I was able to grab mine from a guy on here who was selling it because he sold the SSS. Picked it up for $130 shipped
, The 5 pc goes for 309 plus shipping on stylin I believe. The guy was really nice and great to deal with. -
My gauge cluster was broken when I bought my truck also. Luckily, they covered that for free but it only took a day and a half.

Well, got around to taking pics with the 5 piece on. I've gotten alot of compliments from everyone and they say it looks awesome. ANyways, I can still see some of the stock grille behind it so I might spray it sometime but its good for now. Now all I need is a new bowtie and itll be complete. Heres the pics

Well, I'll start it off. This is my specialty plate. Took a pic of it on my moms Caddy cause she was thinking of getting one also.

I bought this new from Best Buy about a year and a half ago. Its WMA,MP3,WAV and Ipod compatible with a single CD player behind the flip down faceplate. Its in great shape and the faceplate was always put in the case and taken out at night. With it I also purchased the ipod 5ft aux cable that ran to my glovebox and also charged the ipod. Included are the original box with instructions, Alpine 9852 faceplate, dash kit, faceplate holder and Ipod cable and aftermarket wiring harness for a 2000 silverado( can be changed). I paid $160 for the HU and another $30 for the accessories. I'm looking to get $135 for everything. Pics are below.

HAHAm my buddy told me after I brought mine home, Bro did you realize the body is all dented up...I said no..just another of GM's mistakes LOL. That bothers the shit outa me when people who dont know are like dude, your cladding is all dented. At the same time it also bothers me cause I'm so anal about my truck

Thanks for all your help guys. I have checked the prices on the parts I need..Harness- $100, Antenna adapter- $15 , harness for the steering wheel controls to work- $69.99, then the dash kit- $15. I paid $150 for the HU and the install was free then another $15 for the ipod hookup. I honestly cant see myself paying $200 for just the accessories then paying another $60 for the install(ballpark). I'm probably going to keep the stock HU and just get an ipod adapter to run off the cigarette lighter. Sucks I'm not going to be able to use my alpine so I guess I'm going to sell it. Also, if I remove my stock HU, I Will not be able to use XM radio (which I am looking into) Thanks again

So I have my old alpine HU sitting in my room from when I traded my 00. I wanted to put the hu with ipod hookup into the SS. I go to bestbuy and the guy says, umm well you cant run an aftermarket HU with the BOSE system unless you want us to bypass the speakers individually and that still might not work. Anyways, he told me to bypass the speakers, with the new harness and this and that it was gonna be like $350 or something, ( not including HU) . I'm not experienced in the audio world and this just didnt sound right. PLEASE tell me this isnt true.
The model # of my Alpine is 9852. I bought it 2years ago and its really a great HU but if it dosent work on the SS then I have no use for it. Please let me know what the deal is.

I've been looking at new floormats for the SS cause the previous owner trashed em so they were tossed. Anyways, I think if we get enough ppl to commit, we could get a better deal that like $130 for 2 front mats. Lloyds wants $110 for 2 front mats with Silverado SS on them with color, just wanted to see if anyone was interested, I know realtruck stated that he might be able to run some kind of deal on accessories and maybe I could run it by him and see what he says. Anyways, who wants in?

When we were in Fire Academy, one of our training chiefs was retired FDNY and another instructor was retired FDNY. They had MANY of stories and actually one of our training LT's was in NYC and went back to his station then went out with the truck. This guy was 60+ and beat to shit physically from the fire service after 30 years of doing his job that he loved. After 9/11 he started selling 9/11 memorial shirts out of his truck and gives back a percentage of his sales to FDNY memorial and FDNY supports.
On another note, I've been watching the news all day today and it reminds me of one of the resons I joined the fire service. Something that really chapped my ass today was when they interviewed some stupid unpatriotic psychologist who says that America may be taking the whole 9/11 rememberance too far! If I was within distance of anyone who even MENTIONED the slightest thing about this being TOO MUCH, you can bet there would be some punches thrown. I'm so sick of these people who do nothing for our country but live here under a blanket of protection offered by our American soldiers, Firefighters, Police Officers and other members then have the balls to say something like this.

I wanted to paint the billet grille black and see how that would look, either way if I leave the billet grille unpainted, I am still going to paint the stock grille so you dont see the stock grey. Just wondering if its a good idea and if it will start to chip or not.
