I have just turned 7000 miles on my truck and I was wondering if it was a good idea to change the tranny fluid and filter this early? I buddy of mine said since it is new, I should have changed it around 5K, to remove any initial filings or debris that may have occured during break-in. Any truth to that? I am considering going back with Royal Purple MAX ATF. I have changed to RP oil, so I was thinking I would change all my fluids over as well. What about power steering fluid? Any help is greatly appreciated. NTMID8R

The seats are the stock set up, I just couldn't take any more leather after the Z28. As for the decals, see my post in Appearance for some close up shots. BTW I have a buddy that makes them and he will do them pretty cheap if you are interested. Just PM me. NTMID8R

Absolutely. I had enough sliding all over the place on leather when I had my Z28. Nothing worse than mashin through a corner and ending up in the passenger seat.

So, I just got back from my first car show I ever entered. It was a local show for charity and I thought I would give it a try. We had a good turn out and it there were a lot of sweet rides there, including a Joe Gibbs Extended cab which took first place in 70's and newer truck class. I took a few pictures of my entry to entice you guys. Enjoy

Got mine last week. Here is a pic. #350 of 933. I also was wondering why it only has a production number off 933 instead of 1333? Anyone have a clue?

Here in OK, I paid 2.31 for premium last night. Just last week, I heard some talking head on TV saying we would see 4 bucks a gallon before we would see regular unleaded at 2.15 again. I passed a station this morning where regular was 2.12! Where do this high paid cornholes get their information, ya wonder? Congrats on the new car, and enjoy the comfortable ride, cause we all know the SS's arent't the smothest riders around! NTMID8R

Sounds great misterp, I have seen a lot of your posts and I would love to pick your brain. I too work on the road, so I will have to make plans to be off. My twins birthday is on Halloween, so the chances are pretty good for the 28th. What do you do that keeps you traveling? I just got my Predator today, and it definately makes a difference. The shift firmness is a hit. The predator is a great choice if you plan on future upgrades, because DiabloSport will send you custom tunes via e-mail and you can upload them to the hand held and re-flash the PCM.

Anyone know the proper part number for the Predator programmer for the 06 SS? I have noticed there seems to be 2 different ones (U7192 and U7193) but the descriptions on most retail websites don't differentiate between the two. One website says U7192 doesn't fit the SS models, and TBYRNE site doesn't mention the SS, but says U7192 fits '06 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0. (?) Any help is appreciated.

I have installed dual Super 40's and turned them down right out of the mufflers, and I feel like it helped out a bit in the mid-range, but the bonus is the SOUND! It has a sick rumble at idle and when you get on the throttle, it sounds plain NASTY, just like a race truck should. If you aren't looking for such an ominous sound, just dual it out the back or to the corners, and it will tone it down quite a bit. Just my 2 cents.

Do you remember what part # was for your Flowmaster ?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never even saw the part number , but they were Flowmaster original 40 Series 2 chamber, not the DeltaFlow.

I just added (2) 40 series flowmasters with turndowns right out of the mufflers to my 06 SS and it sounds BAD ASS! It is resonant in the cab, but it just sounds so good! It just sounds like the way the truck is designed to sound, IMO. It definately turns heads when you rumble up to a stop light.

Guys, I am working away from home and don't have a copy of my warranty handy, so I was wondering if adding a full synthetic oil on my first oil change would void that warranty? R

If you have an Intimidator, don't you already have it on your truck? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What I am looking for the logo so I can cut a vinyl sign for the front windshield banner or rear window. I think it would look killer across the rear in the original font in silver.

I'm looking for a copy of the INTIMIDATOR logo that can be scanned up or a font to reproduce the exact logo on the Intimidator. Anyone have any ideas? NTMID8R SS

Hey Guys, Thanks for the info. I'm getting a Line-X sprayed in this week-end and I ordered a Street Scene Speed Grill yesterday. The CAI and exhaust are the next on the list. I have been checking out mufflers and cat-backs, and I want to find the most aggressive sound I can, my 40 Series flowmasters on my camaro were pretty loud, but I heard the Gibson Super Truck was meaner. Any truth to that? I want it to growl when I roll up, not just when I'm cobbin' on it! Any input is greatly appreciated. Also, do you guy's ever have a get together anywhere, like a rally or anything?

Hey Guys, Just thought I would chime in and say Hey. Finally pulled the trigger and traded in my '97 30th Anniversary Z28 on this 2006 INTIMIDATOR Edition SS. Hated to see her go, but the wife only lets me keep a couple of toys at once. Between the dirt bikes, boat and wave runner I seemed to have collected my quota. I've seen a lot of nice rides on here.
