llord
Boy, it's been a long time coming! I bought the kit in Dec, I think. I haven't had the time to install until now. I have to say that Magnuson makes a complete kit. Everything, and I mean everything was included. They even fronted (thanks Bob) me a new blower when I finally pulled the original out of the box to find the intake mating flange completely manged on one side. A quick inspection found that the box was dropped on it's side allowing the S/C to slide out of the foam packing and mangle the shit out of it. UPS is sending an investigator to look at it next week. She fired on the first try! The shakedown run reveals no bouncing betties thus far. Perhaps I'm a bit spoiled driving a Z06, but she feels a bit soft...even with the Nelson Tuning (Allen, I'll get that core back to you this week). I need to install a boost gage. Nelson tuning, 3" wheel, Supermaxx LT and Corsa
slimsoftball
That's a nice list of goodies you got there. I have the SuperMaxx system on the way as well. Congrats on the install and welcome to the club.
BenKey
Congrats! What did you mean soft - in the shift maybe?
zippy
well, a Z06 is a touch faster. i really think you'll like the supermax/corsa combo with that blower.
blownchevy
You have to remember that the ZO6 is lighter too! Congrats on the Radix, you will love that coupled with that Nelson tune! A++ Set up!
Farmtruc
Hmm, I'll need you to ship the truck down to me so I can inspect it. It's for the best. lol. see ya online, allen
llord
Ben, When I said soft, I meant that the truck doesn't feel as powerful as maybe it should. I definitely pulls ALOT harder. I haven't nailed it off line yet as I want to break it in a bit as well as install the shift kit but my assessment thus far is that it probably won't chirp off the line. I need to throw a boost gage on. Can anyone recommend one?
blownchevy
MagnaCharger makes a nice one :
MustBBrent
But that one doesn't match the SS internal gauges. You need the Cobalt 2 series, I think. It's been a while since I looked. Made by Auto Meter.
blownchevy
If you want white the autometer phantom series is nice too. We install them where the SS logo and the airbag switch is.
Farmtruc
You may be getting some belt slippage, installing a boost gauge is a good idea, let me know if there's anything i can do for you, thanks for the update, allen
SPEEDCRAVIN
If you are getting belt slippage? I spoke to a guy with a red SS (can't remember who that was) earlier this year at the **DALLAS TUNE RALLY** and he had the Radix kit and he said he cured his belt slippage by installing the Goodyear Gatorback belt. llord
Once I get the boost gauge on there, I should have a direction to pursue.
