  1. Anyone have a theme song for their truck? The kind of song that comes on and you just have to roll down the windows and put on the ear-to-ear grin? So far mine's been Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution by AC/DC, but since my truck is going to be an all new animal after I get it back, I don't know if that'll stick...

    Anyone else?

  2. Duh. Get a kit that does all the colors (from www.plasmaglow.com or similar), and choose the one you like and keep it. I have plasmaglow's 2.1 million color kit... Haven't installed it yet... It's LED so I'm a little scared of how the bright the light output is going to be, so I'm waiting until I buy a second kit and I'm going to rig them all together...

  3. Well, here's the recent news:

I told my insurance company that I wanted to be there when the adjuster came to look at me truck, but of course that didn't happen... I had the truck moved down to a shop called the Diamond Collision Center (in Pocasset, MA). A couple of my friends are tow truck drivers and auto body specialists and they said that this place is the best bet in a couple hundred miles. I called them and within 5 minutes of being on the phone with them they had dispatched a flatbed to go get my baby... I went down to visit them (about a 40 minute drive), and got to talk to them about have nice Ram Air hood installed (I love the twin-scoop Good Hood, but am absolutely not going with a fiberglass hood, so I'm looking for a good steel one...), a nice billet grille, some stripes (blue ones, I've yet to decide on shade or style though), and a nicer headlight setup (see my other post about projectors)... Best of all of this is that my insurance company is going to end up paying for it... I haven't received my copy of the appraisal yet, so I don't know exactly how much damage was done, but at least the truck wasn't declared totaled.

Moral of the story: I should be back on the road in about a month or so...

  4. While my truck is in the body shop from my accident (which, btw, the state is pressing charges against the drunk driver for , go taxachusetts  ), I'm having the body shop hook me up with a ram air hood, chrome grille, and new headlights... I remember reading somewhere that Projectors and HID kits don't mix because somehow the halos get screwed up... I searched the site but I couldn't find anything definative... Does anyone have a Projector Halo setup (like JDM's) mated with nice HID kit?

  5. Beautiful boat you got there... I'd kill myself in something like that...

Hopefully within two or three years I'll be trading in my 2002 22" Bombardier for an early 90's 40" Baja 420ES... Then I'll have to buy another dually to tow it... Can't wait!!

  6. I was thinking about that too, but if you get pulled over with one in MA and the cops see it... They're merciless with the ticket... So I want it to be fairly well hidden from view...

Since it's a V1 I could hide it totally from view and get the remote for it... anyone done that?

  7. I'm thinking about taking my V1 out of my other truck and putting it in the SS (after I get it back from the body shop from my accident :banghead::banghead: ), and I was curious how everyone mounted it... I know that the V1 needs to be up high and be able to look out both the windshield and the back window... I'm thinking about building it into that little tray up on the headliner (under the courtesy lights)... Anybody have theirs permanently mounted somewhere creative?

Post pics if you've got them please...

  8. bummer man. I hate drunk driver's with a passion. My dad and I were hit by one head on when I was nine, I've had neck and back problems since then.... so it should be 11 years in August.

Its good to know you're not seriously injured, and like FireRescueSS said, the truck can be fixed/replaced alot easier than you can. In my opinion, any vehicle that can hold together in a collision and the driver can walk away from with little or no injuries has done its job, which most vehicles do. i've seen some cars that people should have walked away from, but didnt, because they weren't wearing their seat belts, and I have yet to see an accident where if someone hadn't been wearing their seat belt, they would have survived... it just doesn't happen.

how did the other people come out of the accident?

One of the other drivers (the one who was in front of me and got hit by the drunk driver) got a broken nose and some facial burns from the airbag and went to the hospital for it (nothing too serious), and the woman who caused all this I don't really know... We yelled at her at the top of our lungs for a while and then the cops came and moved her to the other side of the scene... The only one that died was the woman's yellow lab, which went from the back seat into the windshield, and then had a heart attack... Out of everyone in the accident I feel the worst for it

Thanks for the support guys... I'm going down to the police station today to file the statement, and then over to the "secured facility" where my truck is ("" <- are there because even though the public can't get in, the employees steal stuff right out of your car and play the "what? that wasn't there" game)... I'll keep you all updated...
