SSMANIAC
Will if you get the Huevos, I'll be heading up Randall road.... "huevos", eggs? What do eggs have to do with anything? Huevos = cojones = balls = testicles = "power"
SilveradoSS04
Yea, and dodge 5.9 r/t = no huevos and no power
chevy38fan
with a few mods those r/ts can be in the low 15's... i know of a specific 01 4.7 that's in the mid 15's.. with only a cold air intake and stainless steel exhaust.. an r/t with the same is probably low 15's high 14's... SilveradoSS04
I read an article where they took a stock 5.9 r/t and tested it. 15.8 in the 1/4. They then spent $4,000 on the truck, which included a cam, intake manifold, cold air intake, exhaust, headers, a cpu tune, and I think a set of heads (not sure on those). Anyway, after they were all done, the truck ran a 14.8 Real impressive. The trucks are decent, but not a powerhouse. Just my opinion
chevy38fan
yeah, good point. its more of a torque motor than a HP motor. it has a fairly low HP number. unlike the 4.7 where it has more power higher in the band. funny though how a 4.7 can keep with an r/t? converted
A buddy's 00 rt with a cold air kit and flowmaster eahaust ran a 15.12 @ gainseville last nov so I guess those mods sound about right for the times. He was pissed he got spanked by a 4 door
