Buyfire
i've had many jumps of about 15-20' in length in my old escort, 60 mph e-brake grass slides in my SHO, also had a rollover and a slide up to a hardees drive through window in an explorer. never have i dreamed of jumping a tank like an SS. too much weight too many dollars. artval
we become airborne once in a while. I sometimes drive in some ranches and the jeep trails are not too smooth. you'll be going along fine and next thing you know the truck is a couple inches off the ground and you are holding on tight not to hit the ceiling on the way down. Its not intentional but it's a lot of fun. now in my 300zx i've got airborne at the RR tracks by my house in San Antonio. It's a lot of fun. that thing will FLY! It's old, so i just use it to have fun in. I don't think i would do that in the SS though.
XGMTech
I was just wondering if any one has that their SS in the air with all 4 off the ground. i was fooling around putting the fear of god in one of my buddys and i went across a set of RR tracks going up hill and i had to try it so i turned around in a parking lot and hit it and away we went. was probably in the air for a sec but it felt alot longer. the suspension landed soft and didn't bounce at all. i was impressed. my last silverado Z71 would bounce down the road. I shudder to think about that happening to my beloved $42,000 sport truck. I have enough trouble with my wife, who still doesn't completely understand that an SS is something special... it's a sport truck that I do my best to take good care of - NOT a U-Haul to move everybody's furniture, or a dump truck to haul rocks, dirt, gravel, and landscape materials in. BIG BEAR
I HAD A "69" MUSTANG MACH 1 WITH A 428 COBRA. I JUMPED A 2 LANE HIGHWAY AND LANDED ABOUT 25 TO 30 FEET UP THE ROAD PAST THE INTERSECTION. AFTER CLEANING OUT MY PANTS, I HAD TO REPLACE THE FLY WHEEL AND THE OIL PAN. It's not????? I've hauled dirt, rocks, dogs, family stuff for vacation; helped my mother move, and put her antiques in the back. Towed a boat. All sorts of things. that's why I sold the vette. With a few thousand $$$ I can get good performance, and still haul sH!t around! And take the family. Now, if I can figure out how to cut the roof off and get a convertable, we will be in business!
