OK guys, as promised, here are the pics, if you notice, they even took the time to spray the parts where they welded the muffler and pipes.

I THINK IM DEAF!! They sound SOOO AWESOME. They really remind me of a high compression big cubic inch muscle car. I honestly think my truck is now louder than my dads 70 396 CI Nova.Got them installed today, dropped the truck off at 1:30 then they got the truck in the bay at about ten to 2 so the gf picks me up and we go 2 lunch, on our way to the resturant, phone rings and its the muffler shop. The lady says hey were all done. I was like damn they were in and out in like 30mins and did an awesome job. Seriously, it is so loud that it even bothers ME. I can live with it, I just hope that my neighbors dont pop my tires when I fire it up at 6:30 to go to work. I have to put the stereo up to about half volume to hear it now and I can barely hear my phone ring even on the loudest setting. OK im on my way out to go take pics, BTW they did a really good job and gave me my stock exhaust back. The only way for me to sum it up is to describe what my buddies V8 expedition sounded like when he unbolted the manifolds and ran off the block. I also noticed that I picked up power down low when stomping on it.

Ya, streats , that helped alot however, I found a local place that was VERY good pricing and very close to what the site you gave me had. Then I would have had to wait for them to ship. Thanks again for all your help. I'll post pics in a couple hrs

I'm getting my exhaust done tomorrow by a local shop. My setup is going to be (2) 3" offset inlet / 3" centered outlet true dual Super 44 Flowmasters dumped before the rear axle. I asked the guy the cost and he told my $270 .. I was like umm is this for everything? He said ya, buy the mufflers and the turndowns and the weldings free!! I was in shock seeing as how I paid 500 for my old setup on my 5.3 with 1 Flowmaster Super 40 with 3.5" tips . I think thats an awesome price and cant wait to hear it. I'll get pics up tomorrow after I get home.

HAHA I have seen this before on another site. I was laughing for about 10 mins after I had finished reading it. BTW, COURTESY FLUSH:
This is the act of flushing the toilet the instant
the poop hits the water. This reduces the amount of
air time the poop has to stink up the bathroom. This
can help you avoid being caught doing the WALK OF
SHAME.
No joke, this is seriously one of the best tips that I have used while enjoying my afternoon poop. Then again, if your in a firehouse, EVERYONE is an out of the closet pooper, however you must not let them catch you or else there will be ABSOLUTE embarrasment/jokes all day.
Quick story, we had a kid in Fire Academy who would always take a dump right after lunch and was late more than once for line up(HUGE NO NO) One day the LT asked where this kid was, I responded back with hes in the bathroom sir. The LT proceeds to grab a 5gal water cooler (ICE WATER) walk into the bathroom and call this kids name then dump the entire 5 gallons of ice water on him. He proceeds to leave and say dont be late for line up again and mop the bathroom when your done.

HAHA 28 grand, You MUST have been in your F1 car LOL. Anyways, good kill, I ran into one on the Turnpike one day and it was an older guy who tried 2 run me in traffic, I guess he got mad I didnt want to run ( First day having the truck) and just blew by me. Even if I was in the ideal setting, I really dont like getting embarrased. Maybe if I see one I'll run just to see how much he beats me by. Anyways, Good KILL

Hey guys, I had a billet grille on my 2000 and now I'm looking at one for my SSS. I came across the speed grilles but not sure how they would look on an SSS. I also am a big fan of the regular billet grille and wanted to see what they would look like. If you guys have aftermarket grilles on your SSS, please post a pic to help me make my decision. Thanks

No, I have never actually even left the state for any of my certs or training. I've taken some HAZ MAT classes and have heard of ELKO but never made it out. We run an Incident training conference and training center in Miami every 5 years I believe. I might have to look into that though.

HAHA, I remember when I turned 18, I didnt even smoke cigarettes but I went in and got a pack for my friend( already 20) just so I could show the guy my ID saying that I can legally buy these LOL. So what happens, he takes them rings me up and says have a good day, never checked the ID. Why couldnt this happen when I was 18 and trying to buy beer. Becoming 18 only means that you spend more $
BTW all those who made a donation to my paypal account, I never got the Email saying Payment Recieved LOL. Thanks for the happy birthdays guys
-
Well, Today is my birthday August 14th, I figured were all a family on SSS.com so I'm going to leave my paypal account open for all of you who want to contribute for my birthday LOL. Just kiding yall, but the girlfriend did say she wanted some ideas and I have her the site for oregon performance( Transgo HD2) and vette servo . I think my old man might even pick up the tab on the Flowmaster true duals when I get them done this weekend. So I'll keep you updated on the new mods after the birthday

BUMP!! PRICE IS AT $800 OBO

My advice would be to remove all the aftermarket parts before you sell it or trade it in. I traded in my 2000 Silverado couple weeks ago and removed intake, muffler, bowtie, full grille, toolbox, PCM and LS1 fans. If you were to keep them in there, you will not get your $ back out of those aftermarket parts by selling it or trading it in. If you do decide to go through with it, I would like pics of the intake, because I am interested. Pm me back with details if you can, Thanks, Justin
-
Wow, I have neve read that before LOL. I def dont want to have my PCM messing with the fuel deliverey, I watch the gas gauge move down enough as it is just by normal driving stock, wouldnt want to imagine it going down any faster LOL. Thanks for the heads up
-
Oh, sorry I cant be of any help to you on the PCM swap. On my 2000 and my 03, its a simple as I stated above. Do some searches on here, performancetrucks.net, gmfullsize.com and fullsizechevy.com and I'm sure there will be an answer to your questions. Good luck.
-
I came across a spare PCM for my truck. The problem is its from an 04, I need to know if it will fit my 03 because the one I will be purchasing would be the one I would send in to get retuned(W4M). So to all the tuners out there, can you have an 04 SSS PCM retuned to fit an 03 SSS?
-
They need to make stuff like this Firefighter proof like everything in the service. HAHA oh well, I got a lead on a K&N aircharger locally for a good deal and I'd still have $ left over if I bought it.
-
O.K. so I just sold my K&N FIPK off my 2000 5.3 last week to a guy on PT.net. So I'm at work browsing through a JEGS mag and come across the intake section. I look up #'s for my SS on K&N charts to see what fits. Come to find out that the FIPK I had on my 00 should fit my SS AHHHHHHHHH. On my 00 I had to snip the fan shroud for it to fit, and it occured to me that this is the same thing I would have to do on my SS. Just to be sure I'm a total moron, I double check the K&N site and see part numbers according to the year and engine size. For my 03 SS 6.0L the part # for the FIPK is 57-3023-1. For my 00 with the 5.3L the part # is 57-3021-1. The only difference is that I would have to cut the shroud a little bit like on my old Silvy. AHHH Just needed to rant because of my thought process. Now I have to either buy another one or make my own. If you guys can tell a difference in the part #, please let me know any differences. Or at least tell me that the old one is somehow not going to work just to make me feel better.

I have noticed that it is QUITE loud inside the cab. What suggestions can you give me to make the in cab sound a little quieter that is not too difficult or expensive. I dont really care for the tips out the back where the stock location is , but would the in cab resonance be improved if I were to run them in front of the rear wheel? Or is that also too close to the cab?
