  1. Nice progress! Take your time with the tuning...you know it has alot on the table yet. Glad she is running strong. Maybe I missed it however are you spraying meth at these levels?

for sure on the tuning...have about 10 hours into it so far. I have a friend at LG Motorsports doing most of my tuning, so when he has time is when we tune, i have never done 3bar

Meth is on the 2 stage controller but with only 8psi im just using the 1st stage and not much at all, just the small 250 nozzle. I don't want to rely on meth as a fuel compensation but as a means to cool down the IAT's and allow me to run a little more timing and thats it

  2. well threw it on the dyno...still working the tune but at 8psi with the afr still at 10.0 and 9* of timing it made 470....tried pulling 9psi and it made 510 but started running out of fuel at 4900rpm...so looks like it's time to put another walbro in there....gonna do a little breaking in on the 8psi for right now and get some times this next weekend...keeping it safe also over the next week...will post track numbers next saturday!

  3. I was reading the manual about NOS and it says DON'T RUN NOS WITH A PERFORMANCE CHIP OR OTHER DEVICES THAT ADVANCE IGNITION TIMING! so obviously its gunna ping like crazy... but i KNOW some of you guys are running NOS with chips and commpresion boosters. how do you avoid the ping?

really you need to read up on how nitrous works some more....the makers wouldnt put that specific warning on there just for chits and grins....now with that said, most chips put your timing at 30+ degrees which is way to much even just on motor....a chip is a waste of time and money....pull the chip out and throw it away go get a tune and read up some more on nitrous and keep from blowing your motor up....

  4. You will only be in boost if your motor is loaded. you can be at 6000 rpm with no boost if there is no load on the motor, this is unlikely though. The difference is that the motor will transition into boost very easly depending on the load of the motor.

and thats what nitrous is for

but seriously though....i made sure i would have no problem getting into boost fast with the build and making sure i could put a good load on the turbo or else i would stay with a lower gear

Here is the intake pipe freshly painted...thanks to Will for giving me the pipe and to Louis for making all the adjustments it needed for me to put it on there :D

  5. Still got the 10 bolt for now...will go to a 9" when it blows but i got all the good stuff in it right now

The short block is a new block, the guy i bought it from had the motor built for his FRC vette he was going to do a TT on but then hey decided to go with a 6 bolt head and a 434 LSX so he cut me a hell of a deal on the motor.

The Vic Jr is staying on the motor for good, i like how well the carb style nitrous plate works and i also like the looks of the intake....we will see how the numbers come out.

i want the 3.23 gear to load the crap out of the turbo, that and i went with a th400 so i have one less gear...the 4.10's cruise 70mph at about 3400rpm and that means i would cruise in boost...dont sound cheap...i will still drive my truck to events and on the weekends. I run a 31.5" tire for the everyday street and a 28 MT for the track.

I just ordered my 2 stage snow meth kit and it will be here tomorrow...fuel cell is being built also and sometime next month i will be going to a twin walbro setup and putting the fuel cell in

  6. How do you like the KB racing hot pipes?quality wise?

i only got the log manifold but i like it....nice thick, looks very strong and also came with the v-band for the crossover.....cant beat his price either and turn around was only 2 days to have it made and shipped out to me

  7. i got a fuel cell being built for it now, going to run a nice magnafuel inline pump with a -10an feedline and a -8an return, already have the fuel rails and going to run the nitrous off the FPR

I did go to 2wd, truck before all of this weighed in at 5,425lbs and now weighs 4,880lbs and thats full weight both times. I got the DS made locally at Drivetrain of Mesquite, it's .095 thick walled steel with solid u joints and the upgraded carrier bearing

  8. well as some of you guys know i muffed the twin turbo idea for now and went with a single do to my finances not being able to afford the twins and me being to impatient and not wanting to wait another 6 months to a year till i could afford it so here are the specs of the setup

  9. Well, I don't have the means or the time to track down an AWD dyno.

you dont need to track down a AWD dyno, you will be fine making some dyno runs with the front driveshaft pulled, i have done it many times for numerous pulls and never had a single problem as well as many others on the board

  10. Got mine yesterday as well....better quality then i expected and already at the paint shop, my painter is a little under the weather but said i might have it and the bumper cover back tomorrow...doubtful im thinking mid next week but its no biggie im putting the turbo on the truck so its not going anywhere for a week or 2

  11. as far as the hardware goes, lowes has everything you need. The have the plastic inserts for the main tailgat epiece, you'll have to drill out factory holes 1 size bigger, pop the rivets in, and then use m6X1.00 body bolts(look in the automotive bin in hardwre section) they have gm factory looking bolts without the factory price. As for the side wings, I got washers, lockwashers and nuts, all stainless of course, to mount to the stud. Once you make the braket up, you can simply use whatever bolts you would like to bolt it to the bed, and then use a speed nut on the extended part of the braket to secire a bolt to. Here's a parts list for the hardware I used:

    Side Wings:

    Hex Stainless Nuts m6X1.00

    Stainless Split Lockwasher 6mm

1/4x1 Stainless Fender Washers ( I used one on each side, and then one on the extended bracket, fits the opening perfectly)

    Main Spoiler:

    Nylon Anchor Nut P/n 138672 x 10

    Body Bolts M6X1.00 P/n 138935 X 10

1" x 50" Heavy duty outdoor 3m double sided tape.

I used 10nylon nuts and body bolts b/c i drilled the backside of the tailgate also. hope this helps. if it helps, i may be able to go to lowes and pick up needed hardware for kits and ship them if that helps.

you have any pics of this install by any chance?

  12. i dont believe you cause i had some badass tuning also with a 2 stage plate coming out on a 125 shot hitting a 2nd stage almost instantly with another 75 for a 200 total and weight out so where i weighed 5,045lbs and still only went 11.88 hooking cutting a 1.60 60'

i also had headers, e-fans, tru trac, moser axles, and didnt have PnP heads yet or the tbss intake, on all that the truck made 519rwhp...

it just doesnt add up unless your truck weighed about 4,600lbs tops
