  1. One question I have is this something that happens all the time or is it only once in a while, and when it finally does shift does it shift hard or does it just ease into second. I think one possibilty is that it could be the cheap plastic 2nd acccumulator piston cracked, which really isn't to bad to fix as long as you catch it before you burn up the band, and destroy the drum like mine did then it gets expensive. Well either way good luck with it , tranny problems suk.
  2. I agree I just picked up a 98 chevy lumina from my dad for basically nothin, has 190,000 miles on it, runs good, saves miles on the SSS and I don't have to worry bout the salt anymore.
  3. Well as much as I dislike the Pats I'm pretty sure there gonna win, they've just been in a whole different league this year. And I do have to admit it would be kinda cool to see a team have a perfect season.
  4. I'd be interested in the PCM if you would are still willing to take 35 for it. If your willing send me a PM about shipping and payment options, I don't know if you use paypals or what?
  5. Just curious all I can see is a red X instead of whatever picture is supposed to be there, and I am wondering what the plan for the meet would be, is there a track there or just hangin out or whats the deal? I am just south of Indy so it's not that bad of a drive and would consider drivin up if it was worth my time.
  6. Hell of a job guys! Just got mine today and it looks awesome! Can't wait to hang it in the cube at work and show off all the rides!
  7. I'd be in either way, should be a good time one thing about the vette tour though, is that gonna be on fri. cause I think I remember somebody posting that they don't have tours on sat. not sure on that though. Even if we do have to share the track it would be sweet to have a big group of SSSs to show off anyways.
  8. LOL Thats awesome man. Nice find! ...

    Nice work on the kill!
  10. What I am refering to with "all the emission stuff" is in model year 07 the epa came out with stricter emissions for diesel engines which basically required that all the manufacturers add a some version of a diesel particulate filter to the exhaust system. Requiring the vehicle to run what is known as a regen once the soot load gets to high, which is basically burning the soot out of the filter. And from what I have heard about these all three of the manufacturers have had there share of problems with these systems early on. But I am sure that some of the programmers out there have come out with ways to eliminate some of these components. I do agree though that the new engines do make substantially more power and the variable vain turbos that are used are much better than the previous wastegated versions. But SSplaytoy if you are planning on a completely custom build none of this emission stuff would really matter to you anyways I guess. So good luck with whatever you do.
  11. Diesels can make a ton of power with just a few easy changes, i.e. marine injectors, intake, exhaust, and tune to turn up the boost can equal big power. But I would be hesitant to buy an 07 diesel with all the new emissions components on there cause all the big three have had there share of problems with these. And there are still limited options out there to eliminate many of these emissions components.
  12. I keep seeing these pics of the white one, but I wish they would get some pics of one that is a different color out there so that you could really see the body lines and see how it's gonna look.
  13. I'm kinda undecided on it so far. I don't really care for the way the grill looks like its tipped forward, tryin to be like the lines of the charger. I just don't think it works as well on the big truck.
  14. Well guys here is my problem. I had a power inverter plugged into the cig. lighter on my SS and it worked for a while then all of a sudden it shut off. Figured it just blew a fuse so I removed to power inverter and once I got home I tried replacing the fuse. Old one was blown but as soon as I put a new one in there it blew as well. I am assuming that something is shorting out but I can't figure out what. I haven't really dug into it yet, but I thought I would ask if anybody else has had this problem and if they have any suggestions where to start looking. Thanks in advance guys.
  15. I just got mine Monday too, before that I had never heard anything about this problem. Guess I must have been livin under a rock or something.
  16. I agree with Big O that they would look better with the black bowtie and grill. But I would say keep em, kinda sets your truck apart from the other blue SSs.
  17. Thats a sharp lookin sled! If I was livin back home in a snowy area I would def. be interested, well good luck on the sale!
  18. I agree on the interior, it is fundamentally the same but it looks like its just made out of real cheap materials that make it look like crap. And I wish I could see a picture of one thats not white so that we could tell it they did actually butcher the nice body lines that it had or if they are just hard to see because of the color. Ohh well if it has over 400+ horse from the factory I'll still roll in one!
  19. It's sad but thats what my truck looks like too right now. I had to drive from Chicago to Indianapolis last night at about 25 mph on the interstate watching car after car sitting in the ditch. Def. gotta give it a bath tonight before that road salt takes it's toll.
  20. Go with the shift kit just got mine back with the vette servo too and I'm loving it.
  21. Well I just got done dealing with this exact same problems. Mine started after I installed my shift kit and the gasket between my valve body and spacer plate had a passage that was the wrong size causing it to leak between two of the passages. Some of the things that I was told to check when I had these issues were to check the 2nd accumulator piston to see if it was cracked, also to check the seals on the 2nd servo to see if they where damaged. Hopefully you have better luck then I had with mine cause I ended up needing an entire rebuild.
  22. In the kit that I got sent it only had one set of gaskets. So since these were the only ones I assumed they were correct. And in the directions it doesn't say anything about being sure to use the correct gaskets so it never even crossed my mind that they were wrong.
