  1. nice kill. but you might want to take the revs down a little. that egines not made to spin much more than 5800 stock. i dont mean to critisize you, but im surprised you havent broken anything yet. i dont like to see fellow SS'ers walking home.
  2. i made 289 whp with a BBK 80mm, CAI, and a tiiiiiiny bit more timing. installed the radix with the 80mm BBK and CAI, stock superchips tune. i ran with a 3.2" pulley. it made 409 whp with an IAT of about 140. this is SAE corrected on a dynojet, both times. i threw a 3" pulley, TR6 NGKs, and a QUICK tune (maybe 5 mins of fooling arround). made 441 whp with an IAT of about 130. the stock maggie tune will run a 3", but i dont recomend it. the maggie tune pulls a hell of alot of timing if you live in warm climate like i do. but its pretty fat on the a/f as well, so it does leave some "safety" room to work with. however, the efficency of a 3" pulley on a stock tune is pretty lousy. id leave it 3.3 until you can get a tune, add some fuel and some more advance. just PM me if you have any questions about it, ive thrown countless hours at my truck on the dyno lol
  3. you have to weld them in place. are any of you guys forced induction? yup. stupid cats worked for MAYBE two weeks tops. my truck has since then shot the cats out peice by piece i took them off to check em out...... almost totally gone! i was like wtf is my truck getting louder? then when it started to like shoot shit out, like mabye some unburned fuel and sometimes some burning fuel i thought, hm, maybe i should check them out.
  4. go for a cam and then save up some $$$ and throw some heads on it. that will make some nice power. also, your right. the insurance company pays you for the damages you are owed. your door WAS fine, but then it became worth nothing. SO you get the, say, $500 to get a new door. if you so choose not to get a new door, your still $500 short on your truck. either way the money is rightfully owed, and its 100% legal to do with it what youd like.
  5. damn it must be cold outside its normal for the spark to jump arround at idle. thats just the adaptive idle control doing its best to keep the commanded RPM. the O2 readings will also look like they are small children on crack doing jumping jacks. i did notice that your LTFTs are horrible. go drive it arround at operating temps some more, you need to fix those. everything looks normal to me steve, other than the truck still learning the fuel trims..... put like at least 50 miles on it and then see how its running.

  9. i can get you a set..... im not sure if its the same part numbers as that kit, but im running the SS specific nitro-active 2" drop shocks up front, and the silverado 0"-4" drop rear nitro-actives. this is also what we have put on several customers cars. they work great and i can get a set by tomorrow. let me know if your interested. if so i have the part numbers if youd like. i can also get you the belltech keys that come with the kit (although i HIGHLY recomend 2" drop spindles if youd like a professional, factory spring rate suspension) and the rear 2" shackles.

How did I know you were going to say that. haha your good i guess?!? honestly i think you should get the brembo 6-piston kit, its my dream lol. who says 6k on brakes is too much???? my trucks already sobbed up its worth in parts, so for me (and i know chase ) its just a money pit. we know we wont get the money back, but we still throw it down the pit
  11. restriction for one, and want to give it a try in SD heard theres some gains to be had....well see how things work out if i go fully with it or not o ok. this trucks just for racing right? i imagine its not gunna be too civilized without a MAF. honestly a card-type MAF like the new Z06 uses has nearly no restriction
  12. for a radix you need either the WCCH j tube conversion or the MP122 j jube from magnasun(good luck with that lol). the stock TB is a 3 bolt, the LS2 type is a 4...... also correct me if im wrong but i believe with the truck style LS2 TB (off the trailblazer) you dont need to adapt the stock harness, they should be the same

  16. thats because..............the bowtie smallblock rules the world dont believe me? take a 8.3L 10 cylinder dodge motor....... then a smallblock 6.0L 8 cylinder. put them in cars that weigh almost the same, both with the T56, and what happens? you get a car for half the price that runs the same times oh and i almost forgot, it gets about 26 mpg on the highway and close to 16 city. doesnt the viper have gas guzzler tax................?
  17. im putting my yank converter in this week, and my buddy i work with keeps telling me i have to buy a new flexplate to replace my stocker. he keeps saying that they break left and right, and im incredibilly lucky mine hasnt. but i cant remember reading once on here about somebody who broke one...... i dropped like 3k on this money pit just in the past week, so avoiding another 200 bucks would be swell thanks for your input

  23. generally FI will be the same fuel economy in the city if kept in vaccum. however, i dont know who buys a blower to stay in vaccum and out of boost lol. highway was increased for me, most likely due to the roots type blower having just about no parasitic draw. i get about 18 mpg @ 80 mph. i have a 3.73 rear, 58lb injectors. stock other than 80mm TB and CAI with the maggie i got arround 17.5 mpg going 70 (on the maggie tune). my average of mixed highway and city is like 12.7 over 600 or 700 miles
