These guys don't think about "what if the strap breaks?" That's an easy $600-$1k in damages.... tailgate, bumper, paint, fenders, light etc etc... I've been burnt by hindsight too many times to do this stuff anymore....

$640 a month here for the SS... V-Rod is an easy 300-400 a month. My R6 was 182 a month and it was only $8K financed.

Voted. Regardless of my opinion on religion, I HATE when a minority tries to take advantage of a "push over" government that's afraid to say "Go Fcck Yourselves!". So I'll say it for them! And that's for all issues... Race, Sex, Religion and otherwise. You have your rights to feel, act, and live as you wish... DON'T try to push it on everyone just to make waves!

I have a local machine shop that I've been talking to about engraving stock rotors with the SS logo. IF enough people are interested we may be able to get them cheaper. It'd be about 6 3" long "SS" logo's engraved on an angle (in such the way that they'd be functional to vent gasses) on each rotor. Let me know... I think it'd be a good idea. I'm going to have a set done regardless if we do a group buy or not. Rotors at NAPA were $42 (if I recall correctly) and price on the engraving depends on quantity.

Yeah, when my truck got hit by a mattress (lol, long story, $7k in damage) the most expensive part was the side mirror (almost $600). And the body shop put the wrong mirror on (one tints, one doesn't).

Congrats! Plan on not sleeping! The trick is to rock/sing/whatever them to sleep in separate rooms, then move them to the cribs (if they share a room).

Congrats man. I love my DD almost as much as my SS... A set of nice wheels and silverstar headlights will make the Denali look like a whole new truck... that's the only thing keeping it from looking like a new $70K luxury SUV! Lol, I know, you just got it and we've already spent more of your money for you... I'd spend my own but I'm broke... Nice ride man...

Bought it at 31K.... just turned 107K (changed the pads at about 105K)... so AT LEAST 76K miles on one set.... I'm not sure when the last time they were changed (if ever) before I bought the truck from the dealership. Okay, must be paranoid... For some reason I thought they'd only last about 30K miles... guess it's okay. I do a lot of highway driving too... makes sense. Thanks.

If my pads seem to be lasting too long, is there a chance I'm missing out on stopping power? Maybe calipers not set right? I know that sounds like a complaint of "the gold's too heavy", but I'd rather change them more often and stop better. I'm dumb as a brick when it comes to brakes so any info or opinion would be great... How many miles do you get from a set on your SS? How would you rank your stopping power?

Sorry to hear it brother. Agree on the GAP coverage. I'm way upside down on my truck KBB/Payoff. So so sorry to hear it. You better stay around! If you don't, how else will you keep up-to-date on what to do with your next one??? With all your SS experience, you can cherry pick the perfect one next time! Credit is due here... Props to 'El Compa Lalo' for being able to say he got what he deserved and not turning it into a race issue. And for being able to acknowledge it as a (in my opinion) race driven attack (if the skateboarders weren't a group of whites, I don't think it would have happened).
