  1. I think you need to turn on the key (not to starting) and depress the gas pedal like 3 times.
  2. I emailed Corsa about a sport muffler only and received a reply that the muffler would be like $350.00. Contact them and see.
  3. I am a gun owner, and it could be a neat idea for ones who wished to do do, but this is a truck enthusiast forum. I just think that's what is should remain. I think any new section created should be toward promoting the performance, appearance, and popularity of the SS.
  4. Yes the paper template places the holes, I spent about an hour just looking at where I had the template taped in place---I was really apprehensive, but it worked great!
  5. I bought stainless steel bolts at Lowes to mount mine. Carl's brackets work very well. Biggest Issue I had was finally deciding to drill the holes after checking and rechecking and then rechecking again. Everything has worked out great with the mountings.
  6. Everything looks good except the wheels to me. But, if that's the look you want, then that's all that matters ----make it like you want it.
  7. I would allow the "good" friend the opportunity to travel around searching for brand new GM parts!! I would then be nice enough to let him get them all installed and painted at your body shop of choice.
  8. Went through Emory, TX yesterday, there is an Arrival Blue SS on a used car lot at the HWY 19 intersection if anyone is interested.
  9. Hood ---yes Front Bumper --not so much Taigate & Roll Pan --no SS emblems relocated -- no Truck stance -- yes Making it like you want it -- yes
  10. Very nice pictures and your truck is a beauty!
  11. There are pics in the gallery of my profile page.
  12. Ralph Nader is saying, "see I told you so."
  13. The stock Goodyears on mine seemed to be out of round the day I drove it away from the dealership, I was more noticeable on different types of road surfaces, They seemed to hydroplane easily as well. I replaced them at 20,000 miles even though the tread was still fairly good. I replaced them with stock size Pirelli Scorpion ATRs, The ride quality dramatically improved, and I have been very pleased compared with the Goodyears. I have not noticed any flat spotting, maybe due to where I'm located (NE TX). I like the tread pattern, and even put the white lettering outwards -----I know,I know, most here are blackwall fans, but I've always liked white lettering if the letter styling is good. Plus, I thought it gave some contrast to all the black. I have 8,000 miles on them so far, and have been very pleased.

    Stuck Cd

Can anyone tell me a simple way to get a CD out of my single disc factory stock player? The disc plays fine, but when I push the eject buttom it sounds as if the disc is spinning really fast, and then a message appears on the display, check CD, and the disc never starts to eject. I really do not want to have to take the deck out if possible. Thanks
  15. Welcome! ----- Ira Hayes area?
  16. Nope ,not what these trucks should be.
  17. By the way, if you have not attempted to take the stock spolier off, they are somewhat difficult to get off. Heat gun and fishing line might be helpful. I guess if you take the tailgate off and turn it upside down where you can spray adhesive removal along the bottom edges of the spoiler, that certainly might speed and ease the process.
  18. The ISS spoilers are bolted on, that's probably where you heard that. Once you get the stock spoiler off, there are holes for bolts on the outside of the tailgate.
  19. If you are talking about the stock tailgate spoiler, they are taped on. I'm not sure if that is what you are asking though.
  20. Ouch, that hurts ----- looks like the SS emblem on the tailgate is upside down too?
  21. I'm not much on blacked out wheels, but the red adds a very nice touch. I actually like it, gives just enough contrast.
  22. The SS concept has never been a total beast concept, except for the 70 LS 6 Chevelle IMO. Yes, performance has traditionally been its trademark, but also exterior and interior upgrades have been a big part of the image. It has been a great performance platform to take to whatever level the owner wants. I don't think it's valid to label these trucks as unworthy of the concept.
  23. Shades of the Aston Martin James Bond drove in the movie, Goldfinger, where the blades came out of the wheels to blow out the tires of the bad guys.
