  1. I'm about to order the Direct Hits Ignition system but I thought I read something once about having to reuse the stock metal heat shields. Is this correct? I don't want to burn up the wires. And I don't know if anyone is interested but I found this link http://www.directhits.com/Article.pdf They installed the system on a honda which already had NGK wires and it saw gains of 10fwhp in some areas. Not bad.
  2. What vehicle is this 4L70E in? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> '06 SSS.
  3. Just wondering where I should start. I have a cooler but that's it. I dropped zippy an email but got nothing in response. Anyone have any info?
  4. Not sure. I got it from http://www.autovelocityinc.com . All I know is its center is made out of magnesium. Id definitely rock a set, ugly or not. CF=
  5. I'm an aerospace machinist and in my world carbon fiber is about as cool as it gets. Especially since there are mass world wide shortages of carbon fiber. Ever see an nsx fully decked out in CF? It looks pimp. The ferarri f40, enzo, and McLaren bodies are all made of CF. It's not just about looks or speed, shaving weight gets you better gas mileage. And I don't need to explain how much of a bitch black is to maintain. You can't tell me you don't like the finish of CF. Id wear CF if it was socially acceptable...
  6. Like what fenders? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The whole frontend would be nice.
  7. Obviously no one makes them, so I'd like to have them custom made. It doesn't sound like something difficult to find, but a couple hours searching google has proven otherwise. Can anyone help me out here?
  8. Wiring my nitrous switch in the morning. Took a brief look at it moments ago and gave up. Can anyone advise where to look for a 12 volt switched source near the driver side?
  9. Holy misconceptions batman! 12,000k bulbs are not painted. . . If you want me to take a picture of them, I will gladly do it. They do make a 30,000K kit, which is UV. Output of a 8,000K kit and 12,000K kit are EXACTLY the same. Now, if you are referring to visible light, light that the human eye can actually detect, then yes, the 8,000K kit is more appropriate. The number is the temperature (also where you can find it on the color spectrum), it is how astronomers measure stars and their composition among other things. Being that the source of the light, its size, does not change, your output will not change. 14,000k is no where near UV light.
  10. 20 mins to install. No cutting or drilling. I got my kit from xenonking.com. Awesome support when I blew out my ballast. And best of all - made in the Stock Vs 12,000K HID
  11. Extremely bad spot to mount it. I did mine under the headlight after the ballast blew out due to heat. There is one stock screw/bolt behind the turn signal light that you can use, so no modifcation needed.
  12. Zaino suggests you wash it with Z-7, then clay it, Z-5 it, Z-6 spray, then Z-2, and spray Z-6 again. Also, to remove the wax use those mirco fiber clothes from the autostore.
  13. I'm looking to order some mats from www.usspeedonline.com but I wasn't sure about the color. What color is our interior? I did a search and there seemed to be some confusion as well as people buying mats that don't match their interiors.
  14. Do a search. I posted it some where with the link/part# for the gatorback belt.
