Might not be the exhaust then but just a TBTC should get you a 0.5 sec along with a shift kit.
  2. Welcome to the site! This site is very friendly lol. The cam in my sig what I had in my 6.0. it's more a top end cam that requires tuning as well as a 3000 stall. Keep in mind that the stock tranny doesn't like this cam. You will also need a tranny cooler, shift kit with that BUT it gives 100 hp with the right tune. Oh yeah, new springs are required. There is a lot of "supporting" mods to think of depending on the cam you choose.

I had a muffler like that before. It slowed me down. What size of pipes do you have after your cats? Mandrell bend or press bent? The flowmasters are kinda restrictive also. I would launch at lower rpm's like 1500. A cam and stall will help a lot. Your 60' is not that bad with a stock stall. I really think your are loosing some in the high end because of your exhaust...
  4. I bought them at the junk yard, paid 250$can. I know they are expensive. I'm doing my install tomorrow, we'll see how they work!
  5. Very easy, you measure with a tape. You can't go wrong. It is from tank to tank. I have a 34" rad. I just bought some 2005 gm efans. they do just as good but cheaper. I'll hook it to my Nelson harness and they will start automatically.
  6. That is awesome. I just finished my 408 build and I'm very impressed with the results so far. HUGE difference from my old 6.0! Good luck with the build. It took me 64 days lol. It is a torque monster! I like it better than my old high reving 6.0! It is easier on the tranny I think and on the engine in general. All I can say is man does it sound awesome. I am going to put a typhoon intake polished. All the parts are unusual or not yet know but we'll see the numbers soon! Here's a link to the intake : Typhoon 96mm Intake
  7. Well, who knew that a double roller would not fit with the melling pump???(can't close cover) I finally can fit my rockers by machining the guide plates. I will also need some 8" pushrods for the World Cylinder Heads. Plus, those heads came with double 1.457 springs so no need for the springs either. Man, I even have to order new valve covers from moroso because the new rockers are huge.
  8. to the top new prices!!! make offer!!! I won't need those.
  9. My 408 build is not turning out as expected and I have a bunch of parts that do not fit my motor. So I have to get some new ones and sell those. From Compcams: Hi-tech pushrods 7955-16 7.4" Dual valspring kit 26921-kit Double Roller 7153 2.08 valve set 75$ for the pushrods 135$ new 395$ for spring kit 559$ new 85$ for double roller 131$ new 60$ for the valves >100 us$ All the parts brand new, just tried rockers and timing chain on the bare longblock. All packaging included.
  10. Gee, this truck has a freakin nice body and nice side pipes and nice wheels. BUT the price is too high and the performane too low. You should advertise it on ebay as a Silverado SS killer, or SRT-8 killer! You'll have plenty of attention I can guarantee that
  11. As soon as I get my truck back, i'll put the xm in it. I received for Christmas Help a brother out! Thanks
  12. I tried to launch at diff rpm's but my nest bet was to keep it at 1500 rpm. With my cam and stall, it just throws me like a slingshot! Can't wait to try it with the new 408
  13. I fill her up with 94 octane all the time. I can honestly say that I feel the extra dollars! The truck moves a lot more. The truck is supposed to run on 91 minimum.
  14. The warranty parts came in today I got a little surprise, the cam will be 232/236 612/619 114 And the pistons are Arias -3.84 cc
  15. Sure will. Can't wait to see that. Go in the photos section of their site. Photos, is that french or english ? Here's the direct link : Photos edit : don't go there...
  16. It's Champion shop, they rebuild motors since 1974. Champion edit : don't go there...
  17. I just started to receive some goodies The Eagle kit came with Arias pistons Below, some pictures of the cylinder heads, man they have huge springs Tomorrow I should receive the warranty parts from Comp Cams, the build will then take place finally
  18. Believe it or not, they are sending me some replacements parts. Pretty much what is needed to rebuild an engine that Comp Cams makes. So I will be receiving a cam, lifters, pushrods, rockers, double springs, timing chain. This is helping me big time, I am already busting my "budget" on the 408 build. The least I can say is thanks and that you can buy Comp Cams parts with confidence, they stand 100%behind their products.
  19. Final maths done, here's what it will finally look like: 2003 SSS 408 stroker with Eagle kit, 4.030 bore size, 6.125 rod lenght, -2cc flat top pistons. World Products Cylinder Heads. 72cc, 235cc Link : Warhawk LS1X 15 degree CR 10.6 :1 A cam grind of 232/236 595/602 114 1.75:1 Pro-Magnum Rocker Arm Kit (adds about .008 lift) Pro Magnum Hydraulic Roller Lifters Hi-Tech™ Pushrods 7.4" x 5/16" Accel High Impedance Injectors 62 lbs/hr 74620S Link : Accel Injectors I will also add a wideband A/F ratio and a Interceptor scan gauge. I never heard of those cylinder heads before but they look kick ass to me at least.

    Awd Dyno

Cool, I've been looking for an AWD dyno for a while and I just found one!!! Thanks
  21. That's exactly what I need! I bought a used but like new 11hp/30" Craftman snowblower and it's already pissing oil everywhere! I blew the crap out of it by doing a flat roof. We had about 5 feet of snow since the beginning of the winter. Unbelieveable, I thought i'd put the wrench away by buying something recent, doesn't look like it
  22. Yes, they are going to do something. I'll keep you guys posted. However, if I was in your pants Joe, I'd have a couple of cold ones and change my springs. It's been a month minus 5 days since my SS is broken and it sucks.
