  1. I was told that it's always recommended to do an alighnment after the drop. I read all of your posts prior to making my decision on the type of drop I was going to do because I really like how yours came out, and becuase you said you didn't need to mess with anything else. But when I got into it, someone suggested the alignment, as well as the shop doing the drop, so I did it. What's $60, right? Riv - let me ask you....do you back your truck up alot like I do? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i do not. i just have a hard time seeing if the only thing you are disconnecting is the upper and lower ball joints that an alignment is necessary. i think any shop would recommend having an alignment but ive done this truck as well as a 97 s-10 i didnt have to align either so maybe ive been lucky. as far as camber mine hasn't changed at all and i havent heard of backing in changing the pitch of the camber but maybe it does. hope you get it going either way.
  2. im not really a turbo guy but seems like wheel2wheel i think makes a nice front mount turbo kit.
  3. i baffled here. i think you put on the same drop as mine and i had no camber change at all. my alignment was exactly perfect before and after as well. i don't think if all your doing is changing the knuckles and not cranking the torsion's that an alignment is needed. im confused.
  4. its called $$$$. same reason there's no awd anymore. why else do you think you paid 5k or more less than they cost in 03, 04 etc. look at the bright side now you can go out and buy a set of baer brakes for much less than 5k.
  5. Might want to shop for an attorney. Look these guys up: Dewey, Screwum & Howe Disclaimer: NSFW or anywhere for that matter but these guys will get the job done <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i just
  6. i can only muster a 32. the 18th is rough.
  7. i dont think it would matter. i ran a 10mm mallory race wire off my buick for a week till a got my wire thing straighten out and it ran fine. one thing i noticed with the taylors is that they did not like to be zip tied at all!!!! i was going to zip tie one and after i did, misfire. took off the zip tie and no misfire. food for thought.
  8. not exactly. i googled french translation then typed in "this broad looks like she could f*** the sh** out of me" and that's what came up.
  9. Ce large a l'air d'elle pourrait baiser la vie de moi !
  10. neat....how's the turning radius???
  11. you seemed to like them okay when you said they looked good on my truck a couple of weeks ago
  12. i just put my dynatech headers on a couple of weeks ago and burned the #5 plug wire. i called dynatech and what was funny was that they said there werer thousands of those systems in use with no problems. BUT if i REALLY wanted, they would ship me two new retrofitted wires for the #5 and #7 holes. dumb huh? anyways on raceworks recommendation i went with taylor vertex wires that i cut myself and routed differently and since have no problem. footnote. i also thought i had a misfire at high rpm but it turned out to be the driver side header hitting the body. very little clearance there. i just used a prybar and pushed the body back a smidge and no more problems. i have the two retrofitted wires if you want. they are msd 8.5 superconductors i think with a 90 degree bend on the block side. pm if you want and i can drop them in the mail for you if interested.
  13. following along with the completely ridiculous thread i just felt like mentioning that i just plugged my office toilet and man the receptionist is pissed at me!
  14. it isnt that easy ey ey. you will need to cut hard lines and either make new ones or rebend the old ones. good luck with out the proper tools. im sure that's not the help you were looking for but that's the honest truth.
  15. i only briefly skimmed through the posts, but my wife works for the sherriffs dept in san mateo county and i know for a fact that off duty cops get paid extra to go to court. on another note: maybe you should have bought that 7 series beamer which couldnt win a race against a wheelbarrow then you wouldnt be in this situation. and finally. i know we're all friends here but you are a a fricken tool. grow up and get a clue.
  16. well im not sure if my symptoms are the same as punkt71 but they sure seem similar. i was close to running out of gas a couple of weeks back and ended up parking on a hill to get some lunch. display said i had 28 miles left when i parked. got in and it barely started then stalled then noticed the gauge said low fuel with no mileage number. got it going and filled up the tank. now every couple days ill be parked and when i try to back out and make a hard turn it kinda dies. put it back in park and rev the engine and it seems ok. seems like the fuel pump to me but i thought i read somewhere that the battery could be the culprit too? im dying here folks so any help you can provide would be great. thanks.
  17. Thanks for the help; just ordered the 5 piece set from Carriage Works.
