FINAL ROLL CALL

Recommended Posts

I just got back, left LV at about 2 and then went and shopped at the outlet malls at the state line til about 6. Got about 9 miles from the Cajon Pass and hit traffic at a complete stop. I'm tired, worn out, sweaty, hung over, married and HAPPY!! I had a TON of fun at the track, and SO much fun in Vegas. HUGE thanks to Cody and Andrea for puttin this together, and thanks you guys for coming to my wedding! And thanks to skc, cody and dylan who taught me how to do the 1/4 mile, I'm hooked now, :D I have pics from the track, but I'm too tired to post them right now so I'll do it tomorrow.

P.S. Go AROUND the purple car!!!! ;)

Congrats Wicked! I hope you signed a pre-nup for the truck... your new hubby seems rather attached to it. :jester:

I'm surprised we didn't see you at the outlet mall... the wife and I stopped there from about 1-4:00 and did some shopping too... my wallet hurts!

It was great seeing the familiar faces and meeting everyone else... wish we could've spent more time together, but it seemed like everyone had fun and got a chance to visit with family while they were there.

Chris: thanks for being our "tour guide" to the track and next time you better hope I don't cut a better light! Sorry I didn't make the party at your place, but something tells me you guys had fun without me

Jesse: it was great meeting you... sorry we didn't get more time to talk... but I'm sure we'll all be doing something like this again soon.

Doug: you have a gorgeous truck (even though its black :P ) hope you, the wife, and your kid had fun. It was nice meeting you... hope we'll see you again soon.

Cody & the gang: thanks for the time you put in getting this organized... I had alot of fun. It was really thoughtful of you to bring a tow vehicle with you :jester: I hope you put that $80 to good use... next time you're the lead vehicle.

BAD NEWS: when I got home I decided to take a look at my tranny fluid (slippage seemed rather bad at the track and even worse on the way home) and to my disappointment theres ALOT of metalic junk floating in the fluid... more than normal... not sure what I'm gonna do about that. On top of that the squeaking I was hearing from the front suspension is the CV boot as I suspected... oh well... at least she made it home in one peice :tear:

ALL IN ALL it was a good trip... I came out of the casinos about $700 up... but then spent about $1300 shopping at the bellagio and venitian. :sigh:

Hope eveyone made it home safe and thanks again to everyone!

Glad to see everybody made it home safely. I'll post what pics I took sometime tonight, I was in bad shape :puke: all day yesterday. Dylan, maybe we can run 14's together in Cali sometime, but like you said your gonna have to cut a better light :driving: . I hope you get tranny issues worked out, hope it's nothing serious. Wicked congrats on the wedding, and I'm glad I could help you on your new addiction (racing). I'm glad Jesse, Rob, Cody and Andrea made it over for a few  . I wished we could of gotten all the trucks together for some pics but I knew most of you wanted to do the Vegas thing. It was nice to finally see some SSS other than mine. Jesse will get my vote for best looking SSS out of the group that I had seen, I think I have a thing for Silver Birch now.

P.S. Did anybody run faster than a 15.345 @ 88.80?\

Nice sig Dylan, I see it didn't take long to put the new wheels in. :D

15.3 oh no, no one broke 15?

Not at 2200'. I always thought there was something wrong with my SS because of my times but this meet proved that wrong. I think 56chevywagon ran a 14.88 in California but ran a 15.6 up here. I think me and Dylan had the best times at or below 15.4's. So if I was to do some math I could assume that I would run 14.3-14.5 at lower elevation. :dunno:

That sounds about right. At Fontana I was running mid-high 14's... but Vegas was fun anyways.
