I am having all the hardware removed out of my ankle tomorrow from when I broke it a year ago. So. My install is delayed a week or two.

But. Here is some porn for you guys.

This thing is just teasing me!!

Yeah one of you AWD guys, when your all done, needs to put some slicks on all 4 and take Chase's record down.

I will have 4 drag radials on mine, but I don't think it will beat Chase's record. At least I'm not expecting it too.

If you can cut a good 60' I think you could beat his ET. The MPH will probably be a little harder to beat.

It will be exciting to see what my truck does. I got some caltracs from GI.SS. And I think I have an idea on how to strap the front end for this summer. But next summer I will have Atomic's coil over front setup done and that should really help.

I'm so excited. You guys have NO idea. Besides Brandon's, this should be one of the fastest street trucks in town.

Looks great dude! People are gonna drool at the car shows. That motor looks badass! Only thing that's gonna make it better is that massive front mount turbo that will be spoolin next to it. The icing on the cake.

Thing is gonna be insanely mean!

:peelout:

I'll be back in 2weeks and the 3 of us are gonna have to buckle down and get shit done! Would be nice to get one cruise in before snowfall.

Good thing my truck is slow. I will be able to answer all the questions the mustang owners will have after you two destroy them lol.

Looking real good, it should definitely put out a good numbers at the track. Looking for 10's?

Honestly? No. But if it happens I'll just smile bigger. I have an odd feeling I'm going to get to a point. Where I just start tearin parts to pieces. I just don't know where that will be yet. But I think we might find out.

Well lets just hope its not any of the performance parts that your tearing apart lol, atleast donate them to me before it gets to that point lol

And goodluck with the surgery, hopefully all comes out well. And I don't see why this setup wouldn't run bottom 11's, and depending on how serious you wanna get even 10's. I would love to get my hands on a set of heads like those

Maybe zippy will see this over here and chime in. I was getting ready to order a 3 bar map sensor. BUT no I am wondering if I will need it.

What kinda hp you guys think this thing should make on 2bar of boost? I'm guessing around 850. But I'm optimistic.

I would get a 2.5 bar map. I bought mine from david steck and it works perfectly. I ll be trying out atomic's coilover conversion soon as well but the limiting straps helped me alot. I see no reason why you couldn't be in the 10's.

Just curious. Why would you do a 2.5 bar map instead of a 3 bar map? If I remember right with my ecm you have the same resolution with the 2 bar custom os vs. 3 bar custom os using hptuners? So what is the advantage of the 2.5bar? I hear a lot about them.

I am definitely going to do the coilover conversion this winter. I only have two months of summer left up here and I still have to put my truck together. I am hoping to have my truck done and partially tuned by the end of july. The last drag races are the last weekend of august. And I still have to haul my truck 400 miles down there to the track.

I always heard the 2.5 map bar had better resolution. I was just saying at least use a 2.5map to make sure you had a little extra room in case you wanted to run a little higher boost. I doubt you ll run over 21psi so I didn't see a need for a 3bar. I've always been told to run a map sensor that matchs the level of boost you wanted to run.

  • 3 weeks later...

Been a while since I got an update. Been down for a little while and then crazy busy at work.

Brandon came over and helped me at lunch time today and helped me guide the motor in. So it is in and bolted in at least.

The intake is just sitting on top for the pic. Still working on a few things before I bolt that down.
