  1. That accent started to grow on me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lol you need to come over to this side of the country she lives in neck of the woods where i grew up and lived untill a couple of years ago in virginia. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> sounds like someone is a stalker... haaha jk
  2. Thats weird.. my buddies bone stock Magnum R/T beat me... we were even until about 60 and he started pullin away... 1 car by 80 when we stopped, and it seemed he could keep goin. BUT I did have a stock PCM in it at the time... but I have outlaw cai/headers/exhaust/shift kit/3000 stall (at the time) and u are bone stock.. u must have a quick SS from the factory
  3. Seriously, this guy needs to have his face broken. No lie.. if this was me, I would have been at that shop after I heard about him selling my stuff throwing some hard muay thai knee and elbow strikes into his grill. This guy is a piece of crap and needs to rip off the wrong guy so he can 're-arrange' his ways... and jaw.
  4. Good job guys!!! nice runs.... Chase, I knew your truck would run 12's after riding in it the other day... that thing hauls some major a$$ dude.... Id say throw a 75 shot in there, and call it a day....

    VHO vs Titan

That kicks some serious ass... you smoked him, and took his cash. The right way to do it.. good job I have never went up against a Titan.. when the truck is running I have tried to get a few to run, but I havent had any luck. My buddies friend just traded his F150 for a Titan and was bragging a couple of weeks ago about how fast it is... I told him I would love to run it in my SS... he said lets go... and I said its broken and in the shop...and he said it figures, its a chevy. Yeah, I kinda felt like an ass. I will get a chance to run a Titan soon.. I just hope my truck doesnt break down while im at it .. jk
  6. haha.. yeah, the almost exact same truck with a much smaller motor and less HP will not be able to hang with an SS... comeon honestly, i think the guy is kidding
  7. Yeah, it fits no problem. The box is only like 1/2" away from sitting all the way back, so when the seat is down, the seat still hangs over the box about 3/4". It fits nicely.
  8. Here's a pic of my subs. Seat has been raised an inch or so. These are the new Kicker CompVX 10" subs.. same subs as the L7's, but they are round. Hooked up to a JBL 1200.1, giving them both over 1200w RMS. They hit hard enough to make you natious.. I dont know why you would need more! The body panels rattle when turned up half way.. unless you want to go deaf, just go with these babies.
  9. Speaking of Eagle 026's ... heres a pic of mine. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.
  10. Drako- thanks for the encouraging words buddy. I know I will kick this things a$$ and it will all be over and done with in the next few months. Its crazy how one day everything is cruising along nicely, and the next day your doc tells you the knee pain you have had for years is a rare cancer (synovial sarcoma) and that you have a 50% chance of survival in the next 2 years. Thats pretty good chances if you ask me man, so this will be no problem at all. Dylan- As far as the truck goes... I know you never knew there was a problem. Its my luck man... this happens to me a lot.. unfortunatly. 3 yrs ago I bought my Honda CR250 for $3200, and on the first ride, the entire motor granaded and had to spend $1600 to rebuild the motor.. good thing I know what I am doing with a 2stroke motor, so it was just the cost of parts. Last year, I had my brother in law buy a 97 CR250 from a friend, and the same day on a test run in the neighborhood.. the motor blew. I can go on and on.. but the point is, I have had nothing but bad luck buying used... its a risk when you buy a used vehicle, its not like you tore down the tranny before and could predict when it was going to blow up. It happens man. Its a badass truck, and I am glad to have it... I just cant wait until its done and one day I can put a supercharger on it like what my plans were.. but now because of my health and this tranny, who knows when I will be able to do that All I know is that I am glad its in the hands of the guys at the Toy Shop, because I have full confidence when they are done with it, this will be the end of all the crap for good. I have talked to Kendal so much during all this, and he has always gone that extra mile for me and truly knows what he is talking about... more than any other auto repair shop I have ever dealt with. Kris
  11. Dude, I have had nothing but problems with the SS unfortunatly. Only put 3500 miles on the odometer, and around 3000 of them the 1-2 shift (not under WOT) blew the 3-4 clutch pack, input shaft, and split the cases. Truck was shifting wayyy too hard. Got the tranny rebuilt right after that through Kendall @ the Toy Shops recommendation of a Chevy dealer through warranty (Rancho Valley Chevy)... left all the parts that were good in it that you had installed (servos, shift kit, TQ converter, etc). 300 miles after I got the truck, the Trailblazer torque converter blew up taking the pump with it on the 57 freeway... Kendall @ toy shop had me send it back to Rancho Valley Chevy to fix it again. They installed an OEM converter and pump, and looked over the entire tranny again. 5 miles after picking it up, and 20 minutes later... the entire tranny granaded.. blowing up the output shaft and destroying everything in the tranny. Keep in mind Rancho Valley Chevy gave me a 1yr/12k mile warranty when the rebuilt it the first time. Now 2 trannies later in 1 month, Rancho Valley doesnt want to honor the warranty they gave me, saying I voided the warranty with 22's and bolt on performance parts. So I just had Kendall @ the Toy Shop do a COMPLETE overhaul (unlike the patch job you had done according to Kendall) to fix this tranny. Every part is new, and Kendall is hooking me up big time. He really is a cool guy... and helping me out a lot. I am just hoping I can work something out with the Chevy dealer with helping to pay for this ... because I think it is their fault the tranny blew up twice in just 350 miles. This comes at a bad time, because I was recently diagnosed with Cancer, and have to drive to LA every other week for 7 days at a time for Chemo treatments, and had to go on disability. I am broke, and the SS seems to have nothing but problems in the little time I have had it. 3500 miles and a new water pump, brakes, electrical short in the AC, and now 3 tranny rebuilds. I love the truck, but I made a bad decision by buying it I think. The truck is now just waiting for my Yank TT2600 stall converter to arrive, so they can drop my new tranny in it.. hopefully that wont blow up, but since this would be the first time Toy Shop has completely rebuilt the tranny, it should hold up this time. Other than that, I can recommend Toy Shop.. Kendall is a kick ass guy... and very nice and helpful. He did a great job on my buddies corvette, and even fixed his fog light and replaced his burned out blinker for the hell of it... cool guy.. honestly. Kris
  12. Sounds good guys, .... but the highest I could go would be $3500.... any takers? Thanks!
  13. Is this any good? Will it work on our trucks? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WHIPPLE-SUP...1QQcmdZViewItem
  14. Also looking for a Procharger or Vortech for around the same price .... thx
  15. I am looking for a used Radix for a good price. Something around the $3500 price range if possible. Let me know, thanks.
  16. I vote the 2 10's I have 2 of the new Kicker CompVX's (Same as the L7's, but round) and I am feeding them with a JBL 1200.1 amp (600RMS to each) in a sealed box... and it pounds! I have the same problem as the guy who posted above me.. the roof rattles like crazy when it hits. Not to mention I had to turn them down because i was starting to feel nautious after a few minutes of listening to them.

    r/t charger

If you had a higher stall torque converter, you would get him off the line.. but I think you would be even until about 50-60 and it would just kill you... those things are fast!
  18. I see at least one a day.. in fact I just saw one on the way back from lunch. They are ok. Id rather get a new Shelby mustang. Plus, a chick that works for a customer of mine used to work at Saleen in the warranty dept. She said there are pieces of crap, and they had to replace so many defective parts it was ridiculous. People coming in and complaining left and right.... even on the S7's! She said Tom Cruise even came in b!tching about his trim on his ceiling kept coming off... then tried to convert everyone to Scientology! (jk on that one ) I would have tried to race the Saleen I saw today in the wifes 350z... because my truck is still in a shop with Dylans broken-a$$ transmission (because someone got trigger happy on the tranny settings) Not pointing any fingers!! haha I get it back today though, so im happy.
  19. Thanks for the quick replies!!! I looked through the How-To section, but I must be blind.... I didnt see it!
  20. This may sound stupid, but I searched for it and could not come up with anything. I am going to be sending in my PCM for Zippy to tune, and I want to know where the PCM is, and the easiest/quickest way to remove it. Any help? Thanks!! Kris
  21. I think he needs to sue the manufacturer of his KEYBOARD because it appears his Caps lock is broken! And while hes at it, maybe sue his elementary school teachers for not teaching him proper grammar and spelling!
  22. I did ask them why it was set so high. They said when the build transmissions and install shift kits, they always set the line pressures/shift firmness a certain way before it leaves the shop. He said when he first drove it, he almost sh!t his pants on how hard it shifted, and there would be no way they would leave a truck like that shifting that hard. He blames the the tuning in the computer, saying the computer is increasing the line pressure when the shift kit is doign the same, and said it was probably done after it left their shop. Either way, its getting rebuilt. I knew the 1-2 shift felt a little TOO neck snapping ... it was more like transmission case and input shaft snapping firm shifts
  23. Well.. just got off the phone with the tranny guys. It seems the 1-2 shift was set wayyyy too high in the computer, and combined with the shift kit, cracked the tranny cases and blew up the input shaft, along with other crap. $2000 in damage. This goes to show ... DO NOT set the computer shift firmness too high if you have a shiftkit... hard shifts=broken parts. They are going to re-flash the computer to stock, and put the TQ management back in and let the shift kit do its work. Will I have to program the computer again because they are leaving the TB 3000 stall in? 3200 miles since buying the truck and I have had to replace the water pump, brakes, and now the tranny... Dylan you made out at the right time man (i know your readin this ) Well, at least they are keeping all the upgraded parts in the tranny and giving me a 1yr/12k mile warranty. Anyone in the Socal area that can help me re-program the truck's shiftpoints and crap? Thanks!!!
  24. Well because basically Kendall at the Toy shop (really cool guy BTW) said that whatever went wrong with the tranny before when they fixed it, probably had something to do with whatever went wrong with the tranny now. Kendall said he drove it, that the shifts were set WAYY too hard, and that the line pressure for the shift kit and the programming of the truck were jacking the shifts up too much, and could have possibly broken the output shaft at anytime. He said hes surprised the 1-2 shift didnt break anything yet. Since the tranny was only repaired last time, they said they would need to overhaul the entire thing this time to make sure it doesnt happen again. To be honest, theres no way in hell I am dropping $2200-2300 for an overhaul right now. So Kendall is hooking me up with a guy he knows to get the tranny replaced on the GM warranty, and I can have them throw in a shift kit and re-use the converter (if possible) because they said that might be bad, but they arent sure. I will be hearing from them later today, so I am keeping my fingers crossed I will have my truck back hopefully soon.
