if it just growls there a fix to it. i beleive all you need to do is replcae the bearings?? not to sure on that, but if its toast anyway light em up!!! and catch it on video i want to see lol

if you need money sell it, but if not keep it, i rember working on one with my uncle a 69 dodge dart. it was a complete resto. i was like 7-8 years old hellping him, and thats when i first got into cars. we brought to every show and always one first place. then it sat for a while so he decided to sell it. now he is kicking himself for doing it. so hold on to it for a little longer imo

i heard it can be done since some do it for dynoing but i have heard horror stories. that it messes up the front diff. some say they have problem with it for 50 miles some have dynod liked that over 50 pulls. so i dont think its a good idea.. dont want to need to get a new front diff just so you can smoke up tires for a little bit

ya i lernt that now that the 5.3 is more common. when i was looking at trucks all i saw was v6 and v8 not the liter size. well at least is not a v6...plus there will be mods to try to make it better. but since im on the hunt for a donor car maybe a swap will be in place?? plus i didnt notice a difffrence between a 5.3 and 4.8. i raced my buddies 5.3 i just kept up with him. but o well guess ill just need a s.c lol

one more question, what kind of socket do i need to remove the seats. it looks like i need to unbolt the seats to move the console. and the nut on there looks weird. is it a external torx? if so what size becuase i dont have any that big and will have to run to sears since snapon isnt coming till thursday. any help would be good.

im still young but have many bad experience with doing things. one of the most recent was probably a remote start, when i was told to remove a remote start and put in a remote start alarm combo! well of course i didnt hear the alarm part and put in a new same exact unit. the wholw time i was doing it i was saying wow these wires are just like the last ones. then when the customer comes pick it up he tells me about the alarm. i almost freaked out when he said alarm so needless to say he cam eback the next day to pick it up....was i pissed!!!! and also i remeber a tune up on my 88 jimmy pu. (first one ever) i do all the plugs and wires. start it up and its shaken like a mofo!!! call my uncle says i must have crossed threaded a plug and not to run it becuase compression could make it blow. so i listen for it and hear a clicking noise. so i take out all the plugs except the ones at the front of the engine since i said those were the easyist, i couldnt mess those. well after a long ass time come to find out i didnt have the wire on enough on the front plugs and it was arcing to the engine.. aslo the bigest pita was a o2 change on a jetta were i used the torches to get it out and melted the threads in the cat....needless to say i spent a while tapping the cat out..

trust me that console will be done!!!! im going to junk yards tomorow hopefully i will get lucky on some good parts. it will look so good, plus its what i wanted since i bought the truck. i love it in my moms escalade so i will love it in mine. but doesnt it have the heating controls in the back of it?? also fordsareslow could you get me a pic from the back wall to the console, i dont want it to mess up my sub. hopefully i wil have enough room. p.s i was also thinking about changing my interior but the more i think about it i think tan leather and the console woul dlook good. since no one else has tan interior. i might stick with it.

ya when i got mine i didnt really think about performance of it, just wanted a louder sound. but no matter what i love the sound now so much deeper and louder then the 50 series. a drone at highway, but its ok. im not worried about it until i start adding to the engine...

i had "something" like this hapen to me a week ago leaving school. it was so cold (-10*) and i started up the truck. let it warm up a lil and went to go drive. its sounded weird. like it was sucking in air. like a whinding noise, but i moved then when i stop'd to let someone let me go i steped on the gas and the check enigne light flashed, the rpms went up and down like rapid, the radio cut in and out and the lights were flashing on off. and it wouldnt move, so i thought i was in neutral, but i wasnt the rpms went up and i didnt go anywere and i was rolling to i steped on the brakes and they were like a rock(no pun intended). and the truck was running so as i roled i shut it off and put it on and it came back to normal. i also suck at explaining things but its very very weird when your truck acts up on you!
