  1. what kind of shift kit do you have in?
  2. i asked him and he said he just wasn't a computer guy. i guess he has something more important to do than hang out here for the better part of the day.
  3. 32K out the door two months ago. now sticker was 38 too but they were offering 6500 off i think on all 06's then i haggled from there. and at that point i'd been to about 7 dealerships in northern cali and this was only brand new 06 i found.
  4. not planning on keeping this stuff anymore so i might as well part with it. i have manifolds and the cats with pipes complete and uncut. not really sure what there worth to somebody but if i can get a reasonable offer then someone might as well get them. im also selling two mandrel bent exhaust pipes back from spintech. these are 2.5 inch diameter and i have 3 inch bologna tips for them too. these would exit in rear i believe but would have to double check that. also have an ss tip which im sure somebody wants. also have a complete intake setup with all the hardware. make me offers friends
  5. so im tooting along tonight and i end up pulling behind a blue ss at a light. he chirps the tires as he leaves the light and i figure what the heck maybe he wants to have a go. at this point i dont think he realizes im in an ss either. i pull next to him 2 lights down and he motions forward so im ready. we both hit it from green. he launches on me a little as i cant get the traction control being off thing down yet but as soon as i get to 4500 rpms or so and into second im starting to reel him in. buy the time i look down we're doing about 90 and im about a good car length ahead of him. we come to another light and he tells me his is an 04 with flows/headers and tune. long story shhort, i get him to pull over in a safeway parking lot and he tells me that he ran a 14.2 at the track about 2 months ago. he says i just plain beat him? i know that after i put in the shift kit and nelson tune that my truck pulls like crazy from about 4000 on, barks 2nd (not chirps) that i have much more power but that would put me in the low 14's? high 13's on slicks? im still running 22's and i cant believe it!!! i asked him if he was a member here but he said he wasnt. so not really a kill per say but im pretty happy/conused with the truck's performance.
  6. i have the rear nitro shocks brand new in a box if you want them. whatever they cost from summit ill sell them to you for.
  7. well the black ss is no longer at the lot. but i did see the blue one for sale still in autotrader.
  8. there's a blue one for sale in autotrader right now. i think an 04? also i saw a black one the other day at a lot in san jose. i'll let you know where if i see it tomorrow.
  9. for pure bump id go with kicker comp but overall quality its tough to beat a set of jl 10w3's.
  10. im totally confused. is this a single four channel amp setup? why not just get a monotube amp for the subs and a second amp for door speakers and deck? cleansweep only cost me 299.00 and if you want to keep factory deck and or use steering wheel controls with second amp its a must anyways. im kinda lost.
  11. Damn, if that doesn't teach you anything, I guess going to jail might! Forget the $1700.00, just imagine how your insurance company is going to react when they see the 8 points. That's going to be some long term punishment! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> who cares right? mommy pays for his insurance anyways.
  12. i did everything you did and added door speakers. they may be bose door speakers but a paper cone'd speaker is still a paper cone'd speaker. put in an amp to power door speakers and see how long those will last. invest in the cleansweep and new door speakers. well worth the money.
  13. even though i bought my headers new i had mine surfaced right out of the box. my last two sets of jba's and kooks both ended up leaking on the flange so i didnt want to take a chance with leaks this time. i also had to reuse one of the clamps as well. i attached a couple of pics of my wires so you can get an idea of what the deal is. obviously you can route yours anyway you see fit too.
  14. my 06 has a two piece driveshaft. and i guess im lucky cause i got no vibration from the same drop kit.
  15. the only rough part for me was slipping the boots over the wires. they are fricken tight. i used grease, wd, soap and still they are not easy.
  16. PM sent about the 2 wires <{POST_SNAPBACK}> pm answered.
  17. good choice. one word of advise. be patient putting the boots over the wire ends after you cut them. they are a little tight.
  18. i agree. my 06 stops quite easily. still a little choppy if im doing a long slow stop but otherwise work very easy.
  19. correct. you really only need to wrap the #5 & #7 wires. i only wrapped those two. i used asbestos wrap for marine applications. i did not change the plugs. with only 1400 miles it just didnt seem worth it to me. you could also contact dynatech and they will send you out two new retrofitted msd wires to replace the factory ones if you want. i have them but never put them on as i changed all mine over to the taylors. if your interested, pm me and i could drop them in the mail to you.
  20. oh absolutely they have to have ls1 connections on the coil end. i ordered from summit the following. pn: TAY-46052 terminal boot kit $15.39 pn: TAY-73455 spiro-pro universal 8MM $57.39 i bought my own heat wrap from a local speed shop but i think taylor sells this stuff too.
  21. i went with revolution raceworks recommendation on this one and got the taylor vertex wires. i see many on here have the msd's but when i contacted msd they were fairly clueless as to the wires i needed with ls1 connections on one side and straight boots on both ends.
  22. buy new wires with heat shields. i have had zero problems since doing this.
  23. look the same as my old ones i just got a couple of weeks ago. and they sure did burn the #5 plug wire.
