  1. That thing is pretty impressive! And even though it is a machine its still funny to watch it slipping on the ice!
  2. I think you handled the situation the best way possible. I don't know what the Z driver was thinkin though cause where Im from the fine for drag racing is way worse then the fine for just a speeding ticket, so that is just stupid to try and convince the officer that you were racing.
  3. Well guys, I'm looking at buying a new house and my only real requirement is that it has to have a two car garage that is deep enough for me to put my truck in there. I was wondering how deep some of your guys garages are and how much extra room you have to work on your truck while its in the garage?
  4. All very good points, that is why I had my truck tuned about a month after I got my shift kit installed.
  5. I think the reason that most people want them out is because they don't realize how it is actually gonna ride. You have to be ready to say goodbye to seamless shifting cause even just cruising around you will def. be able to feel each time your truck shifts. And when your on the throttle, the whole truck almost jumps if you have a tune too. It's def. not a mod for everybody, but I love mine, puts a smile on my face everytime I stomp the pedal.
  6. I'd almost have to agree with SS_Bnoon_SS about cutting the exhaust, it really wouldn't be a bad idea for down the road. I don't know how much it would gain you but, you could possible try unbolting the headers from the heads, and take off some of the hanger brackets. By doing this and jacking up the rear of the trans like Bnoon suggested it might work. But I guess on my truck I am still runnin stock exhaust for the time being so I don't know how feasible that is to do on your system, or how much room that would gain for you. Let us know what happens.
  7. I replied to your PM with what I had to do to get it off, My first time I probably spend just about as much time trying to get the pan off as the rest of the install took. Good luck!
  8. Lately when I drive the truck I've been pretty hard on it. All week I drive my beater around, so when I get a nice day on the weekend its hard to keep the foot off the floor. I don't think I drive like a maniac or anything I just like to drive a little more spirited than most.
  9. I know pics get loaded for this thing quite ofter so I hope this isn't a repost. I tried to do a search and couldn't find any of these pics. But heres a link I found for some pics of a black 5th gen camaro. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3139 Me personally I like the black much better than the white, except the headlights.
  10. Man, if I only had my truck paid off I would definitaly be interested, thats a real sharp lookin boat.
  11. Man, those things are lookin sharp guys! Tough decision again!
  12. Alright thanks for the fast replies guys. I'll be taking it back to the dealer this week.
  13. Sharp looking quad man ! I wish mine was that clean right now, it's so muddy around here it's not hardly even fun to ride.
  14. Ok guys here is my problem. I was driving my truck today and I noticed that when I scrolled through the information on the DIC I was missing most of the info. It didn't have any of the fuel readings for the trip meters, it didn't even have instantaneous MPG. Basically all it had was mileage, overall MPG, oil life, trip A mileage, and trip B mileage. There are two things that I recently did that I think could have caused this the first was today I installed a tuned PCM from Zippy, truck runs great by the way! And the other thing was a week and a half ago I had the gauge cluster replaced under the extended warranty, but I've been driving my beater the whole time cause of the crappy weather so I never noticed if the info was missing after that. Does anybody have any ideas which one it might be, I am thinkin one of these days I might reinstall my old PCM if I have some time to see if that fixes it. But I really miss all the info stored on there. Thanks in advance for the help!
  15. Thats kinda cool to see the smoke rollin of the quad. But I couldn't imagine puttin the tires on my YFZ through that.
  16. So did you finally get them off, and if so do you have any tips or tricks that might help someone that is planning on doing this in the future?
  17. I know that lots of guys have just trimmed there stock bump stops and relocated them to the frame, does anybody have pics of this after it is complete? Also are new shocks a necessity if just going with a 2/2 or will the stock ones work? Don't mean to jack this thread just tryin to get more info.
  18. I was thinkin about doing this too soon, so what are the right part numbers for our trucks?
  19. I just read that a little bit ago, thats awesome!
  20. I think the local parking lots would have some big all wheel drive doughnuts in them if I had the day off and it was that icy!
  21. 03 with 42K on it. Just got a new beater though to help keep em down.
