  1. Replacing the pump when changing the gaskets isn't necessary, but for me would be piece of mind due to age and having close to 100k. Keep in mind that not all aftermarket pumps are created equal as some members here have found out the hard way. Some aftermarket onesw in fact are real pieces of crap. Spending the extra money on the AC Delco pump again to me is just piece of mind...
  2. Dual springs are not necessary with a 228R, too much unnecessary stress on the valvetrain...... +1 for PAC 1218's....

  7. As stated, the OE GM 3 part metal shim gaskets are best. Make sure to soak your old manifold bolts with WD40 or PB Blaster for a day or two before attempting to remove them. No air tools!
  8. Which seal would that be? There's more than one.... There are a multitude of leaks that can occur, I believe my truck has had them all. Where is the drip coming from?
  9. Our trucks parts were made in the states, the trucks were assembled in Canada, but weren't the finishing touches like the cladding installed back in the states? Does Wheel to Wheel sound familiar to anyone?
  10. Guys, please curb the swearing from here on out. You can get your thoughts and opinions across without the obscenities. The foul language will now be removed from this thread...
  11. A test run here on these boards a few years ago showed that the K&N made the most horsepower, the AEM flowed the most air....
  12. Guys, let's move on with this topic and stop bickering, or it will be closed......
  13. Let's get back on track with this topic here guys.....
  14. Sounds like TC clutch is toast, pray that it didn't send clutch material into the trans. If so, plan on a rebuild too......
  15. FYI, the E3 plugs have a past history on these boards of causing misfires when used in LQ9s. Keep your eye on them....
  16. Check out my ancient build thread, "Cam Swap on a Budget"......
  17. Sorry to hear the news....where did the line come loose from??
