  1. TR55 are for NA applications. TR6 for FI or nitrous. Wires really won't make a difference unless you're having a problem with them. 4.8/5.3/6.0 should all be the same.
  2. I've had it about 7 months. I was thinking heads & cam + intake, or doing a big custom turbo setup and seeing how long the motor would last. Friend of mine said she would buy me a 408ci, but Ill believe that when I see it. My vote is for the turbo.
  3. My first loss on the juicy. Traveling up Cavecreek South bound I see a Roush Poopstang (black with gold stripes), working his way through traffic to pass me. When I switched lanes to follow him he punched it and got the jump. We raced from 55 to probably a good 130+, because my needle was buried past 120 for quiet some time. He only got me by about 1 car. I told myself I wouldn’t get emotional –gasp-... I guess it’s time for more mods.
  4. Just buy them and do it yourself <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The fronts take like all of an hour to do. 15 mins a side if you're good.
  5. Don't forget the CTS-V has a LS2 with a tremec 6 speed in them, their aftermarket is just the same as a GTO or Vette. I've seen a few with a radix on them, and even one with AFR heads and cam along with the radix.
  6. My apologies gang. It got the better of me. I began to have flashbacks of Vietnam when we invaded the beaches of Danang. The smell of the sea spray and gunpowder, round after round being expunged from the chamber. Each bullet with an unspoken name. Not a second would pass that debris wouldn’t mist my face like a winter’s rain. I envisioned him as Charlie, crying uncontrollably while drooling over his keyboard. Ah, who am I kidding, I just hate stupid questions.
  7. On the way home from the shop after getting some new rubber, I come across this guy in a new CTS-V with happy tags. It was pretty damn loud and appeared to have some sort of aftermarket polished exhaust on it. The guy taunted me for a good 10 miles, reving and flooring it, but I didn't bite. The unfortunate part of this was that I had removed the bottle when I took the truck in for service (so they don’t use my juicy juice), so the bottle was sitting in my passenger seat, full. After watching this dipshit taunt a Hemi 300C and a (believe it or not) CLS550 benz , I was forced to do the unbearable. . . Be the hand of God... okay, not really but it sounds so much more exciting that way. So yeah, that’s right, emergency bottle attachment, and represent the SSS community proper like. I mean, I couldn’t let him go on thinking we drive some slow tanks and won’t step up. Could I? Of course not. So once the road opened up to two lanes I pursued and let it be known it was game time. Once it was all clear he floored it and and I followed suit. I don't think he expected to see my big ass grill fly up in his rearview. I had to let off and brake or I would’ve gone through him. I then moved next to him in the left lane. At this point people are usually confused and wonder if I had some head start or something, since there's no way a big ass truck could ever possibly beat them. So he floored it again. It was no race. It was a slaughtering. Man, I thought his exhaust was loud but I'm sure he was deaf once I blew by him, since the corsa exits that side and mixed with nitrous it gets a tad loud. I walked him like a 16 year old into the woods… wait… never mind. So yeah, he wanted nothing to do with me after that. But strangely he follows me into my gated community. I figured he wanted to ask the typical "what the hell is in that thing", but I guess he lives right down the street. Which is fine, I hate my neighbors.
  8. I hope those headers give you better gas mileage. You're going to need it when you go looking for your balls.
  9. You should be shot for asking if long tubes would be quiet. And then saying “like the cheap ones are”. I replied with a post that made about as much sense as yours. Why even drive an SSS if you want it to sound like a Buick? Maybe you should paint it pink and put tassels on the mirrors. And thanks for the forum master comment, I really appreciate it. I feel that my work goes unappreciated, and that some praise is long over due. On a side note, does anyone know where I can find a subwoofer that doesn't hit so hard? I really hate bass.
  10. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw these headers installed on SS at 31 Flavors last night! I guess they're pretty loud. You should honestly look into a tornado intake and performance blinker fluid.
  11. Stockers flow something like 246-253. If left at 72cc and with the proper tune, one might see 50-70rwhp. I'm not sure. These are flowing more than a set of AFRs I believe, and the intake out flows a FAST. There's only one way to find out... Does anyone have the specs of a 6.2L that these come on?
  12. Isn't that a 2/4 drop? Or am I thinking of the wrong leafs.
  13. Will that work/look good with stock wheels and tires?
  14. I'm sure that's it, I only had 3.5lbs left in the bottle and no heater.
  15. After doing a search I found that the cheapest way to lower the truck is with these two parts. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...15&autoview=sku http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...15&autoview=sku Is this correct? Also, what kind of ride can I expect? I really want the best cornering possible that I can get... Not sure if the cheapest route is the best route. Why does no one make a complete kit for these?
  16. Wet Kit or Dry??? If you have a Wet kit, It would be what is causeing your A/F ratio to wack out when the bottle is looseing pressure and fuel solenoid is giving you full fuel.....Make sense?? Good Numbers down Low <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a wet kit. So you're saying that the nitrous pressure is no longer restricting the fuel so the fuel can actually fight the flow of nitrous? It makes sense. I need to get this bottle heater hooked up. I hate working in the AZ heat.
  17. No, that's where all the torque is though. I wish they would give me a computer file so I could post it. I'm not too good at explaining it.
  18. Here's my dyno results. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24911
  19. N/A: 305rwhp/340rwtq (@2100rpm) Nitrous: 430rwhp/583rwtq(@2700rpm) As the bottle lost pressure we noticed some inconsistency in the A/F ratio. Not just a change, but it going up and down through the dyno pull. Has anyone else seen this? I'm wondering if the pump was just getting tired or it's because the bottle was getting empty. Other than that it was rock solid. The help of the new plugs (and running on all 8 cylinders this time ) the power really came on quickly, and it stayed up where the other one dropped off. The dyno operator looked at me puzzled and asked me if I did something to the truck. New tires on the way, should help out with the balancing problems I have and maybe free up some horses too along with a better tune.
  20. www.xenonking.com, 12,000k kit, 385.00 or something like that.
  21. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures. I let a friend borrow my digi and haven’t gotten it back yet. As for the MAFS, I've seen worse setups, so I just left it where it was. Works fine. I’m heading to the dyno today at 4:30 to see what she does… Or doesn’t do. lol Oh and I live in Scottsdale. And I've been going to Dynocomp for my dyno needs.
  22. I had to order tires today . A few of mine were bald, and losing air . The only wheels I like for this truck are HREs, and I'm not about to drop 8k on the one's I want. SSS wheels are pretty cheap though man, just keep watching the BST section here, or even post and see if anyone wants to sell them cheap. What size are your currents? I'm looking for two 18"ers, maybe 4 to mount up some DR for the track... P.S. I'm off to the dyno today. Wish me luck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think some Chrome SSS wheels would look good on the truck, guy at Midway that I bought the truck from told me $1200 cash for the wheels with tires brand new take off's. Sounds like a decent deal. I got the 17" Polished Aluminums Good Luck!!! Finally got ahold of Nic and he gave me a qoute for the dyno.......now I just have to come up with the Caesha!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its been a week plus and I still haven't heard back from him. I think I'm just going to buy the software and learn it.
