That looks awesome chase. nice job by the shop out there.
I have to say it though, That going to be a PITFA to take the tranny out of. Maybe think about jet hot coating the system. that will make it last forever

hey thanks for the help. i have been keeping an eye on it and noticed nothing so far. and i am interested in the baer kit. but dont really know whats involved. im trying to do most of the work myself to save money. but im no dummy wen it comes to auto stuff so i should be able to handel it....
brakes are the easiest thing in the world. I could help you out step by step real quickly. Don't keep driving it if your still metal on metal. at least put some pads back there and pop the sliders out and clean and grease them.

03 had return fuel system and no egr valve and 512k computer. 04 and up had returnless fuel system and i believe an egr valve and 1M computer.(possible i need correction if not)

check the caliper slides. if the caliper piston was stuck it would wear out both pads, if it's just a slide, it will wear out the inside pad. Time for a baer upgrade

I wonder what the cost would be to get 03 return lines. I guess then you would flash pcm with 03 file to make it a return system?
Wouldn't need to flash with an 03 file, just would need to change the injector flow rate table to a static number.
I never understood where all these complaints about brakes were coming from... I never had any issue with how the SSS stoped... for its size and weight I thought it actually did damn well.In the braking department, the SS nearly pulled up the asphalt on its 60-0- mph emergency braking test, posting a 119-foot stop. The Dodge's binders were the most resistant to fade in repeated emergency-braking tests, but the best it could muster was a 132-foot stop from 60 mphComing right in the middle of the braking pack, the Harley F-150 ground to a halt in 129 feet.http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/pickup...pecs_price.html
Its obviously alot better than what the other guys get.
It stops good but it can always stop better. Same thing with going fast

that is awesome. I want one

wow this is old. I know there was a thread on this somewhere. I don't remember the numbers but 03 and 04 were listed in each color combo

i believe this was proven to be BS but i could be wrong.
ok dylan beat me to that post sorry.

steering angle inclination is probably off. if they try to set the alignment as it came from the factory, it won't be right caust you just changed the geometry of the steering by dropping the truck. get the alignment done right.

I wish we could figure something out for returnless systems. My intank 255 only puts my pressure around 56-54 and drops under full throttle
new fuel rails, lines, pumps, and sump in tank. make it return. you will have more fuel control. just harder to keep the fuel cold. also, somthing like the magnavolt like chase has will control the voltage so in theory, it should keep the pressure more constant when tuned right. This can be tough to tune properly, especially when you add boost to the equasion.

you guy's are funny. that f**ked up that you would get pulled over for 2 mph. you can bearly tell the difference on the speedo.

I'm thinking of selling the Flowmaster too! It's getting louder over time... plus it doesn't give any power...I lost 10 mph on the 1/4.
I am looking at Corsa now.
im calling BS on your statement...10mph? dude thats liek saying you lost 100hp. sorry you didnt lose 10mph. maybe 1 or 2 mph but not 10mph
I'm gonna call the same
on this one too. sounds like something else is going on. but your right that flowmaster is really just a sound, it dosn't make power like magnaflow or borla.
-
I'de shoot for the corsa. that sounds like a good choice for you. it would never wear out and keeps the truck quiet. It still sounds like a truck when you get on it but to someone who dosn't know any better, they would think it's factory.
congrat on you new truck too.

this is a common thing as far as i know. if you really pond on the brakes they will lock up. Stainless brake hoses seem to help. less expantion pressure.

I like the black with crome accents on the rim. looks sweet on the black truck. Even consider leaving a crom SS emblem on each of the spokes. Maybe not (bad mental picture.
-
wow, that alot of years.
-
thats some big bucks destroyed. that sucks man.

up grade the intank to a walbro 255 and aermotive a1000 on the frame rail with a digital FMU under hood. This combo is good to about 1500 HP. But I'll never need that.
If you are pushing more than 600 boosted hp then seriously consider implementing some type of sump system so you don't have cavitation issues. I have found that our trucks suffer from cavitation even NA at about 1/4 tank or lower. Just my opinion being to make sure the fuel system is over kill. lean conditions on boosed engines don't last long.
-
looks awesome man. congrats. I'm sure you don't need to be told to have fun with it!!
-
that is sweet. I wish i had 2wd.
wait, no i don't, i'de have to buy new tires every month $$$
-
gotta say, your alone on this one. but two tone can look good if its done the right way. I think all the ss colors would kind of look like a hot dog stand together. Just need to add yellow.

you can pull rpm signal from an injector pulse or even one of the coils. do you have two rpm leads on the window switch or just one?
is there any where behind the gauge cluster? id rahter get it from there. just one rpm switch.
your better off grabbing the signal where it goes to the computer. The ICP runs its own language. I'll check the wiring diagrams tommorow to let you know for sure. I get you some wire colors too.
-
what do you want for the motor, tranny and IPC.

brake pad question?

just comes with caliper, pad and rotors. while your in there it would be a good time to change the brake lines to stainless braided too. the hardest part is going to be bleeding the system. but that is no problem with 2 people.
