Just hold your head up, be positve and strong (not always easy) You and your family will be in my prayers. What caused your mother to be put into ICU? I went through a similar situation last year right before xmas where my mother had a severe stroke. And I tell you what, if anyone is behind you for support its the guys here whether you know all of us or not. Best of luck and keep us updated on here condition. drako Posted January 29, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) First and foremost I would like to sincerly thank everyone here. Yesterday morning things were not looking good. However she has made progress and a bit of a turnaround that has brought everyones spirts up. She came in for an infection in the kidneys, but everything just got worse as time went on. Kidneys got better but then due to dialysis her heart started to weaken and then they found water in her lungs. Finally they stuck the tube down her throat, she has been concious through this whole thing but it was just seemed that every day we got some good news it would make a 180 later on. Today they removed the tube after we got some legal work in the way. She is doing MUCH better without the thing down her throat. Breathing on her own and sleeping now. We have been going a little crazy but it was nice to hear her voice again and I just needed to vent out a bit of my emotions. Again thank you to everyone I am in a much better mood, but I know we are not out of the woods.
