  1. Thanks for the info man. Anyoen know the size of the fittings I need for the boost gauge connection to the Radix? (and possibly any pics?) thanks.
  2. Where is a good place to install the nylon boost/vac tube to an Autometer Phantom boost gauge without needing extra fittings, on the Radix? I searched the board and found there is a nipple somewhere on the supercharger itself, but cannot find it. The gauge came with a 'T', so it could tap into an existing vacuum line.... where can I find one? Also, I have an electric fuel pressure gauge. I am pretty sure the +12v will need to be hooked up to a power source that is not shut off/back on when the engine is cranked. Which wire do you guys use ??? Thanks!
  3. Looks like it made peak TQ at 3900 and peak HP at 5700 to me? Good numbers though! I need to get some pacesetters!
  4. Maybe its a good thing the motor stops at that speed anyways... I dont think running it that hard for so long will let that motor last very long anyways. I am sure if you raced someone until 130 or so that would be fast enough to call a winner at that point??
  5. Yeah I could have sworn when I rode in it, it was shifting at 6000+ on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift... I am thinking I am going to set my shift points to no more than 6k on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. If your shift points are at 5800 and 5700, why do they go to 6100 ?
  6. Their website says that they will buy the intake back if you dont get the results they claim?? I wonder if anyone has tried this thing and have seen actual results... heres a quote from their website: "We guarantee that you will see at least a 1/2-to a full second drop off of your 0-60 MPH times over factory stock no matter which GM truck or SUV you have or VR will buy the system back, but we are going even further, We guarantee that you will gain at least a full ? second ?OVER ANY OTHER? after market air induction system or we will buy the unit back. Those claims are just total BS...I have never seen an intake make that much of an improvement without some type of tuning and/or other upgrades. Any people on this site try this intake yet? (not that I really care because I am FI now, but still.. I hate companies who claim BS information to sell a product)
  7. I am wondering what most of you guys (preferrably Radix people) are shifting at in your SS. I currently have my 1-2 shift set at 5900 or so, 2-3 at 5600, and who knows where the 3-4 is because I never really have gotten it there. I have only been WOT a dozen or so times since my Radix install anyways, but thats what I have noticed. I am just trying to see if people have set there shiftpoints to 6000+ rpms and saw any type of benefit? I think I want to move my 1-2 and 2-3 shiftpoints to 6000 rpms to it will drop me up higher in the RPM range.. it feels like its losing momentum shifting that low. So lets hear it.. what RPMs are your trucks shifting at WOT? Rev limiter is set to... ?
  8. Just ordered an Autometer triple gauge pod w/ Phantom boost, Phantom electronic Fuel pressure, and an Aeroforce scangauge with the custom SS startup logo I will take pics when they are all hooked up!
  9. Maybe I am missing something here.. but how the hell does that Veraram thing hook up to the motor???? Also, I was looking on their website... they have dyno charts showing a 30 HP increase after just an intake, and promise a reduction of 1 second in 0-60 runs... I smell BS.. !!!

  11. I have watched every episode of that show ince the beginning. In fact, its the ONLY show I have ever watched each episode... too much crap on TV. I didnt even watch anything other than Rockstar:supernova until this show came back on. Anyways, the FBI dude figuring out his tats was BS. How did they find his tattoo artist? How did he pick up on that shit? Especially how he figured to go to a graveyard... that was complete crap. I just hope the show doesnt fall apart now that its in season 2 because the producers and writers werent even sure it was going to make it for anything past the actual prison break. who knows...

Nothing would be more intimidating then showing how much HP you are running... 500HP SS 600HP SS (whatever amount of HP you will be pushing) I am sure that would instigate plenty of races too I know if I rolled up on any truck with plates bragging like that, I would want to take a shot at it in no time.... Best plate I saw was an Evo MR that read 'TRYMEV8' and a license plate frame that said "2.0 Liter Corvette Eater". And he was not bullshittin either, I saw that thing launch, and let me tell you... it was f'in FAST.
  13. That guy must have felt like a douchebag after messing with you for all that time, then getting his ass handed to him by a truck.... Its funny, the only time I have seen a CTS-V driving next to me was some kid 18-19 yrs old, and he kept flooring it and riding out the gears so it sounded cooler on every stoplight. Then he made a right turn and gunned it, and almost spun a 360 ... must have had his traction control off... but looked like a f'in moron. Good kill nevertheless... I read on some other site that a dude with an LS2 TBSS had a 100 shot hooked up, and some old guy in a CTS-V spanked him from 70mph-110+ (i think) and the TBSS was even spraying! So that guy must have been modded to be able to do that. I wonder how a Radix'd SS would do against a V?
  14. Yeah I dont have HPTuners, but the guy doing my tuning knows his sh!t. We are going to dial in the problem next time I go see him. I decided to take a video clip using my cell phone, and I can show you what I am talking about. Its REALLY noticable once I watched the video clip back... once my truck hits 3rd gear, it feels like the torque converter locks up and bogs down.   15. Should you leave the stock bumpstops in the front, or take them out ? Or will that mess up the control arms if you bottom out?
  16. Haha, I know what you are saying. But now that I am used to the power, now I am trying to squeeze any little bit more out of it I can.. lol. I am already planning on some long tubes and a GT2-3 cam ... and ditching the crappy flowmaster exhaust! After that is all done.. I will probably want more!!! I knew supercharging it wouldnt keep me happy for long.. and this is going to be a never ending project!
  17. Chase, so you have it set so it doesnt lockup when WOT ? I want it to lock up in 4th when cruising, but I dont want it to lock until I hit 4th when WOT. It feels like its going into o/d when in 3rd and floored..
  18. Whenever I am WOT in 3rd gear around 80-90 mph, at about 4500 rpms or so, the torque converter locks up and the RPM's drop to about 4100 and they start climbing from there. It feels like an upshift... and it feels like the truck just stops pulling as hard at that point. My question is... should I have my tuner adjust this so it wont lock up at that point? Is it safe to remove that lock up point and have it lock up in 4th or something? I know this is slowing me down in the top end...
  19. Maybe the rims are just a lot heavier... hmm. If torque management is not completely deleted from the PCM, would that cause it to lower the power (retard timing?) off the line, preventing wheelspin?
  20. hahah I was thinking 3rd gear for some reason... yeah there must be a speed limiter set at 140 or so. .... why the hell are you going 140+ in a 5300lb truck anyways???
  21. Sounds like you hit your speed limiter around 105-108 or so... happened to me too... I need to get it removed ASAP .. lol. It threw me off too, because it doesnt misfire like a normal speed governor, it just closes the throttle plate or something...
  22. I am wondering if the Toyo Proxes hook up really good.... that might be the reason. If you cant break 20's loose, and I have 22's... that makes sense. I dont care about lighting them up anyways, its better that it doesnt (less noise to attract cops) but I guess I assume its not making as much power as other guys if it doesnt have the power to spin em off the line. Maybe its only guys with 3000+ stall's that can do it? My Yank 2600 stalls to 3000... but the 3000 stall guys can flash to 3400 I am assuming.... enough to spin the tires off the line pretty good possibly
  23. Yeah I am AWD. As far as my tune goes, its pretty dialed in. The guy who tuned it used a wideband and has the timing at around 17-18* WOT with no knock. That is pretty good, and is about what most Radix guys use with the smaller pulleys. Maybe I have some TQ management in my ECU still? I dont know...
  24. I am wondering whats up here. I have my Radix installed with a 3" pulley making around 7.5PSI of boost. When I punch it (or brake stall) off the line, I dont even get a CHIRP of the tires. Going around a corner WOT barely squeeks the tires. Keep in mind I have 22" rims and 305/45/22 Toyo Proxes. I rode in Chase's Vortech powered truck, and that thing broke loose no problem off the line and around a corner. I would expect a roots blower that provides full boost off idle to do the same... if not more? But I cant event get a squeek. I also have a Yank TT2600 stall that flashes to 3000-3100rpms also... doesnt make sense Is this normal with you other Radix guys?
