  1. Noticed that I have a small orange puddle under the front of the truck over the weekend ...

Praying it's just kool-aid, I move the truck & get a closer look ... it's DexCool ... I have a small leak from (I believe) the weep hole, can't really tell for certain.

Has anyone replaced their water pump yet? Was it a project? How much is a new one? :dunno:

  2. Am I the only NON-SUPPORTING member wondering why only the SUPPORTING members are eligible to have their trucks' photos in the calendar? Was there a reason posted somewhere in this thread why NON-SUPPORTING member's photos were ineligible?

I think that I had nominated to buy 2 of these calendars back when the poll came out to see if it was feasible to make them. Makes me think twice now about buying if I don't have any chance at all at having my truck's pictures in the calendar. :shakehead:

  3. Nothing in writing = screwed imo, if the cousin holds the title and it was her name still on the loan i dont see how you can do a thing in court. It's a expensive lesson to learn but always document stuff like this, hand shake agreements never go well.

    :withstupid:

If the "agreement" that your g/f made with your cousin isn't in writing, signed by both of them, ... your g/f is pretty much screwed. Legally, your g/f had no obligation to make the payments, and the responsibility fell on your cousin. Courts don't care about any of that. If your cousin's name is on the lien, then it's gonna be your cousin's car. As far as Steve suggested, about getting a 2nd lien on the vehicle in her name ... the bank won't approve that w/o the permission of your cousin. Heck, if there's more than one name out for a title, they won't release that until both parties agree where it's going to be mailed if there's diff. addresses.

:withstupid: I see this type of stuff every time I watch Court shows like judge Judy. EX: Some couple is on the stands. Man made payments on girlfriends car. g/f's car is in her name. g/f ''said'' b/f can keep car when payed off. Car is payed off, she keeps it, b/f is screwed. If there isn't any paper work, the only thing she has to say is ''yeah he helped pay off my car, that's it''. If nothing is in paper and no agreements with signatures, dates, it's one persons word against another, which is nothing. In court the only thing that matters is what you can prove. For all the judge knows she helped pay for the car in the goodness of her heart and nothing more. For all the judge knows she can be attempting to scam a car she helped pay for, and there was no original agreement. Check stubs only prove she made payments towards the the car or owner of the car.

Imagine receiving checks from a random stranger for your exact monthly payment of your truck. A few years down the road the truck is payed off with these checks. This random person shows up demanding your truck that day it's payed off. You gonna give it up? Same situation your g/f is in.

Stuff like this is why I don't lend money to a damn person on this planet. Sure I'll give a buddy 20 bucks for gas if he needs to get to work and he's broke with the gas gauge on E, but what I'm trying to say is: what money I do lend out is always petty cash, because I never expect to be payed back.

    :withstupid:

I think your cousin knows that she got your g/f to pay for her 'Stang, and that was her plan from the beginning. Get someone else to pay for it, and then keep the car. Your cousin hasn't done anything wrong, legally ...

Sorry we couldn't be of much help ... it's a sticky situation you're in. I would just let it go, but start planning your revenge ... getting mad does no one any good, but getting even is FUN ...

  4. Interesting, I have never heard of Penta.

However, It is possible to get 0 ppm with a Reverse Osmosis/Deionizer system which I will be getting shortly, all I need to do is hook up the DI unit to the R.O unit. The water first passes through the R.O, then the D.I gives the water a final polish.

    I thought a D.I. was a "Dry Insertion" ... :jester:

You know ... when you go to the doctor for a prostate exam ... and out of nowhere he suddenly grabs your shoulders ...

  5. Nice  I love it, i'm not a big mustang guy but the 68 GT500 is one of my favorite cars of all time. There's a local customs shop putting one together now, it should be complete by the middle of the month.

you have great taste in cars, I hope someday i am as fortunate as you are and have a few layin around :)

    :withstupid:

    Awesome car, man!

  6. well all i used was a special harness from a guy on pt.net it allows the tb to open 100% compared to the 80 % it used to open with the 02 tac and harness. it is expensive but is worth it to open up all the way. but the tb is pretty expensive too.

Is this what was throwing your P1516 code? This special harness?

  7. I myself have been messing around with ribs. I prefer dry rubbed and I have been messing around with a few creations. I have found out that paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder are a must. And of course I add some other seasonings. Another tip for cooking ribs on the grill is to turn all of the burners on for pre-heating and then when your ready to put on the ribs, turn of the side that the ribs will be cooking on and keep the other side on so the ribs are getting indirect heat. This makes for a slow cooking time which ribs needs to become nice and tender.

Damn, that sounds good! I love to grill. My folks' taught me to cook chicken this way. Halve the chicken, garlic, poultry seasoning, and cook on the side that is off ... rotating every half hour on the side that is off until golden. Very juicy chicken. 1.5 hrs. until done.

grilled alligator steaks, marinated in tony chachres' butter garlic injectable marinade.

served with fresh asparagus sauteed in olive oil butter and garlic

    fried sweet potato french fries

ben and jerrys creme brulle ice cream for desert.

I would love to try that! I love asparagus ... I just tried shark steaks over the weekend for the first time ... very tasty! That sounds good ... damn, I'm hungry now!

My girlfriend & I just tried a nice marinade for steaks from NY. Soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, salt, etc. It is awesome!

  8. Your never going to get ride of it for $30,000 and with 75,000 miles. Should look around at similar SSS and see what they are going for.

    Um ... Well ... Consider this ...

There aren't any "similar SSS's" that I've seen that have ...

A full version Windows XP computer system on board, with custom fit install???

An OE level scan tool for 4 vehicle manufacturers included with the truck? (GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota)

PLUS ... has all of the major wear components already rebuilt? (Front diff., A/C, IPC, new-design intermediate shaft, etc.)

Great you contributed your opinion ... but please keep it to yourself, thanks.

  9. I was feeding the wiring harness of the fogs through the engine bay which was near the battery area and all I heard was a loud pop noise and I thought nothing of it....until my wrist felt like somone was pressing a soldering iron on it. I tried to pop open the clasp of the band (stainless swiss army) and discovered that there were little spotwelds where the band had welded itself together link by link..... the whole time I am frantically trying to pull the watch off as it is burning into my skin. I finally got the damn thing open after some serious panicked prying with a flat screwdriver, this ruining the band even more.

I looked at the situation later and figured that while I was reaching down to pull the harness up, I had rested my left arm on top of the battery and when I pulled the wiring up my pointer finger touched the power feed on the fusebox underhood...crossing the terminals and creating a circuit through the band of the watch. I am debating posting some pics of the aftermatch but they are pretty nasty to say the least.

    :nono:

Step 1 when doing electrical work: Disconnect the battery!

    :jester:

Sounds pretty bad dude ... hope it gets better soon.
