  1. So how hard is it to get an LS2 intake manifold to work on a SSS? Or does it just bolt on???
  2. if you mean the 2 big plastic engine covers that say corvette on em then probably not. They have a whole different intake manifold deal, you could get em on there im sure but it might take some fabrication and probly wont fit right
  3. mine did it too it was really easy to fix- there is a bulletin for it so if youre under warranty a dealer will fix it for free. Just snap off the top part of the plastic interior door panel so you can get to where the seal is glued to the metal, around the rear part of the window- the side with the latch... Snap the latch out of its little clip so you can get some pliers in there without hitting the glass and bend the metal in towards the cab. Start in the middle and work your way up and down really slowly and carefully. Oh yeah- MAKE SURE you wrap a good thick rag or 2 around the pliers so you dont scratch anything. It worked for my windows perfectly and Ive done it to other trucks at work too. I can post pics if my instructions aren't good enough
  4. I have an extra set of factory taillights and the 3rd brake light from my 03 SSS, one tab was kind of broken on the LR taillight but I glued it back together so it works fine. There are a few scratches you can barely see, nothing you cant buff out though... I want $160 shipped for both lights and the 3rd brake light. edit: V1 is sold
  5. did you accidentally start it up before you remembered to plug back in the downstream o2 sensors? If you even unplugged them
  6. I hear that "grinding" noise too from the front end when Im turning at very slow speeds. I think its my bearings cause when I put the lowering spindles on I had to spray so much rust penetrator in there they were completely trashed when I was done. I will replace them eventually I guess even though it doesnt bother me much. I do want to see if it helps my gas mileage though- from the rotational resistance it causes...
  7. put dexron VI in it- I did and it shifts a lot smoother now, you dont have to flush it out just drain it and replace the filter, then fill it back up to level with VI
  8. That would work but the problem is nobody sells just a manifold by itself. You could flip the stock cast iron manifold but then you have to figure out some way to bolt the turbo to it...
  9. yep I used the oem metal gaskets, theyre like $12 each I think
  10. if youre not that much over 36000K they might goodwill it and fix it for free, if not the mirror with leds costs about $200 I think
  11. If I could ever get any time off work I would drive down to fla. It would be more fun during the summer tho
  12. I think I read the new skyline was faster than the c6 zo6, but thats just 0-60 cause its awd... Id still rather have a skyline than a new z06. Having that much power with rwd is just pointless, dont get me wrong its fun as hell anyway
  13. And I thought my 35% windshield tint was dark... damn
  14. A few times a week when I started mine up the abs and parking brake lights would come on in the dash and not go off until I turned off the key and restarted it. Unfortunately it never happened when I was at work so I couldnt plug in the tech2, I searched through the bulletins and found that I just needed to reprogram the bcm so I did and it hasnt happened since. Since youre still under warranty just take it to them and see if they will do that, if they wont I can give you the bulletin # to bring them. It may be something else though cause it wasnt my "service brake system" light that was on
  15. Do a voltage drop test, see what it does after like 30 minutes. Then go drive it to charge it back up and start taking out fuses to see if you can pinpoint the source. Id start with the fuses for the lights
  16. Did you make sure you put the pads on the correct sides of the rotors? Was it hard to slide the caliper back on once you put the pads on the rotor? If you put the pads in the wrong place then they might have been too tight and overheated the rotors and warped them as soon as you started driving.
  17. I got some slotted rotors for the front cause mine were shot, I just bought some cheap ass $40 brake pads from the parts store cause they are supposedly softer and wont tear up the rotors as fast. Its a lot easier and cheaper to change just the pads once or twice a year. Where is the cheapest place to get braided steel lines???
  18. sure you can, but youre gonna spend a lot of cash cause they aint gonna bolt right on. I doubt you will be able to find some brand new Z06 calipers for cheap too.
  19. I didnt buy the kit yet, I dont think I need it from the looks of the camber but I wont be able to tell for sure til after I put a few thousand miles on the tires...
  20. mine is too, but only like one second slower. I just take off the door panel and spray white lithium grease in both tracks and go up and down with it a few times. I have to do it like once a month though cause it wears off. Thats all I can think of
  21. I live in Hilton Head and I dont know of anything for tuning trucks, but then again I just got out of the import car scene and I dont have any connections in the chevy performance world yet. Im sure theres something here though
  22. I made an offer of $250.00 but he didnt take it, damn
