Dual springs are not necessary with a 228R, too much unnecessary stress on the valvetrain......
+1 for PAC 1218's....

Looks like someone took it to Midas for a cheap, quick fix to me.....

I despise ADT.
Couldn't agree more, having worked in the industry for 11 years prior to my current career. Just because they are a large nationwide company, doesn't mean they are the best. There are many good smaller companies out there, check your yellowpages and get some comparable estimates....

Count Cheri and I in!

Possible clogged cat....are yours the originals?

Time to head to a transmission shop, a leak from that area could be a failing torque converter, or leaking front pump/pump seal. A good trans shop should be able to pinpoint the source....

As stated, the OE GM 3 part metal shim gaskets are best. Make sure to soak your old manifold bolts with WD40 or PB Blaster for a day or two before attempting to remove them. No air tools!
-
If its just a leak more than likely its the seal. No need to take apart the trans.
Which seal would that be? There's more than one....
There are a multitude of leaks that can occur, I believe my truck has had them all. Where is the drip coming from?
-
Not really but I am wondering where they are. I haven't seen them heckle anybody lately.
Just trolling for some activity, carry on.

Our trucks parts were made in the states, the trucks were assembled in Canada, but weren't the finishing touches like the cladding installed back in the states? Does Wheel to Wheel sound familiar to anyone?

Totally False. K&n has crap flow numbers
A test run here on these boards a few years ago showed that the K&N made the most horsepower, the AEM flowed the most air....

Guys, let's move on with this topic and stop bickering, or it will be closed......

Sounds like TC clutch is toast, pray that it didn't send clutch material into the trans. If so, plan on a rebuild too......
-
FYI, the E3 plugs have a past history on these boards of causing misfires when used in LQ9s. Keep your eye on them....

Replacing the pump when changing the gaskets isn't necessary, but for me would be piece of mind due to age and having close to 100k. Keep in mind that not all aftermarket pumps are created equal as some members here have found out the hard way. Some aftermarket onesw in fact are real pieces of crap. Spending the extra money on the AC Delco pump again to me is just piece of mind...
