SCSSilverado
Hey, vdrumright, could you tell me where you got the 42lb. injectors from? I've got a Powerdyne ready to bolt on my 2004 SS (using a Predator tuner.) I have a set of injectors from Fast, but am being told by my Chevrolet dealer (who is installing them for me) that they are not for the 6.0 N engine that is in my Silverado. They're telling me the 6.0 N is a marine-style engine that is a little different than the 6.0 U engines common to other models. Where can I get the correct 42-pounders? styleandspeed
Does anyone really know what these powerdyne blowers will max out at as fas as hp is concerned? I e-mailed powerdyne, and they told me the max of their BD-11 head unit was 850 cfm. I was also looking at vortech's site, and their s-q trims specs are Fits engines up to 680 horsepower Maximum airflow: 1,000 CFM * Maximum boost pressure: 20 PSI * So if the powerdyne flows a MAX of 850 cfm, and it's max PSI is about 9 pounds, where would it max out at? This is assuming that they told me correctly at powerdyne. I just want to make sure before any decisions are made that I know exactly what I would be getting myself into. I don't really want a blower that is going to max out at less than 500hp (for my long term goals). I am also wondering if anyone knows of any cars or trucks running a powerdyne that are getting over 420-430 at the wheels? I am leaning away from them because they will probably max out below what I really want as far as power, but that still won't keep me from trying to find out for sure. SCSSilverado
Powerdyne told me that I should be looking at 505HP at the flywheel (no other mods). My unit is 7psi.

xtremes10
Just a question? Why did you go with PowerDyne?
SCSSilverado
Thanks for the link, BenKey. Those are the ones that Racetronix referred me to as well. My conflict here is that my Chevrolet dealer also called Racetronix and was told the injectors require modifications to the fuel rail and wiring harness because they are taller than the OEM injectors. vdrumright, thanks for the reply. Could you confirm whether you had to modify anything to get the injectors to work? Are these the same injectors you used?: Part Number 17113739 (OE Part # 25176061)? The link to them at Racetronix is here. Thanks again for the help. extremes10, not sure if the question was directed to me or not, but I chose the Powerdyne for two reasons: (1) price and (2) bolt-on. I would like to have a kenne Bell, but don't want to void the warranty by removing the intake. I had a Powerdyne on my 2001 Silverado and it screamed. My conflict here is that my Chevrolet dealer also called Racetronix and was told the injectors require modifications to the fuel rail and wiring harness because they are taller than the OEM injectors. Well then Racetronix is confused on which injector you need. The injectors in that link are the Multec II injectors, or OE Delphi 42lb 8.1L Marine injectors. They require no modification to either the fuel rail, or the connectors. Trust me. If they were a standard LS1 style connector, they would be longer and have a different style connector, therefore requiring modification of both fuel rail and connectors. Then - Racetronix would be correct.
