  1. The AEM is great! We put corsa exhaust and aem on our 06 tahoe too. When the tahoe was stock we drug it with our avalanche and it was a tie the whole way but when we added the combination of AEM and corsa it smoked the avalanche.

Cool, I'll pick the AEM soon for my V-Max and maybe the Magnaflow Exhaust.

  2. Yeah, I want to add an AEM intake. How does your AEM responds on your truck? I'm still not sure if I should go with Borla or Magnaflow. Right now, I got the stock intake with a K & N Air Filter. I'm just stock except for the tune. Soon, I'm installing exhaust, cold air intake,160 stat, and headers. But my truck really woke up with the tune. Tune and you will see the difference.

  3. I went with black bear and I'm very satisfied with my tune, made my truck run really good. Got rid of all that TM and delay. Now my V-Max has a sick launch and it doesn't lose power after it shifts. I would say go with black bear and get ready for your truck to run how it is supposed to from the factory. I was also considering going with Wheatley, but I got a good deal with Black Bear. Is it true Wheatley charges for retunes?

  4. I suggest you go with a custom tune if you want to get more power. I don't recommend a programmer, save your money and go with a custom tune cause you will probably end up selling the programmer. I have a black bear custom tune and it is the best mod I have on my truck. With the tune it will get rid of all the TM, 4 second delay, speed limiter and all the bad stuff GM put on these trucks and makes them way slower than they are.

  5. the 4x4 max trailering comes with th3 4:10 gears.....

Who did your tune.... how much??? phone #? thanks man

Justin at Black Bear Performance tuned my V-Max, he did it for 200 dollars and it was worth it. The tune was the best mod I have done to my truck. It really woke up my truck and it got rid of the annoying 4 second delay these newer trucks come with and it gained hp and torque, and I got rid of the speed limiter. If you wanna go with Justin, check out his site at blackbearperformance.com

  6. if they dont come out with a new SS soon ill be pickin up one of these....but keepin my SS also cause i love it!!! Im hopin they at least drop the 6.2 in a truck other than the denalli...i love the denalli but i dont want somin that nice lookin cause i feel bad putin my redneck mods on it!

I heard that they are going to put the 6.2 and 6 speed in the Silverado, but it is only going to be available on the crew cab not on the extended cab.

  7. paid 36k and some change.....

no rear disc brakes.... doesn't have the MAX TRAILERING package +1300= 4:10 gears and upgraded rear axle w/disc brakes

I have the Max Trailering Package and mine came with 3.73 gears

and mine also came with the rear disc brakes.

Nice truck bro, I also wanted black but they only had the one I bought

or an LT1 red V-Max so I went for the LTZ V-Max I have now.

Tune your Max bro and it will be way faster and responds way better

    than when they are stock.

  8. My new V-Max is the best truck I have ever owned, if u really wanna see power out of your truck get a custom tune. A V-Maxes come with the all aluminum L76 6.0L engine, it comes with the 4L70E transmission, and if equipped with the NHT package the extended cab models come with rear disc brakes, if the NHT doesn't come on an extended cab it doesn't have rear disc brakes or if it has Stabilitrak it come with rear disc brakes. A crew cab doesn't have to come with NHT package because they come standard with Stabiltrak which means they have rear disc brakes. My V-Max felt slow but then I tuned it and it was a completely different truck. The 6.2L and 6 speed automatic wasn't available on 07-08 trucks. I heard that on the 2009 it will be available.
