  1. yea if it was a tank pressure code from either running/starting the truck with the cap off or loose, it will go away on its own. im sure your fine.....
  2. yea thats what i heard on the news too..... his girlfriend was messing arround or something and he went to the dorms to find the kid that did it, then he was trying to find her...... truly horrible
  3. sent ya a PM..... im sorry for your loss, and trust me i know your pain..........unfortunatly
  4. I've got the GMPP intake too.... looks great under the hood, especially with the radix. nice setup man
  5. well shes up and running. i cant tell you how happy it makes me to not be able to hear the piston slap (diesel noise) at all times, especially from inside while driving. no more drivetrain noise either, with a stock idle (literally). i highly recomend the LPE camshafts. ive put many into customers cars, but this is a first for me. i wish i wouldve taken pictures of the pistons, they were even better than i expected. i got them out of an 07 HD 6.0 VVT. they had teflon coated skirts, about an 7-8cc dish, and valve reliefs! this setup put my compression @ arround 9.8:1 with 64.5cc heads and stock head gaskets. this is a great upgrade for someone looking to lower compression. they will handle 7-8lbs with no fear but of course im gunna find out just how much farther they will go if you need part numbers, just PM me.
  6. i know there are stuck up BMW drivers, but think about it.... what specific type of car doesnt have its a-holes? its not like there are no SS drivers that are stuck up (not really on here, but you get my point). about the reliability and service: BMW now offers like 3 years of free service (pads, oil, light bulbs etc). not to mention, i have a 2000 330i and i havent had to do one repair on it. if the BMW store is too expensive for an oil change........ go somewhere else can you honestly blame BMW for your driving habits?
  7. yea i know that its not "bulletproof" but..... it will hold 550 whp all day long. its lighter, quieter, fits better, and best of all is lower compression than my old setup. i doubt very many have seen these rods or pistons, but there not what you would expect
  8. chrome-moly is what the mahle pistons are made of, they SUCK. this isnt a race car lol, way too agressive for everyday. drako- its not the exhuast ( i love to scare people shitless from sheer roaring noises), it was the agressive rings and tight skirt to wall clearance of the mahles.... almost done with the motor!!! wooohooo ive missed the truck, although driving the Z06 aint too bad lol
  9. the only thing thats adjustable is the idler pulley that comes on the new bracket assymbly. sorry about the 2 and a half inches thing, i gotta stop working 13 hour days lol...... fuel pressure should always be 58psi, always. i know belts being thrown is usually a case of something not lined up, but theres nothing you could knock out of line..... it only goes on one way, which makes me believe its the length of the belt and/or the adjustment of that idler. if i could diagnose the truck in person this would be very simple actually lol
  10. well 408 is sold, and i have the truck all taken apart getting the following changes: -LQ4 pistons (lower my compression 0.6:1) -2006 LS2 rods (stockers) floating -ARP rod bolts -stock ring set -LS7 lifters -LPE oil pump -LPE gt2-3 camshaft -stock rockers and pushrods wow is it gunna be nice to have a QUIET engine!! stupid chrome-moly rings
  11. yea no OD is NOT normal in any way..... check out that 4th gear servo, make sure its functioning right.
  12. two and a half inches is alot..... i only went down an inch, if that. what kind of belt is it? it sounds to me like a fuel pressure problem; the radix kits are known to run lean with the added boost, but not that lean. fuel pressure should be CONSTANT @ 58psi. if you do have the stock pump, you will see 58psi at idle; however, @ WOT you will see ALOT less if indeed its stock
  13. yea is it intercooled?? about the belts: those things are touchy as hell. you need to take at least a half inch out of the belt with that 2.9 pulley. if its too long, when you let off the throttle, the belt streches so far that it completely releases the tensioner and whips the belt off. ive killed like 3 belts and thrown at least 4, go tthe new belt and its been fine. the 42lb inj will BARELY support a 2.9. they usually get about 12:1, at 110-115% duty cycle. at that duty, they will not last too long. you will need larger injectors. you have an 06 right?? did you install the walbro fuel pump in the tank? check your fuel pressure, the check valve is on the driver side fuel rail, towards the front. let me know what your pressure is, then i can help you alot more
  14. i know this is gunna sound weird, but i took my mahle's out tonite and am putting some GM LQ4 cast pistons in tomorrow, along with my stock rods and lingenfelter rod bolts. then im throwing the GT2-3 cam in, out with that crane nonsense, taking those stupidly expensive crane lifters out (as well as those really stupidly expensive rocker arms), going for stock rockers. yes, it sounds like a huge step backwards. but im gunna make more power, and most importantly my truck wont sound like a duramax with 100k miles its a DD, not a bracket racer. i think i originally went a tad overboard on the standard of parts i used should get me about 9.9:1 compression ratio
  15. alrighty no hurry now, had to blow my T56 fund on pistons and other stupid shit . it would be much appreciated if you posted them here or wherever when your finished. thanks
  16. 408 is gone , and i found a way to keep her! so, for a while at least, its not going anywhere!!!! im pretty happy lol (as you can tell by my frequent and unnecesarry use of smileys)
  17. i only got 2k miles outa my stupid 65e. that maggie wasnt on there for 800 miles and WAAABAAAAM! after that it was like "how many pieces of the sunshell can you find in the case?" turned out that everything but the 5 pinion carriers were TOAST. the FLT parts have really done wonders tho.... 500+ whp and near decent traction launches from 2600rpm and shes still shifting 10k miles later. putting the T56 in anyways, so i dont need all that troublesome fluid and large heavy parts
  18. alright guys check this out...... http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/12...he-911-gt3.html and this http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/10...ty-bullies.html look what i do for you http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/11...eavy-pedal.html thank you come again!
  19. check it out http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/12...ota-tundra.html EDIT: might i add, thats the NEW TUNDRA. ya, um, wasnt that the one that was supposed to be "the truck thats changing everything?" (it didnt even get second)
  20. they built 07 SS classics for MAYBE 2 months. funny thing is GM still takes orders for them, they just get thrown out. you can still find 07s arround tho
  21. i am 99.9% sure i got everything covered, i just wanted to see how ppl were making shifter extensions to fit like that picture of retsell's truck. any pictures you have would be cool
