chiketkd
Awesome run! That 60' time is the same that I got with my 2000 L when I ran 13.9 in the 1/4. Your SS was moving! Car & Driver got a similar time when they tested the SS. Besides taking the revs up to 2000 rpms, did you do anything else on launch? BTW, your trap speed was sweet! sslover
hmmm the ss in car and driver was black and mine is black could the black ones be quicker?
chiketkd
Black definitely is the best color! Sweet run. If you put the shifter in '3' would your times have been any different? (wouldn't the ECU cause the truck to shift at redline when it detects WOT)

zippy
looks like she pulled pretty hard at the high end. any weight reduction? tailgate up, down?
blackhawk
Great times there, no mods except the MAF screen and a bit of weight reduction?? Your truck maybe running a bit stronger from not having adjusted to the MAF screen being pulled out and only having 600miles thus far, just a guess? blackhawk
MAF Screen...is removing it worth it...? This has been discussed before and I think it was pretty well determined that the screen is there for a reason to protect your intake from F.O.D. Who know what you could possibly suck through, pieces of intake filter…anything. There are a couple of after market MAF’s out there, granati (sp?) is one of them; I would think that would be the smart route to take.
rico750sxi
Motor Trend did a fast time with a Blue one!! Although Truck Trend did a pretty poor time with a Red one. Hmmm......Lee any explaination??
