If you want to beat one, just look at my mods below and do it. Radix, intake, exhaust, and a decent tune. I can pull past one with no problems, and I even beat my buddies new C6 by 3 cars up to 100 the other night.

I would like to, but were going to the Hughes/Penn UFC fight tomorrow... gonna have a little tailgater before the fight.... I want to run the truck... but I cant miss this ! Plus, I still need to put in my 160 stat... i was getting 5-6* of KR for a while until I put some TR6 plugs in. Now I get 3-4... hopefully the stat will get it down to 1-2... then it will be ready to be worth racing and getting a timeslip. I will probably have longtubes on it soon, and maybe the GT2-3 cam.

So I am cruising back from Newport beach from a doc appointment, and getting off the 405 to head back to my house. I notice a NICE black Porsche Cayenne Turbo (didnt have the S though, just the turbo).. this thing looked sweet, had red calipers, clean paint, and sounded nice. A couple of older buisness men were driving it, and I noticed they were looking over into my truck and saying stuff... who knows. When the light turned green, they punched it... and took off.... I floored it as soon as I saw that (they were about 1 car ahead by that time) and I immedietly reeled them in, and blew their doors off.... no lie. I let off about 90mph and I was at least 7-8 truck lengths ahead. I looked in my rear view mirror as we were approaching the next light, and I could see the passenger making hand gestures and talking about how friggen fast I passed them hahah So at the next light, I didnt think they would want to go again, and what do you know.. they hit it again!! I let them get about 5 cars ahead, then I punched it, and caught them quickly and put another few lengths on them. At the next light, the guy rolled down his window and asked what is 'in that thing'. I responded "Just a K&N air filter" He kinda laughed like he knew I was BSing, and he said "Not bad, but you must have all those extra gauges for a reason!" and I just laughed, and told him his ride was sweet and asked if that was the 450hp version. He said ya, but its REALLY heavy... so I told him my truck weighs over 5300lbs, not a big difference. I then asked to do one more race on green, so that we start off even again... he agreed. I brake torq'd it to 2000....light turned green... and I was GONE. You should have seen his face when I launched.. it was an 'OH SHIT' look (even though I only saw his face for a split second ) and I put 10 cars on him no problem by 75-80... I slowed down, and he made a right turn and gave me a thumbs up.... really cool guys... especially for being 45+ years old !!

FYI -- I just changed my dual 3" exhaust w/ Flowmaster 40's to a Magnaflow DI/DO 3" muffler (with x-pipe built in) and I can notice a BIG difference. Part throttle and low end torque are wayy better... and it pulls harder up top. I think it sounds better... quieter, but deeper... not loud and ratty... the Magnaflow is much better! I threw those POS Flowmasters out as soon as I got home. Before I couldnt spin my tires from launching (2000rpm brake stall) now I can break them loose no problem!!

Arent the Mercedes made by the same people who make Dodges.... Enough said.

I personally dont think GM has "Performance" options for a lot of their vehicles on their mind right now. They are trying to boost sales of their higher selling cars.... thats why they just came out with the 5yr/100K (or was it 7yr, i dont remember) warranty. Dodge/Chrysler are going all out with their SRT and HEMI models, and GM is concentrating on other stuff. They probably figure that if people want a performance GM product, they will just buy the Corvette/GTO/CTS-V/TBSS and thats that.

Too bad you dont know who it is. About 5 yrs ago, one of my buddies friends keyed my truck because of some bullshit that happened when we were out in Huntington beach. Long story short, we found him, beat his ass, and basically totalled his car. And I spent a couple of nights in jail. Ahhh.. .the good ol days

I would recommend a Finish Line transmission stage 5 4L65E.... FLT Level 5 65E If you were in California, I would recommend the Toy Shop... they built a few of our trannies and they are holding up well! But if you decide to get it built by a local guy, make sure to use a vette servo, metal accumulator piston, and a shift kit at minimum!!!

haha, yeah... $35K for that piece of crap? You can buy a brand new 2006 SS for probably LESS than that with the new GM 5yr/100K warranty. I one time saw a crew cab duramax I was interested in buying, and they didnt list a price. I went down there and they wanted $45K for a 2004 Duramax CC with 26,000 miles on it. It had a 7" suspension 3" bodylift and some chewed up Toyo 37" tires. That was the only mods done to it. I asked one of there little price salesmen why it was so expensive, they said it was because it was 'extensively modified with the best aftermarket parts'. It looked like SHIT. I laughed at the guy and told him that every car on their lot is going for 10K over what they should be selling for, and that they are complete rip offs and I cant believe they are still in business. His 'partner' comes up to us, and tells us how Jstar motors in the BEST car dealership around, and only 'World class' installers modify their 'show vehicles' and thats why they get to charge that much for what they sale. JStar is a ****in JOKE... I wont also forget a guy that worked there named Tony tried to tell me and my buddy that he trained Karate and that he could beat any MMA/BJJ (brazillian jiu-jitsu) practioners ass no problem, and BJJ is inferior to Karate.. HAHHA. (me and my buddy that was there train Muay thai/BJJ so he started talking shit) F*ckin KNOW it alls there... I would have loved to choke out that SOB. Anyways... about that overpriced SS....

I just listened to that MP3 right now... seems the only stuff that sounds similar to Louis CK's is some of his worst material he uses. I bet if we put any comic under the microscope as much as Dane, we could find some material that can be compared to other comics stuff. You also have to remember, Dane has been using some of his material for almost 15-16 years... maybe Louis CK saw Dane at one of his shows in the past and is using HIS material?

Hopefully I can make it out there that day!!! I will let you know... I want to get an official time on this thing before I put on the Long tubes/GT2-3 cam/90mm TB and Jtube/etc to see if the other mods are going to make a difference.

I personally think Dane is hilarious... but its only because we have the same sense of humor I guess. Plus, he is one of the nicest and most kick back guys I have ever met. He hasnt let fame get to his head, and doesnt act like hes all bad ass when he is off stage... just a regular guy. Even if he has used some material from other comics.... big deal. Almost every comic has used material from other sources, whether it be from another comic or a movie or whatever. Dane has come along way, and now that he is big time people scrutinize him and put him under the microscope a lot more now, and are wayyy too overcritical.

thanks zippy Lets not all forget here that the SRT-10 gets something like 9-10MPG at best.... and I just average 15.5mpg on this last tank !!! Im not being a 'hater' ... but I admit, Id rather drive a Ford than a Dodge any day... but it feels nice ruining a truck that is marketed as 'The worlds fastest production truck' and all the happy shit. Pretty sad Dodge had to throw an 8.3L Viper motor in a full size truck to even hit low-14's. I bet the race would be called 'Even' if my truck DIDNT have the blower, and I just would have slapped some Long tubes and a cam on there. Now, if Chevy just would throw the 7.0L LS7 motor in a truck, I dont think any Dodge product would be able to compare!
