  1. It must have been the master. Did the hydro booster swap and it stops better than ever now. However I now have a noise when accelerating. ...I really hope the pump is ok
  2. This has been the install from hell broken lines, wrong parts, and now a lost brake pedal clip #$#@$#@ just my luck
  3. I #@%#@$ up i lost the brake pedal retaining clip would a dealer or someone have one in stock? is it a normal size? someone please help me find the part # and/or the part itself. Trying to find locally
  4. Thanks for the input Tried it. No way in hell am i getting it off. Going to have to remove pump. Is it better to use the junkyard pump designed for hydroboost or do the "T" and use my pump?
  5. I got a bleeding tool and used something like 60+ ounces of fluid bleeding the brakes. No leaks anywhere same problem I really think the master is shot Got a new master on the way also go a hydroboost unit for the swap Although i did get a master and pump with the hydroboost i am going new with the master and reusing my old pump with a T fitting hopefully the money pit will be fixed soon
  6. I read the how to's Can you access the pressure line on the pump without removing? I dont have a pulley puller. I will be using a T-Fitting Thanks for the help.

Ugh I am positive i let the master run dry one time. long story. but that was about a year ago.... anyway to bleed the abs system without a tech 2 my train of thought: No ABS, weaker brakes, "service brake system" under hard braking, fluid full, no leaks found, Parking brake sensor disconnected, for some reason my master does not have a fluid level sensor Things that may be bad: Master Brake booster auxiliary vacuum pump maybe i will do the hydoboost swap effectively replacing all 3

  11. Its been a while. hopefully you guys can help me out yet again 2004 SSS AWD I recently did the 07 Tahoe front brake upgrade with SS lines. I also bled the rear brakes (fluid was horrible. almost black.) everything was fine for about 500 miles then i get "service brake system" light and message when i use the brakes medium to hard every so often. never when lightly braking. The message always clears itself, usually after a few seconds. brake fluid is full. Thanks for any and all input

  15. runs good but all the little problems with my truck is confusing me....where they there before or just started? lol need to change the vent valve solenoid. sick of CEL and "Tighten fuel cap" popping up need to finish the LED in the HVAC controls need to look into the stumble at idle. Changed MASS, 02 sensors, plugs, wires.... and i feel it is being a little different starting from a stop. not sure if it always did or not 125K on the clock now.... edit: i have been keeping an eye on the trans fluid and while checking i herd the truck's idle stumbling a little like it has for a while now. Then i saw the culprit. One of my MSD wires had a little tear and was sparking agaist the header. I had spares from when some of mine burnt on the headers. A quick swap and it idles perfectly now got truck back, trans is better than ever, new converter, and now i fixed the stumble! if only my bank account wasn't hurting from all the repairs (thanks performabuilt....) I would be having a great week!
  16. GOT IT! had to wait until today b/c my friend forgot to pick up the new flex plate at the dealer and the parts dept was closed when i got there. It runs great, just some minor issues that it had when it left.... also FYI our trucks are fast! kept going 15-20 over the limit by accident without even noticing! lol missed it sooo much
  17. well looking on CL i could get one with a very good body and running for 2K and a project car that already has body work done and in primer for 1K. not worth it..... I passed. unless anyone here wants it, i can set something up...
  18. thanks guys! (of course i get my truck back when fuel prices spike and it breaks when they are low lol) AND i did the LED conversion when it was down. cant wait to see the cluster lite up!

  20. hum pic is def not the flex plate. i dotn have time to wait for shipping so i got a GM one for a independent repair shop cost. think it was like $100 my performabuilt TC blew, twice.....
  21. What are you replacing the broken one with? Aftermarket or GM? I had a aftermarket and it would grind at start up. It wobbled too but later found out i had a bad TC. I went with GM

  24. so a buddy of mine in my fire department has a 67 mustang (not fast back, 6 banger). It needs a lot of work like my camaro did. He just wants it out of his back yard. said the front window is cracked and there is a dent on the roof from a tree branch. let just say that the car needs a total frame off resto, what is it worth? He told me to make him an offer but i dont want to offend him.... I was thinking 750 muscle car market died off. he wants it gone asap. he said the car was driven to the spot it is in now. new floors put in right before he stopped working on it
