the badges I will get that done I have to have the money there by friday the 3rd. If you want to send me money now thats fine or I can get it when you get here. I will pay for it till you get here. However anyone wants to do it. Hey Bad2theBoneBlackSS dont forget you are the camera man so make sure you get here early. any ?'s post them or pm me or call me (270)542-8876 cell (270)847-9590. Thanks everyone again and please try to come up with a name for the event. I may give the Intimidator truck to the best one or have a drawing one I dont know.

    What? no SS oh thats great! No Josh I remember you calling me and telling me you didnt. Thats ok I was a fan forever until I finally got one. Come on down.

    How is the track thing gona work?.....how much will it be so I know what to bring?

    He said we would have 2 practice rounds and them start having an elimination round of whoever is the fastest. Gates open at 11:00 and the cost is $15.00 per driver and $10.00 for spectators. Then the badges for the museum are $8.00 but I will pay for that and everyone can pay me back when they get here. Whoever is going to tour the plant that friday it is just $5.00.

    No I dont need the money now. It is $8.00 per person but thats why I am trying to make sure I get how many are coming with everyone so I can get them made this friday. I can get the money from everyone when you get here. Like I said in the other threads I will have them put your forum name on the badges unless you tell me otherwise . I know a couple wanted their own name on theirs so let me know this week. I am turning everything in Friday. So far we have 9 SSS coming, and I have put an ad in our daily newspaper for the ones here that are not on the forum. After we meet saturday we can just talk and see what happens next. I open for any suggestions we can take the dam tour also if everyone agrees. Please help keep thinking of a name for the event so we can possibly make it a success for next year( a little earlier and warmer).

    sounds great man thanks for all the effort!  so we have a cool event name?

    No I think I will leave that up to you guys I am not good with that and I have had enough on my mind trying to get this done. I have pm'd all the others coming so let see if anyone can come up with a good event name and maybe whichever we choose I may have a special gift or something. By the way this has been very hard on me and I was almost thinking of calling it off for lack of interest but like alot of people have said on this forum. There are a bunch of great guys that are willing to help out in anyway they can and I for one do see that here this is the first forum and the only one I have been on and I have learned so much in the past year and a half. Thanks guys for all your support it is truly appreciated.

    Well I put what the owner said we could do at the track but we are open to lots of opportunities B.G. is a big place I thought after the museum we may could get a bite go to the track and see what happens. If everyone is still here sunday we could still take the dam tour to the lake or whatever I just got it going you guys can have the fun.

    Ok everyone this is the last call for the meet on Nov. 4 at the Corvette Museum. I need to make sure I have the numbers right by tomorrow evening the latest. So far I have 7 yes and 1 maybe(SS Thunder). I think we will try to meet saturday at the museum around 10:00 a.m. I think that is when it opens but that is a good time for me if for everyone else. If anyone needs help with reservations there are a few hotels around the museum and more on down at exit 22 let me know. Directions to the museum are easy if you dont know its exit 28 off I-65 then turn left at the light you cant miss the big yellow tower with the red point on it. Let me know if any more ?'s

    Thanks guys I got most of them trying to put this corvette museum gathering together for the last month. If anyone is interested please read up on the corvette museum thread we only have like 8 trucks coming and I was hoping to see more so maybe they would let us do it in the spring or summer of next yr. Thanks for the support I have loved this forum since day one. I am the type to set back and read and not say to much but I am getting out of my shyness a little ha.

    Just to make sure I have Bad2theBoneBlackSS with 3 family members. ChevyMan23 (any others with you?) SS Thunder (a maybe) ssr-sss( I havent heard your definate answer or any others with you.) Popeye 55 (anyone with you?) gmc55 (anyone with you?) Bowtie 70 SS(with 2 boys) Hot Rod Truck (havent heard from you anyone else coming with you.) This is only 7 SSS to be there I was expecting more but maybe next year. Remember Monday is the deadline for me to get everyone in. I see that there is not enough interest on friday for the plant tour so I may have to end up taking that off the list unless I get more to come. Thanks Jim Look here my 100th post yahoo I actually getting to be someone. ha.

    808337_14.jpg Just a reminder I will need to know if anyone else is coming and how many family or friends are coming I have to have the exact count so I can pay for all the badges and everyone has to have one to have access the whole day. I am planning on having a drawing to give this Intimadatror SS away that saturday. I have told Beech Bend Raceway we will probably be there also saturday but have not heard back yet.

The box is a little messed up but that was the only one I could find.

    Count me in for Saturday...can't make it Friday have to work. Are people bringing their families? Just wondering cause I'm sure my little boys (3 and 5) would like the museum.

    Yes you can bring who you want but i have to know the exact number so I can have them badges made so they have access to the museum. I know my two boys are coming 8 and 5. Thanks Jim

    I dont know but I know Mervz told me he wanted lots of pics of the event. Is there anyone interested in taking and hosting them I am still not that good at it. I just got back from vacation today and time is ticking I need to know like now who is interested so I can get everything done. thanks Jim

     

    Hey Jim, I have a pretty good Digital Camera so I can take and host the pictures. :thumbs: I am also planning on getting down there on Friday for the Plant Tour! :ughdance:

    That's great. As of now I have the following saying they are coming let me know if you want off the list or added to. Sorry I dont know how to make the list down the page. BAD2THEBONEBLACKSS, Chevyman23, SS Thunder, ssr-sss, Popeye55, gmc55. Let me know if you are still on or want to be added before Oct 16. Then I will let everyone know what times to be here. Thanks again I hope we have a bigger turnout than this. I also need feedback as to when to go to Beech Bend I have to let them also sat or sun is fine I just need to know. Thanks Jim
