As far as an actual TRUCK goes, the Tundra wins as the ugliest piece of crap that has ever been constructed out of metal.

Thanks bro... its a nice truck, I am like you when it comes to vehicles, I like to keep them in top shape at all times. Although it doesnt look like that from the first few pics in the top thread because it hadnt been washed in over a week!! lol. 99% of the time it is spotless with a fresh coat of DER Shiney Stuff. I hope a guy on the board buys it though rather than some guy who walks in off the street, but we will see.. !

Hmm I had a transgo in a 2000 Silverado 5.3 and it didnt shift that hard... I had them give me a soft shift kit (i requested less firm shifts) and it shifted harder and better with the Toy Shop kit. Whatever it is, i am sure its better than the transgo anyways. I didnt know you were planning on a cam, so yeah, the stall speed should be based on your cam. For a stock cam, the 2600 was perfect for me. With the Radix it flash stalled to something around 3100 or higher if i remember correctly. Good luck, dont forget the tranny cooler!! edit: as far as I am concerned get RID of that torque management if you have a shift kit.. it will kill your clutches a lot faster !!

I blew my tranny several times when it WASNT supercharged... had it built completely by the Toy Shop (still NA) then threw a Radix on it, and the tranny still runs as good as the day it came out of the Toy Shop. Now its NA again and running as good as ever. This should be the rule of thumb: If you have the $$ for a supercharger... BUILD YOUR TRANNY because its not IF it will blow, its WHEN and how fast. I think anyone thinking of going FI on these trucks needs to think about the tranny first, then buy the supercharger. If not, get your AAA card ready!

I say GO FOR IT.. their shift kit is awesome.. a little firmer than other ones (DO NOT mess with line pressures in the PCM if you get this shift kit). I would also recommend putting a higher stall converter in their like a Yank 2600 or higher ... I think a higher stall is the best mod you can do on these trucks period... quicker ETs because you can get a wayyy better holeshot with it. I drove around on a stock converter for about 10 miles before the tranny grenaded (dealer rebuild, before I did the full Toy Shop overhaul) and the truck felt so damn slow off the line... threw a Yank 2600 in there and DAMN my 0-60 time went down .5 at least..

I bet thats it, your truck looks clean as hell and so glossy it makes the tails look dull in comparison... throw a crapload of coatings on those tails and it would look KILLER

No big deal man... get some good pics up I am sure they would look better if they were in the sun. Have you polished and waxed them yet? it makes a big difference.

I have seen some nice tinted tails in pics on this site.. what are u talking about? They didnt come out as dark as they should have, they arent glossy enough.. I see it good enough from your pics, dont get so defensive they look fine.. look at Chase's truck and you will see what i mean.. those are pics and you can tell how nice they are

Its not really the fact that they light up.. its when they are too blacked out the reflector in them will not reflect light, and that can make it unsafe so they say I think he should have done 1 more coating of tint, a little more clearcoat, and a lot of wetsanding and they would look a lot nicer. Looks better than stock though!!
