I have a code which is a crank relearn code. I have to go to the GM dealer to perform the procedure but I guess I am too lazy and I am running like that for quite a while now. Do you think it can affect the motor in any way? I've been running like that since last september, so that's 8 months. From what I've read, there is nothing critical but it's been a while and the dealership wanted a week delay last time. I guess I'm not patient enough.

They have been in business for quite a long time. Maybe back in the days they would flow more than the others?

Flowmasters are great for saturday night. Mine is a bit loud on monday morning. I have ordered a Magnaflow 15840 to replace my flow, they are just too loud and they don't flow shit.

You know what kills me, it's the exhaust. When my exhaust was fabbed, I was going slower than stock. so you can imagine what this does with a cam like that and a stall too small. Nelson recommended I run a 3000 stall. I know i should be running a lot faster. Just to give you an example, the last time I went to the track completely stock, except for the restrictive flowmaster exhaust, i ran about 16.5 real bad... I don't think my tune is off though. I think it's a flow problem. Imagine a more restrictive exhaust than stock... Nelson dynoed a LQ9 on the bench and it was putting +100hp at the flywheel over stock with that cam and tune. I'll see as soon as i change exhaust. JF-03 : I was kinda shocked when I saw your sig with those mods and that time...

I just raced one this week on the highway. I was goin back and forth trying to get him to race, doing the 4-2 downshift and slowing...he finally grabbed the fish-hook and it was on. i was not able to get the second gear when he finally commited but I nailed it at 65 in third and kept on following him up to 120. He was going nowhere. That was funny though. Can't wait for the other goodies!

Just mounted mine this weekend with the coolant bypass. I works real good. it brings the tranny faster to operation temp which is good because my tranny shifts hard when cold and it keeps it at 165 when I go crazy like at the track. Otherwise it stays around 150.

So i went to the track last friday and it was real nice. Street racing fridays at Napierville Dragway! I ran against a Ram Diesel turbo with gear (3.73) and a tune and it was real close, but he won by a .463. I also ran against a HD1500 with a Radix. He wasn't that fast, but he beat me...by .423. Anyways I have to change that exhaust because it has some POS press bends and it's slower than my stock muffler! I finally made my mind with a Magnaflow 15840 and I am also waiting for a Yank TT 3000. The only win i had was against an older mustang... You think I sould be better? Here is my time slip :

I placed an order for a yank tt 3000 and paid by paypal. I never heard from yank with shipping receipt or what so ever. I emailed yank yesterday...no answer yet. WTF? Am I gonna get this thing or what? That was april 15th. So how long did you guys wait to get that converter?

I drove one this weekend and they are quite cool to drive and I didn't know that thing was supercharged. The S that I drove would not have enough traction though. I think they will have awd soon.

I've got that kit... Don't do the keys, go with spindles instead. The rest is not too bad though. but the rear sits a little high.

I am pleased to introduce myself after almost a year on this forum. It's amazing how this forum is great when it come to making choices, expensive choices. WTF? I had to re-read the first post to realize what he said. On this b-e-a-utiful easter, I went to both families easter meeting yesterday. Then today I bought a tranny cooler on ebay. Drinking Heineken while lookin on various ways of hooking this thing up.

It's funny how tranny shops (not the racing ones) seem to think we don't know shiit about our truck. It's true a 2500 stall is high even the first tranny shop told me it was gonna be like driving to the strip everyday! Anyways, I will be in same position once again as I will be changing stall soon for a yank tt 3000. I paid 900$ for my first rebuild (changed stall at the same time) and then it broke again after my cam/tune install (100+hp). I went to same place, he didn't want to do it and referred me to a real racing tranny shop. That is the kind of tranny shop you want.

Yes, it worked for me too. I played with it before and noticed a change but i redid it and fully took it back and forth and it solved my problem!
