GI.SS
the ls3 is a nice unit if can be had cheap. Im not 100% sure its a true 90 tho. I have zero experience with the regulator. (mines in the tank) shoot fullcircle a pm. hes done the swap as wel land can give you definitive answers on that.
shadowsniper3006
i use a magnafuel reg. Because thats what i had, aeromotive will work the exact same. http://www.magnafuel.com/products/efi/regulators/MP-9940-B.htm our fuel pressure is 58 psi mine is a 2 port with 1:1 boost ref. but mine is capped off it may be easier to do some research on this site and find out how guys have made the stock rails work like said above. Running new lines and adapting to the stock fuel lines may sound cool, but kinda a pain. Unless you want to cut the stock lines and use a compression fitting with an AN fitting. I have adapters because i didn't want to cut the stock lines, and it makes space pretty tight.
Mr.Scary
if you want to not cut the stock fuel lines, and use the tbss fuel rails, you can always use adapters like these http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.asp?ic=411%2D640930&eq=&Tp= http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.asp?ic=411%2D640690&eq=&Tp= http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.asp?ic=411%2D640940&eq=&Tp= basically get the right ones.. http://www.racetronix.biz/index.asp and of course... there's the ever popular http://www.russellperformance.com/mc/adapt_fit/fuel-efi.shtml so you can get some fuel lines made .. or buy em the right length.. put an after market FPR on it, use the right adepters and be done with it pretty easily. or get the stock rails cut and adapted.. either way.. chawkins6789
I want to know what to do with the right valve cover when I install mine. I really don't want to drill my intake tube

chawkins6789
Yea for PCV. That is the part I am hung up on. I have almost everything else to get this done
canadianVRss
Drilling the intake tube really isn't that bad for the passenger side valve cover. I drilled my aluminium CAI tube, the tapped it with a npt tap and put in a npt fitting that the hose goes right on to. Just be very very careful tapping and threading in the fitting, wether it be a aftermarket intake of aluminium or plastic, or just the stock set up. It's going to be touchy. I put some thread sealant on the threads as well. Haven't had a problem with it.
chawkins6789
I have a plastic tube and also I need it to look somewhat hidden because of emissions
chawkins6789
If I went the route of drilling the tube what size fitting and hose do I use?
12'SROCK
This how i routed mine. Drilled the tube with a step bit and use a grommet and brass barbed fitting.
chawkins6789
This how i routed mine. Drilled the tube with a step bit and use a grommet and brass barbed fitting. How does that intake tube pass smog? I doubt a grommet will work for me because I have a plastic tube from Volant.
12'SROCK
It doesn't
chawkins6789
Will the GMT-900 MAF plug into the 04 harness? I am looking at running a 08 Volant system to make it look right if it will plug in. Just an idea
GI.SS
i run a breather cap on the passenger side with a check valve installed. cap off the valvecover tube (PS SIDE) theres your fresh air. ds goes from valvecover to catchcan to intake manifold. simple yet effective. theres more than one way to pull fresh air.
