  1. ^ what he said, welcome to the board, please ditch the running boards!
  2. Wife's a CPA, that's why we have nice things, although medical bills are starting to hurt.
  3. Compared to alot of other WTF trucks that show up on this site that one wasn't that bad. Lose the mud flaps and head lights and drop the price about $8k
  4. I'm an IT guy with a 401k, the wife is a CPA, we don't expect to see one cent from social security. If the wife and I keep pushing money in our 401k like we are, we should have a $2.5-3 million saved up by the time we hit late 50s- early 60s. I guess we'll strech that as long as we can and hope our kid likes us enough to take care of us when it runs out...
  5. 2003 Silverado SS in black. stock, except for Magnaflow exhaust- dual in/dual out with polished tips that look similar to OEM SS tip. Fiberglass bed cover with lock, spray in bed liner. Interior is in decent shape for the miles, drivers seat is starting to peel some right at the edge, but no tears or holes, the rest of the interior looks good. The stock cd player won't play and half the lights are out on it. Sat radio, tape, and AM\FM work great. All wheels in good shape with no curb rash, on wheel has a small place where clear coat is peeling off, center caps look good. The truck has always had Mobile one full synthetic and filter. 214k miles. 2 keys\2 fobs, 20% tint on windows It has a set of Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires on it that will need replaced soon. It has new Bell tech street truck performance shocks, serpentine and a\c belt, plugs\wires, air filter. $9000 obo, which is in the middle of retail and trade in on NADA, open to offers, clean title in hand, clear autocheck\carfax. Truck is located in Rome Georgia, about an hour north of Atlanta. Call Stephen @ 706.767.8007 or send me a PM. Here's a pic and a sound clip of the exhaust, i'll post some interior pics later. 6. Considering what he's racing, that's pretty good.
  7. I would think it having issues after it's come up to temp a sensor is having issues but not making the dummer light come on yet. O2 sensor or one maybe knock sensor... Hard to tell without hooking up to a computer. Try to seafoam first.
  8. Those torx security screws would work pretty good and be cheap.
  9. Looks like a good ole fashion set of mud flaps to me....
  10. Sounds like someone needs some tire tool education, theives piss me off! Sorry for your misfortune...
  11. Perhaps he's waiting on a buyer and going to remove yours for you, I'd keep an eye on it. Or he may have just been too lazy to take a pic of his and stole a pic of yours off Facebook, sss.com, etc. Who knows...
  12. I think the only thing that could help that poor girl is a match...
  13. That's the same muffler I have on my truck, do you have a bad droan at 60mph\2000rpm? mine is terrible.
  14. Ok so this thread kinda went south... Anyway, I wound up going euro for my new DD and got a Red Audi TT S-line. 2.0 turbo fwd with all the goodies, 6 speed auto with paddle shifters, 2008 with 38k miles. 19" rims with brand new Pirelli Pzero tires. and got it for $200 over what the dealer paid for it in trade due to the salesmans mistake... After driving a brand new 370z and some other ricers and a couple of Bmers, this car seemed to have more of what I wanted in the price range I wanted to be in. 31mpg hwy 25 city. It has a little turbo lag but at about 1500-1800rpm it comes alive. I ran it up to 125 during the test drive. It has a cool little spoiler that pops up around 60mph too, kinda silly since it's frw but it still looks cool...
  15. I want performance, but with current gas prices and my 120+ mile commute every day, driving my truck is putting a ton of miles on it and costing me around $800+ in gas. I'm not totally opposed to a Camaro yet and was actually looking at some gen IVs after someone recommended it in the thread.
  16. Recently I posted that I was finally retiring the SS to the garage and getting a new DD and was seriously considering a Honda S2000. After driving a couple of them, I've determined that I can't see myself in one of these for 2-3 hours per day. I'm 6'3" and 250ish and the cockpit of this car if just too little for me to have to sit in it that long. Yesterday on my way home, I stopped by the Ford dealership(don't jump on me yet) and drove a new 2014 Mustang GT premium, I've never pictured myself owning a Ford and until recently wouldn't have even considered it. After driving that car and see how much power it had as well as the gas mileage from a 415hp car (18-19 city\ 26-27 hwy) and talking to a friend of mine that has a 2011 GT Premium and is getting 29-30mpg consistently on his 50 mile one way commute. I'm seriously considering getting a pony car as a DD. I looked at a Camaro SS and they're nice but get about the same mileage as my truck... I'm looking for the best compromise between performance and economy and I'm seriously thinking Ford has done it with this car. That's my spill let the comments fly...
  17. Those are baddass! I'd love a set in dark gunmetal.
  18. Me and the wife love going to Disney and having been to both, Disneyland in Cali and Disney World, Disney World is a totally different place. I highly recommend going to Epcot, lots of good adult stuff to do and some cool rides too, there are lots of things to do in Downtown Disney as well. Universal and Islands of adventure is ok, the wife and I can do both parks in one day with time to spare.
  19. Got a big job interview with the Hooter's corperate office this afternoon, wish me luck!

It went really well, met with the CTO, he said they'd call me Wed to confirm me for the job.

  20. My standard height truck only squats about 3/4" with a 6500lb camper on it with almost 700lbs of tongue weight, you should be ok with a boat. I can hardly tell my 19' bass boat is behind the truck. If you find it does affect it or tries to bottom out after you drop it, you can always buy some helper bags for the truck and that will fix it.
  21. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/3851294700.html It would be an awesome truck if someone had it neutered...
  22. The firs time I had to use mine, I knew about the secondary latch but the damn thing was stuck and would not unlatch. took me 2.5 hrs to get it freed... That had to have been a Ford Engineer that transferred to GM...
