  1. Said f*** it and got home today, took the headliner out and started tossing a little murder mat on the roof. Only did 2 sheets so far and wow its defiantly a thud and not sheet metal on the spot I put it. Not sure if I should go ahead and do full coverage or just 60, 70, or 80%. 2. I don't have a meter and never even metered before. As much as I want to, I just don't think its all that loud. Maybe I just got used to it. It gets in your ears sometimes but it doesn't seem like its 145...maybe, just maybe 140. I need to find someone local with a termlab to see what's good. I heard that even if it doesn't seem uncomfortable it can still do decent on the meter. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  3. Haven't had time to do any carpet or what not the last 2 weeks so it still looks like the above pic. I did however just receive 40 sq ft of murdermat and will be deadening the hell out of that shaky roof and rear wall when I do remove everything to work on it. Got my crescendo pwx6s and ft1 tweets coming in next week also. It's going to be a full overhaul pretty much with removing everything again. Not to excited but it should sound good when done. Going to hop on it the weekend after easter. Defiantly will take a couple pics and an overall for an update. Thinking about switching it up and selling the amp and subs and upgrading to a bc5500 and some sp4s or tantrics down the road. This will come later though. Once finished it will be a clean drop in if I ever switch. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  4. My trans guy said 500 to drop and put back in if I ever wanted to change anything. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  5. No and will need to know what harness was used. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  6. What harness you using? Did you adjust the gain on the harness? Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  7. I personally would put something lime this in its place. http://www.woofersetc.com/p-3618-cl-6e-cdt-audio-classic-series-65-mid-range-drivers.aspx Then leave the tweeter. Would sound pretty good. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  8. They will work and they will sound fine. Adjust the treble down a lick. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  9. Bose is overrated. As is JL, but with a lot more quality product to back them up. My only issue with just tossing a new component set in, the component set is going to come with a xover. Do you not use it and run active off the bose amp. In theory that's what it is doing from stock. Option 1: Looking for something under 100$ go coaxial or just replace the mid range. Option 2: Unless you are wanting to spend atleast 150$ for just an entry level component set then go with option 1. On top of this with only the stock Bose amp and adding anything but option 1 is going to be extremely underpowered. If you want to go option 2 make sure you get something efficient. 10. As far as the window thing goes. I think everyones does that unless you have a crazy awesome electrical system. I have 2 batteries and the stock 145 amp alt and sometimes it will just drop down to 13v and take a couple minutes to rise back to 14.4 and that's with no draw on it that I'm aware of. I woildnt be to worried. As long as it hops back up in a reasonable amount of time. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  11. Technically you just need a midrange speaker. No coaxial or components. The tweeter is prob still good that is in the a pillar. Easy and cheap way, just toss a set of coaxials in there. Or you can just buy a 6 1/2 midrange from like woofersect.com or something. If I wasn't driving I'd search you out a decent set. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  12. I had this issue with a reprogrammed pcm. I didn't do the crank relearn and was getting this code. All though mine still drove fine. Just tossing it out there. Hope you get it fixed! Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  13. Same price I pay for my damn royal purple hps. I guess I shall try out the amsoil! Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  14. Not to hijack. I can get 6 quarts amsoil signature series 5w-30 and amsoil filter for 70$ shipped to my door. Should I run with it or can someone find it cheaper? Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  15. I usually buy the royal purple hps off amazon or strait from summitracing. I think I'm going to switch and try the whole amsoil thing. Somehow I got sold on it. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  16. Definitely need to sound deaden like hell. And my rear window latches are buzzing so bad also. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  17. I'll take a couple in the morning. Was so excited to test it I didn't take any. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  18. Got it in for temp until this weekend when I get some carpet for it and bolts. God damn is this thing ****ing loud. No hair tricks but its moving some air. I'll post a vid this weekend. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  19. I'm not a fan of scoche either. Second this. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  20. Defiantly wouldn't mind metering it. Not really shooting for a specific number. If I can hit a low to middle 140s I would be happy. For now lol... Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  21. Nah, don't think its necessary for the power I'm running to them. 45ing the corners and that's about it. No extra bracing. Box is 7.5 cu ft net. Tuned to 33hz. 15 inch of port per foot. Port up, subs up, should be decent. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  22. Thanks! 30$ a sheet for mdf at home depot is kinda meh. I went with it anyway. Could have got some cabinet grade 11 ply for 25$ a sheet but the guy (cabinet man I know) said I would have to wait a couple weeks. Went with the mdf. 2 full sheets on that box and 1/2 sandply for the platform faces. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  23. Just tossing an update on this. Built my platform. Still have to put the sides on it and building box now to house the 2 15s. Gonna be sweet. Going to clean up that hanging sub wire once the new box is in. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  24. I gotcha now. I derped the **** out lol. Thank you for explaining that. Thought that was engine rpm. had it bass ackwards Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
  25. If a 12 second car doesn't have enough balls, I'm sorry to hear that. LOL I guess I just took it as zl1, you must be speaking ss. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2
